Knock knock who wants more reasons to hate cops and the justice system? :D
That’s right, you do!!
I spent a day with DEATH ROW SURVIVORS
I spent a day with SURVIVORS OF POLICE BRUTALITY
I spent a day with BLACK LIVES MATTER PROTESTERS
You know that the intersectional patriarchy is still at large when my Blxck trxnswxman friend tried to go to planned parenthood for emergency tampons + Tylenol and they gave her nothing but bad customer service for not being a cis woman. 🤷♀️
My Applied Social Science prof: (in a discussion prompt) can graffiti be therapeutic even if it’s criminal? There are no wrong answers uwu
Excuse me ma’am what the fuck
Like first off, she was obviously only talking about contemporary graffiti, but never specified.
Second off, she lumped legal street art in with illegal tagging
Contemporary graffiti was created by Latino and black people in NYC. It was used as a means to give their communities voices- to remind people that they existed.
Graffiti and street art memorials of George Floyd were created internationally as a way to mourn the victims of police brutality and to unite racial minorities across the globe. They were/are symbols of solidarity and they are beautiful.
If you want a more basic example of how graffiti can be therapeutic, just watch Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.
My prof is incompetent for many reasons, but this one makes me particularly angry.
If you are a self shipper of color, you are so valid. Your f/o thinks you are the most beautiful person they’ve ever met in their entire life.
England players consider taking the knee at T20 World Cup: Chris Jordan | Cricket News – Times of India
LONDON: England fast bowler Chris Jordan says his teammates are considering taking the knee before the start of their T20 World Cup opener against the West Indies, who have confirmed to repeat the anti-racism gesture on October 23. The last time England players took a knee was in August 2020 when they clashed with Ireland in an ODI and their decision to stop doing it was criticised by West Indies…

It should be stigmatized for women to try to look “cute” and “desirable” for cis men. 💀
Is it just me or am I the only one who wants to ban the word “lady” in the dictionary for its offensive, sexist, racist, and patronizing implications that wxmen are helpless little creatures worth domineering over and controlling and raping and murdering and turning into breeding sows for cis white men for their hedonistic pleasures?
TIPS FOR CIZ WHITE MEN IF YOU WANT TO BRING ABSOLUTE EQUALITY + EQUITY FOR WXMEN, WOC, AND BLXCK TRXNS WXMEN!
- Do not open doors for wxmen. This implies that you think of them as fragile, delicate, weak little feminine flowers who only care about strong buff men taking care of them and controlling them.
- Pay only HALF for a wxman’s dinner during a date. Paying for everything makes them assume that you only want one thing from her at the end of the night which is disgusting and objectifying.
- Do not call them “lovely wxmen” as in, you know, “These lovely wxmen work at the makeup department.” It’s patronizing, stereotypical, and implies that you value wxmen only because of their genitalia and the universal expectations for them to adhere to stereotypical norms in order to please men.
- Do NOT call wxmen “ladies!!” Modern-day wxmen are NOT ladies. They are NOT your bitches. Period.
- Clean the whole damn house by yourself.
- QUIT 👏BEING 👏CHIVALROUS. 👏
I am probably not the only person to consume social media with a need for some kind of identification value, as in visually. Since there has been a lot of change with representation of especially black people I’ve been seeing more content with black people in it. I often don’t look at that stuff for a long time as I‘ve realized why: I don’t look like these people. I totally understand why representation is so important now. I used to understand it before as well. But now on a whole new level.
As a white blonde girl pretty much 50% of the girls in my age seen in the media or on social media looked like me. I used to love polly pocket. Why? (Partly because) Polly Pocket herself is white and blond, even my eyes look similar.
I am so sorry for all the people who have never felt represented 'just' because there was never anyone looking like them. Representation matters so much
He killed two people. If he was Black how much would any of you bet he would called a thug???? How many White mass shooters are called thugs?
White mass murderers do not get called thugs, but if a Black person robs a store she or he is called a thug. They rarely call White murderers thugs.
Ayo tumblr why is this one of the first things that comes when you search up blm in the tags
So we were learning about the friars, natives, and soldiers in Texas History a couple weeks ago and we learned that when they were bored the soldiers would go out and fight the natives unprovoked
And my teacher was like, “Yes they shouldn’t have done that but they also saw the natives as scary, plus they didn’t get good pay and they had to pay for their own uniforms so they were under a lot of stress”
So I was like “wtf man that’s not right”
And then I realized that’s pretty much what’s going on run in America
Also I said “If you’re not a rich, white, straight, mentally healthy, mentally stable, physically healthy man you’re not going to be treated well in America” and my (white man) teacher said “That’s not true, I have some women friends that I treat with great respect” and I was so done with him that I literally said “Did I say I was talking about you?”
