    . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

“It is time.” Ayo said to Bucky and I. We were sitting by a fire on our own.

“Are you sure about this?” Bucky and I asked in unison. It was a while after we came out of cryo. I had already been adopted but we needed to make sure that Bucky and I were free of this demon once and for all.

“I won't let you hurt anyone.”  She assured us.

“Желание. Ржавый. Семнадцать”  Ayo began reciting his code words. (Longing. Rusted. Seventeen.)

“It's not gonna work.” Bucky refused. I gave him my hand to squeeze which he sure did.

“Рассвет. Печь. Девять. Добросердечный. Возвращение на родину. Один. Грузовой Вагон” Bucky cried in elation. His hair was in the way of his eyes and he sobbed. (Daybreak. Furnace. Nine. Benign. Homecoming. One. Freight Car.)

“You did it, Buck. You did it…” I said, hugging him.

“And you, child.” Ayo said, turning to me as I peeled my arms from him.

“Щенок. Сердитый. одинокий. Призрак. Скрытый.” She said. My hands dug into the log we were sitting on, splintering my fingers. (Puppy. Angry. Lonely. Shadow. Hidden.)

“Оригинальный. Премия. Кнопка. Темнота. До свидания.” Ayo finished as I buried my face in my hands. (Original. Prize. Key. Darkness. Until We Meet Again.)

“You are free… You are free.” Ayo said as Bucky wrapped his (right) arm around me and sobbed into my shoulder.

    . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

“How could you free him?” Ayo asks, furious.

“We need his help.” Bucky tried.

“With time, will, and the resources, the Winter Soldier programming was removed from you like a rotten fur.” Ayo reminded us.

“And we are so grateful for that. We’re grateful for everything you and Shuri have done…” I told her.

“Zemo murdered our King T'Chaka at the U.N. The man who chose us- who chose me to protect him.” Ayo said, walking around us.

    “I understand.” Bucky complied.

“Very little, if anything, of our loss and our shame.” Ayo gritted.

“uyindlela yoku fikelela esiphelweni” I said to her in Xhosa. (He’s a means to an end)

“Eight hours. Then we come for him.” Ayo said as she reached her hand out, signaling to give her the Kimoyo bead as we walked away from each other.

On our trek back to the house Zemo had, silence filled the air. Like before, comfortable silence but this time it had a hint of a negative energy. We climbed the stairs and looked both ways before entering the house.

As I closed the door behind Ori and Bucky, Zemo also walked in. Dressed in a robe, slippers and a glass in hand, we walked towards Sam.

“Well, the Wakandans are here. They want Zemo. Bought us some more time.” Bucky announced.

    “Were you followed?” Sam asked.

“Nope.” I stated, matter-of-factually and popping the P.

“How can you be so sure?” Zemo asked.

“Cause I know when I'm being followed.” I said back, walking into the kitchen to grab a glass of apple juice. Why did Zemo have it? No idea.

“It was sweet of you to defend me at least.” Zemo said, turning around.

“Hey, you shut it. No one's defending you. You killed Nagel.” Sam warned him.

“Do we really have to litigate what may or may not have happened?” Zemo avoided the topic.

“There's nothing to litigate. You straight shot the man.” Sam said. Bucky was reading something on his iPhone. The X to be specific. Glad he finally upgraded, I chuckled internally while peeking over his shoulder.

    “Sam.” Bucky called.

    “What?” He responded.

“Karli bombed a GRC supply depot.” Bucky sighed.

“What? What's the damage?” Sam asked, surprise present in his voice.

“Eleven injured, three dead. They have a list of demands and are promising more attacks if those demands aren't met in full.” Bucky read off of his phone. Sam only sighed, me along with him. We were in a pickle now.

“She's getting worse. I have the will to complete this mission. Do the three of you?” Zemo asked.

“She's just a kid.” Sam said. I frowned, “I'm right here Sam. Yoo-hoo.”

“You're seeing something in her that isn't there. You're clouded by it. She's a supremacist.” Zemo said to Sam. “The very concept of a Super Soldier will always trouble people. It's that warped aspiration that led to Nazis, to Ultron, to the Avengers.” Zemo explained, gesturing with his hands.

“Hey, those're our friends you're talking about.” Sam warned.

“The Avengers. not the Nazis.” I clarified, sitting on the stool next to where Bucky was standing at the end of the kitchen island and scratching behind Orion’s ear.

