Me, just trying to catfish some boots: gimme yer boots
okay so,I’ve vague posted about writing for a new fandom a few times because im too fucking stupid to try to put myself into the fandom space before I get any content done. Anyway, I’m a little late to the party but if you post a lot about BOTW or Linked Universe or Zelda stuff in general, please reach out to me, I want friends.
Idk maybe if there’s a discord server out there maybe send me a link?
Zelda and Link’s first kiss after the calamity would be soft and quiet and it would happen when they are just doing something they always do but they just lean in a little closer, move with a little more purpose and it kinda just happens. Like they are cuddling in bed because they both agree that they get the most rest when they’re together and one of them kinda realizes that there’s nothing stopping them now and no one’s expecting anything from them. Then one thing leads to another and they’re touching each other in places they hadn’t touched before, their hair is all askew and there’s salt water soaking into the pillows and drying on their skin. And not a word passes between them because why would there need to be when it’s written so clearly in everything they do? Every action, every look and step they take towards one another again is a language that only they can understand. Love isn’t a mystery to them, it’s an action, a reassurance, a hand to hold and gentle touch, it’s fragile and it’s sure footed. That extra support beam when the wind blows too hard and they’re falling apart. It’s knowing that you would risk everything just to be with someone who has done the same and more for you.
This is how I wrote Link’s mom in my fanfic.
I like how Link still says he or she even when he knows that everyone in Gerudo town (to our knowledge) uses she/her pronouns and that only women and non-binary people can enter Gerudo Town without the need to dress up. He’s like: there’s a possibility that it’s a guy doing this but it’s mystery how they managed to get to their water source without anyone noticing.
This is a Zelink song. I insist you listen to it and cry.
Yo wait in botw2 Link is gonna be way more expressive around Zelda…
He’s gonna be smiling a lot when he’s with her… I can feel it in my bones.
The order of the memories are really weird. And I say this because memory 8 is when Link gets injured and memory 10 is when he gets healed. Memory 9 is Silent Princess so either memory 10 was meant to come first or Link’s injury had not yet healed in memory 9 and something happened between memory 8 and 9 and also 9 and 10 that prompted Link to go see Mipha, either be invite or because of infection from improper care of the wound, i get the feeling that this was intentional.
The order in which they took place wasn’t a mistake and in fact, Link’s arm likely wasn’t healed properly until several days after the fact.
It’s really interesting how, Link got injured and instead of going to see someone who could help dress it, he traveled half way across the country just so Zelda could get a break from monsters. So he either a) only trusted Mipha enough to do it or b) just didn’t say anything about it hurting until it became too much to ignore and he chose to go see Mipha. Although, it could also be that Zelda made him go… who knows, it’s just really weird that his arm is covered in Silent Princess but in the memory just before A Premonition, he had a scar on his arm, and then in Mipha’s Touch it was still there is if I see correctly, it looks inflamed before she finishes healing it.
So basically he got hurt and avoided seeing the one person he trusted to heal him for some reason?? And I think maybe it’s because Zelda was being more openly affectionate at the beginning of memory 8 and he started to feel things for Zelda he hadn’t before and thus felt bad about seeing Mipha since he starts to realize he doesn’t love her the way he knows she loves him. He likely found himself liking Zelda more, not even in any particular sense but it’s clear that there is some chemistry happening and there is a clear tension being expresses by the order of these three memories.
It’s as if the mere order of them is expressing that Link already knows he doesn’t love Mipha in that sense, he knows that Zelda is the one he wants and I can understand that he would want to avoid his friend whom he knows loves him romantically because he doesn’t want to break her heart when he tells her he does not love her the way he may want to. Not because he feels that way towards her but because he doesn’t want to he the one to hurt his childhood friend all because he couldn’t love her the way he loves Zelda.
I just- god the order of the memories tells so much and I love it.
Link giggling like a school girl when Zelda flirts with him and he just loses all logical functions because she’s pretty and very smart and so lovely he feels like he’s floating when he’s around her.
Anyways I want to see Link falling madly in love with Zelda in botw2 (yes just like Paya did with him) and just being so overwhelmed with those feelings he can’t hide his flustered smile.
Sorry. I cheated in this one.
Link and Zelda calling eachother sluts (affectionate) over King Rhoam’s grave.
Zelda, talking to Zumi, the girl at Serenne Stable and watching the group of Link and the three leviathan researchers all seeing who can eat the most rock hard food: I’m glad I know the Heimlich….
Zumi: which one’s yours?
Zelda: the one getting red in the face
Zumi: oh… is he okay…?
Zelda: A few more seconds won’t kill him.
Zumi: they’re not doing anything- they’re just watching.
Link: *passes out*
The other guys: *poking him with a stick*
One of the guys: I think he’s dead.
Zelda: I should probably go help. He’s got enough brain damage as is.
Zumi: …brain… damage…?
Zelda, pointing to the tallest one in the group: you. grab his ankles.
I like to put him in pink.
Also there’s a glitch with the Barbarian armor with the armor and leg wraps where if you dye them blue (the first color on the top left) they show up as magenta and I love that.
big year huh
Zelda, looking at someone standing right on top of molten lava rock: what is that idiot over there in the full Flamebreaker set doing?
The idiot: *takes off the pants and stands barefoot on the hot lava rock and lifting something in front of him*
Zelda, squinting: hold on…
Zelda, realizing that she knows that butt: THAT’S MY IDIOT- LINK PUT YOUR PANTS BACK ON—! GODDESSES ARE YOU TRYING TO GET THIRD DEGREE BURNS—?!!
The reason Link doesn’t pick up dogs in botw is because one, he doesn’t know if they’ll like that and two they’re a pretty big compared to him.
So because they’re too big, I propose we get remlits back in botw2 and this time we can feed them and carry them around like a bundle of apples. I also like the idea of getting a scene similar to when we saw feral remlits at night for the first time but instead Link thinks it’s a threat (since it’s ya know, an unknown creature with what looks like claws) but it turns around and it meows at him and he’s like: holy shittt oh my gods— Zelda would love this. And he picks it up and he has this little smile
Ordon goats but they have bells tied to their horn that hang in the middle of the loop. Or their horns are wrapped with fabric that has multiple bells on them.
Idk I just think that’s a cute idea. It’s probably been thought of already.
Wouldn’t it be funny if the darkest thing in botw2 is going to be the fact that Link and Zelda are having to work through amnesia, trauma and likely PTSD too and the actually “dark” part about the game is that the lights are just turned off most of the time?
