SARA: I wanted a doll that looked like a friend, like she could hear every word I said, understand every story I told her, and I named her Emily. I think Papa and I went to every shop in London, looking at dolls. Big dolls, small dolls, dolls made of cloth and buttons. But none of them were Emily. And then, one day--- There she was. She looked as if she'd been waiting for me, just as I was searching for her.
I would never turn Broadway down, obviously. But my idea of success has changed so drastically. Broadway is no longer my be all, end all goal. I just want to perform on stage professionally. Truth be told, success for me would be to perform with a group like StarKid, or to get Cardboard Classics off the ground and fully functioning. Especially seeing how many problems there are in the Broadway industry.
And what is this very very good news you may ask?
I have tickets to a musical. And this musical is
Story on how I was able to get 2 tickets to this show:
One of my friends got tickets for her and her mom last year. Well, since theater was canceled last year due to a pandemic, and they were rescheduled to this year. My friend's mom was able to get tickets for another date and the seats are closer to the stage. My friend knew that I'm a fan of the show and offered me the tickets from before the pandemic.
Do I need to give her money? Yes.
But will I miss this opportunity to see a show? Hell No
My mom has a new job as a kindergarten teacher. My mom is also a huge fan of the show. So you can say this is a present for my mom and a present from my friend.
I still can't believe I'll be sitting in my local theater watching a live theater.
I still can't!!!!!!
Hear me out...

Where do I even start with Oliver? Let’s talk about the character, no, PERSON that was used in place of an apology for Kristolyn and Alex Thomas coming forward.
During the Anger of that time, it was announced we’d be getting a new character for the Dear Evan Hansen Movie, played by DeMarius Copes, Oliver. Oliver would be included with Zoe’s friend group, you’d think by how they phrased it, he would have a significant role
He was included in the main cast, from what I thought, he’d have a role, he’d act and we’d have a character that’s cool or interacts in the story someway shape or impactful form.
14 seconds, that may not sound bad to some but let’s break down his scenes shall we?
One second was him singing
Another one second is him dedicated to staring at Evan
The last ten seconds is where they walk down the Hallway
He’s also really easy to miss, this isn’t on us, I missed two scenes he was in and they happened to be the shorter ones and I was actively looking for him!
You can’t sit here and say he wasn’t done wrong or that it doesn’t matter because he was a background character, read this. “DeMarius Copes may about to become a superstar”, you can’t tell me that doesn’t like he has a bigger role or that his character was important in some way

"Still ain't shuttin' up about Santa Fe, huh?", Race snarled and the boys laughed, having heard the stories of the West hundreds and hundreds of times - of course, no one stepping any nearer than a hundred feet within the voice range of Jack Kelly could ever avoid this topic and honestly, it's been a running gag amongst the Newsies of Manhatten for quiet some time now.
Spot Conlon smirked and Jack barely caught himself from flinching away when the King of Brooklyn hit his shoulder; "Aye Kelly, leave all you want and dont'cha worry, I takes over ya union so the fellas can see what a real leader does, alright!"
The protests of the Manhatten Newsies were only overtuned by their laughter at Jack's stunned grimace and Race held out his hand to Spot for a high five when Jack exploded into thankfulness for the opportunity to stay - well, his very own kind of thankfulness; "If Santa Fe means leaving the fellas with Spot Conlon, I stays so the poor guy won't get crushed by you people, y'all be so many, y'all won't see him down there!" and then it was Jack Kelly running from his doom once again.
Thanks Mr. Page for superior "Hades wears turtleneck" idea.