“So, Karli is radicalized, but there has to be a peaceful way to stop her.” Sam mentioned.

“The desire to become a superhuman cannot be separated from supremacist ideals. Anyone with that serum is inherently on that path. She will not stop. She will escalate until you kill her. Or she kills you.” Zemo said, causing Sam to raise his head.

“Maybe you're wrong, Zemo. The serum never corrupted Steve.” Bucky countered.

“Touché. But there has never been another Steve Rogers, has there?” Zemo argued.

“Well, maybe we should give him to the Wakandans right now.” I chided with a smirk, not even looking up.

“And you'll give up your tour guide?” Zemo questioned.

“You know it.” I stated. Bucky stood up and walked over to the couch, Ori and I following.

“From my understanding, Donya is like a pillar of the community, right? So, when I was a kid, my Titi passed away.” Sam began

“Your Titi?” Bucky said, confused. I giggled as I sat down and Orion jumped into my lap.

“Yeah, my Titi, yeah.” Sam answered.

“Who is your TT?” Bucky questioned, prompting me to full on laugh.

“Fine. When I was a kid, my aunt passed away and the entire neighborhood got together for a ceremony” Sam relented. “It was like a week long. Maybe they're doing the same thing for Donya.” Sam suggested.

“It's worth a shot” I said, still slightly giggling.

“Your Titi would be proud of you.” Zemo said, bringing attention to himself and taking a jar of candies off the counter. “Turkish delight. Irresistible” He said, and tossed one to Sam.

    . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

About an hour later, the gang (plus Zemo) were walking through the streets of Latvia.

“Shame what's become of this place. When I was young, we used to come here for fabulous dinners and parties. I knew nothing of the politics of the time, of course, but I remember it being beautiful.” Zemo reminisced.

“I'm gonna take a look around upstairs. See what you can find out here. And keep an eye on him.” Sam said to Bucky and I

“I'll stay out of your way.” Zemo defended, putting his hands up and walking away

Bucky and I walked up to a few people “Donya?” He questioned. No response. “No?” He muttered.

I walked up to a few children. They seemed hesitant for sure, but did not back away. I waved at them and kneeled. “Hi there” I said softly. They didn't answer, only swapped glances and then looked at Ori. “He’s friendly. G’head, pet him” I said with a smile. They took me up on my offer.

“It was nice meeting you” I said with a smile and ruffled the kids' hair, following behind Zemo.

Zemo sung Ba-Ba-Black Sheep like a damn creep that's for sure. We walked towards a group of children. F.R.I.D.A.Y. told me none of the people there posed a threat either so that was good. Zemo pulled out a stool next to the children. He showed them the bag of turkish delights and poured the all onto the stool.

“Turkish Delight.” Zemo stated. “They were always my son’s favorite.” Zemo never really mentioned his family after Siberia so I felt bad for him. What? I'm not a robot, I feel empathy. One of the little girls inspected Orion.

“He’s friendly. You can pet him if you’d like.” I said, repeating my words from before. Like the previous kids, they graciously accepted my offer.

“My old friend, Donya, passed away. Did you know her?” Zemo asked the little girl.

“Yes.” She said, The child was quiet and hesitant.

“I would like to pay my last respects. Do you know where her funeral will be?” Zemo said to the girl. She looked up at me, sort of asking me if it was okay. I nodded my head and she whispered the location to us.

“Do you see these men there?” Zemo asked, pointing to Bucky and Sam. “They're very bad. Not to be trusted. Donya is our little secret, okay?” He told the little girl. I gasped and smacked him upside the head.

“Don't listen to him. He’s kind… but cuckoo” I mouthed the last two words, pointing a finger at my head and twirling it around. The little girl giggled to her friends as we walked away, passing out the candies.

“Cute kids.” Zemo stated. “Didn't know you were good with them” He pointed out.

“I have a little sister, you know. Cutest thing ever...” I mentioned, referring to Morgan.

Zemo looked at me. He was unsure what I was talking about because as long as the rest of the world was concerned, I was the only Stark child. He seemed confused, maybe saw me in a new light? Either way I could care less.

As we walked back into the house, Sam, Bucky, Ori, and I sat down on the couch.

“Well, I got nothin'. No one's talkin' about Donya.” Bucky said, exasperated.

