when I was a kid, my neighbour friend down the road would come over, and by the end of the play date he’d throw my toys around, threatening to go home. I’d cry, and he’d leave.

one day, my mom told me: stop caring. he will change his behaviour, once you act like you don’t care.

so the next play date, almost a week later, when he got angry and left, I let him.

sure enough, the next day, he showed up at my house in the rainstorm - tiny yellow jacket covering his snivelling face. i don’t even think i let him in.

he kept coming back.

sometimes, i think that’s the only way to love people.

Roman angst fanfic prompt

During POF, Roman starts bruising a lot. He doesn't notice the sheer amount of bruising that's happening to him until he rises up in his room upset over the video. That's when the pain really kicks in, and he's just left on the floor sobbing from not only the events of the video, but from pain now too.

My ** really is a good person. He always reminds of all my good qualities, supports my interests/work, displays genuine care and interest, checks in with me, and is patient when i’m frazzled. And as the cherry on top, he always asks “what do YOU want?” - I’m accustomed to thinking in the interest of others that a lot of the time I don’t stop to recognize/think what *I* even want.

They may not all be healthy but they do mean something to her, in a strange way, in the end. It drives her absolutely insane how red he can get her to turn just from simple teasing, though... Girl blushes from her ears down to her chest, so when she flushes... it's quite the sight.

draken x gn!reader a lil aftercare drabble bc he’s perfect, inferred rough sex/bdsm dynamics, reader has hickeys but nothing within the text? maybe a littol ooc i am very soft today so draken is too,  0.3k words 

   he looks down at the marks he caused without realizing, his previously animistic grip now replaced with gentle, almost nervous hands- holding you like a piece of glass, as he stares through you with such loving eyes. strong hands delicately tracing away from the marks of his bruising grip, dancing along your skin to reach the much darker scattering of marks cascading down your neck. thumb tracing over the tender skin in gentle movements, as sleep ebbs away at the mild aches across your body. “you good, princess?”, his voice although still rough has a newfound gentleness, a slight teasing tone matching his ghosting gestures as he curls your tired frame into his chest.

   your previously strained throat not ready for any greater response than a happy smile, nodding into the hand still holding your face so tenderly, leaning into draken’s safe hold. carefully keeping you from falling- even the short distance from his chest to the sheets as you rest, curled up. satisfied with your sleepy reassurance, a small smile plays across his face hidden into the side of your neck, lips replacing his hands gentle caress. moving between each mark with care, arms wrapping round your waist, holding you immovably close, as he reaches the final mark. it’s a little more tender than the others, resting just above the left collar bone, you feel his lips ghosting over the skin once again gentle smile shifting as he lightly bites down onto the already glowing bruise. 

   your exhausted body curling into him, another whine ripped out of your throat, as he plants a gentle kiss once again on the mark. matching your muted response with a chuckle, hand coming back to cradle your face, the all to familiar smirk spread across draken’s handsome one, “so good to me”.