“Yeah, it's because Karli is the only one fighting for them.” Sam informed. Bucky only sighed. “And she’s not wrong,” Sam stated.

“What do you mean?” Bucky asked.

“For five years, people have been welcomed into countries that have kept them out using barbwire.” I cut in for Sam. “There were houses and jobs. People were happy to have people around to help them rebuild. It wasn't just one community coming together, it was the entire world coming together.” I sighed.

“And then, boom. Just like that, it goes right back to the way it used to be. To them, at least Karli's doin' somethin'.” Sam finished.

“You really think her ends justify her means? Then, she's no different than him or anybody else we've fought.” Bucky said, pointing to Zemo.

“She's different. She's not motivated by the same things.” I interjected.

“That little girl. What'd she tell you?” Sam asked Zemo.

“The funeral is this afternoon.” Zemo answered.

“You know the Dora's coming for you any minute. In fact, they're probably lurking outside right now. Keep talking.” Bucky demanded.

“Leaving you to turn on me once we get to Karli. Hmm. I prefer to keep my leverage.” Zemo said. Bucky stood up, squaring up to Zemo. Before he could walk over to him, the glass shattered all over the floor. Everyone turned to me.

“You wanna see what someone can do with leverage?” I asked Zemo grimly.

“Hey. Both of you. Don't engage him. He's just gonna extort you and do that stupid head tilt thing.” Sam said to us as I only sighed. “Let me make a call.” He said, walking away.

“You want some cherry blossom tea?” Zemo asked Bucky.

“No, you go ahead.” He gritted. Bucky sat back down and I leaned my head on his shoulder.

    . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

As we walked through the streets of Latvia, we saw two men draped in the American flag.

“Ah! How'd you find us now?” Bucky exclaimed as we came out from behind a car.

“Come on, man. You really think three and a half Avengers can walk around Latvia without drawing attention?” Lemar said.

“Um, Ori is a full avenger by the way.” I informed them. Lemar and the boys chuckled at my antics.

“No more keeping us in the dark. You could start by telling us why you broke him out of prison.” Walker demanded.

“He did that himself, technically.” Bucky said.

“This better be an unbelievable explana-” Walker said before I pressed my finger into his chest.

“Calm your ass down. Now.” I ordered him.

“I know where Karli is.” Zemo told them while he tried to go past Walker.

“Well, where?” He demanded again, blocking Zemo.

“All we know is, it's a memorial. So, we're gonna intercept her there.” Sam told them.

“That means civilians. High risk of casualties.” Lemar reminded us as we started walking.

“Good thing we know what we’re doing.” I chided.

“All right, good, we'll move in fast. Take her by surprise.” Walker said.

“No, I wanna talk to her alone.” Sam told him.

“I'm not losing her again.” John said.

“Look, the person closest to her died, she's vulnerable. If there's any time to reason with her, it's now.” Sam explained.

“What? No. Wait, no! No! Stop. Hold on. Stop, okay? I think we're way past reasoning with her, unless you forgot the fact that she blew up a building with people still in it. Sam, you walk in there cold, she could kill you.” John commented.

“If I go in hot and the op goes wrong, more people will die.” Sam remarked.

“You're gonna let him do this? Are you gonna let your partner walk into a room with a Super Soldier alone?” John asked, turning to us.

    “More than you.” I sassed.

“He's dealt with worse. And he's not my partner.” Bucky corrected John and I chuckled.

“I used to counsel soldiers dealing with trauma, okay? This is right in my wheelhouse.” Sam informed John.

“Yeah, I know. And I know those soldiers, which is why I know this is a bad idea.” John countered.

“Wait, John. If he can talk her down, it might be worth a try.” Lemar suggested.

“Finally. Someone with a brain.” I smirked at John, who was now looking at us, and he only scoffed.

“We'll deal with you later.” He said to Zemo, defeated.

“I'm sure it will all come to an agreeable conclusion. My associate is just up ahead.” Zemo said, pointing to the little girl briefly before Ori and I led the way to her. Walker was pissed. And I was happy about it.

“Hello, my friend. This is for your family. Can you show us the way?” Zemo asked the little girl while she was petting Ori. He handed her money and she nodded, signaling us to follow her.

“What the hell?” John asked, more of a statement to be honest. We followed the girl to a building and I gave her one last smile as she pet Orion's head and ran off.

“Karli's in there.” Zemo said, pointing to the door.

“All right…” Sam said, heading for the door. Before he could fully leave, he took a pair of handcuffs and placed one side around Zemo’s wrist and the other around a metal bar.

“Hey. You got ten minutes.” John said to Sam as the handcuff lock clicked. “Really?” Zemo asked. “Then we’re doing things my way.”

“Good luck Y/N.” Sam wished as he walked through the door.

“Thanks Sammy!” I shouted after him.

“Aggressive. But I get it.” Zemo said to John.

“Yeah. Kinky too.” I scoffed as I sat down next to where Bucky stood.

It hadn't even been a full ten minutes, yet John opened his mouth. “Uh-uh. No, no, no. This is a bad idea.” He shuffled around.

“It hasn't been ten minutes, John. Just sit tight.” I said with a smirk.

“Don't do that. Don't patronize me.” He said angrily and pointed at me.

“He knows what he's doing.” Bucky interjected.

“I'm goin' in.” Walker made his way to the door but I blocked him.

“Sit your ass down before I break all your bones until you can't do anything else.” I spat, my finger in his chest again.

“This is all really easy for you, isn't it? All that serum runnin' through your veins. Your partner needs backup in there. Do you really want his blood on your hands?” He said.

“Don't try that with me. The farthest you’ll get is the emergency room.” I warned John.

“Was that a threat?” He gritted.

“You bet your ass it was.” I said, calmly.

In my moment of silence, Walker pushed me to the ground and I scoffed. Ori helped me up and I ran after them.

“Karli Morgenthau, you're under arrest.” John shouted as he walked into the room.

“John you dick!” I shouted at him.

“So, this is what that was?” Karli asked Sam.

    “No, Karli wait-” Sam tried.

“Tricking me until your backup arrived?” She asked again.

“No, I think we had enough time to talk.” Walker said as he approached Karli. Before he could get to her, Ori and I tackled him. She ran and Bucky chased her. I got up and tried to follow.

Karli, Bucky, and I jumped over the railing of the stairs and raced after her. We jumped into a crowd of more Flag Smashers and pushed past them. She turned a few corners and we lost her.

“Shit!” I shouted. “We lost her” I informed Sam as he walked up to us.

“This place is a maze.” Bucky added.

    “F.R.I.D.A.Y.” I called.

    “Hey boss” She replied.

“Hi. Okay, I need you to run a thermal scan on the building. Find me the strongest heat signature please.” I asked.

“Working on it.” She said. “Okay. Found it.” The Irish accent spoke as we followed her directions.

In the room was an unconscious Zemo, one John Walker, and a whole lotta destroyed vials.

    . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

“Were you ever offered it?” Zemo asked Sam as we walked back into Zemo’s home.

    “What?” Sam asked.

    “The serum.” Zemo clarified.

    “No.” He said.

“If you had been, hypothetically, that is, would you have taken it?” Zemo inquired.

    “No.” Sam repeated.

“No hesitation. That's impressive.” Zemo praised before turning the topic around.

“Sam, you can't hold out hope for Karli. No matter what you saw in her, she's gone. And we cannot allow that she and her acolytes become yet another faction of gods amongst real people. Super Soldiers cannot be allowed to exist.” Zemo said. I clenched my jaw at his words.

“Isn't that how god's talk? And if that's how you feel, what about Bucky and Y/N? Blood isn't always the solution.” Sam said.

“Something's not right about Walker.” Bucky pointed out, changing the topic once more.

    “You don't say.” Sam remarked.

“He’s right Sammy. And trust me I know a crazy when I see one. Because I am crazy.” I reminded them.

“Can't argue with The Boss.” Sam teased as I rolled my eyes.

“Shouldn't have given him the shield.” Bucky said, again changing the topic.

“I didn't give him the shield.” Sam reminded.

“Well, Steve definitely didn't.” Bucky said as the door opened and closed loudly.

“All right. That's it. Let's go. I'm now ordering you to turn him over.” John demanded. Boy is he playing on my nerves now.

“Hey, slow your roll. And let's be clear, shield or no shield, the only thing you're runnin' in here is your mouth. Now, I had Karli and you overstepped. He's actually proven himself useful today. We're gonna need all hands on deck for whatever's comin' next.” Sam tried.

”How do you want the rest of this conversation to go, Sam, huh?” John warned. Okay. That's it. I'm gonna-

“Look. I have neither the time nor crayons to explain this to you, but you aren't doing a very good job at anything. Hell, Paw Patrol is doing a better job than you are.” I scoffed at him, interrupting my inner thoughts.

“Should I put the shield down? Make things fair?” John patronized.

“G’head. I beat Steve’s ass when he had it. I’ll make quick work of you.” I smirked at him.

As he put down the shield, a spear nearly impaled him as he stood back up. I looked around the room and the Dora Milaje walked in. I took a few steps back as John tried to talk to the Wakandan warriors.

“nokuba uyindlela yokuphela kwakho…” Ayo began in Xhosa. “amaxesha phezulu.” She said, (Even if he is a means to your end… Times up.)

“Release him to us. Now.” Ayo demanded, referring to Zemo.

“Hi. John Walker. Captain America.” He introduced himself.

“They don't care, John. Neither do we.” I chided.

“Well, let's, uh, put down the pointy sticks and we can talk this through, huh?” John tried, ignoring me.

“Does he not know what a spear is?” I asked, in full seriousness, to Bucky.

“Hey, John, take it easy. You might wanna fight Bucky before you tangle with the Dora Milaje.” Sam suggested.

“The Dora Milaje don't have jurisdiction here-” John pointed out.

“The Dora Milaje have jurisdiction wherever the Dora Milaje find themselves to be.” Ayo ordered.

“Okay.” John chuckled. “Look, I think we got off on the wrong foot.” He tried to put his hand on Ayo’s shoulder before the Dora Milaje went ham on him.

Ayo hit his arm off with the end of her spear, hitting him in the leg and then kicking him back into the spear which was lodged in the wall. He hit the floor with a thud as I spoke up.

“That's a lotta damage” I whistled while squatting to inspect John as if I really cared.

He rolled over, grabbing the shield while Ayo jumped and spun in the air, hitting her spear against the red, white, and blue shield. Another Dora jumped into the air and Ayo threw the spear at her so she could use it against Lemar. She put the spear on his neck as he tried to wiggle loose, all the while Ayo removed the spear lodged in the wall, spinning it around a few times and hitting it against the shield John was holding again.

“We should do something…” Sam said to us. Bucky and I looked at each other.

“Looking strong John!” We said in unison while Ori barked from in between my legs.

Ayo hit John a few more times before Sam called out again, “Bucky, Y/N.”

Before Ayo could impale John with her pointy stick, Bucky grabbed the shaft. “Ayo, let's talk about this.” Bucky tried while Ayo only grunted in response. On the other side of the room, another Dora Milaje threw Lemar onto the couch and before she could strike him, I grabbed one end of the spear and swiped it out of her hands. I tossed it to the side as I began to fight the woman.

“Now would be a good time to get up, Lemar” I said to him. “F.R.I., analyze fighting tactics please.” I asked F.R.I.D.A.Y.

“Here you go. Glad I could help.” The soft Irish voice said, displaying predictions on the screen lens of my glasses.

“Can’t you fight them by yourself?” Sam asked, who was holding his own against the third Dora Milaje.

“Oh of course I can. But a little help... never… hurts!” I exclaimed the last part as I ducked and jumped off the hardwood floors, kicking the Dora in the chest midair. She fell back a few paces and knocked over the couch on her way down. Super strength, remember? Comes in handy sometimes.

On the other side of the room, Ayo punched Bucky’s left shoulder a few times, resulting in a golden glow flowing down his arm and his Vibranium limb falling off. He looked at her in shock while Ayo only said “Bast damn you James...” He picked up the arm from the floor and clicked it back into place, the plates shifting back to their original position.

“Did you know they could do that?” Sam asked Bucky.

    “No.” Bucky half groaned.

I stood up and walked towards John, who was on the floor by the table. The strap to the shield had been pinned to the table. I pulled the spear out and it fell to the floor. I stomped on it and pushed my forearm into the straps. I gave the spear to the Dora Milaje who only gave me a look and left. I turned my gaze onto John and scoffed, dropping the shield into his lap and walking to Bucky, Sam, and Ori.

“Shit… He pulled an El Chapo on us.” I stated.

    “I can't believe it…” Sam said.

    “I can.” Bucky voiced.

    . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

We were sitting in what was left of the living room. I made a few calls to Morgan, Pepper, Uncle Rhodey, Happy, and Pete to let them know I was just fine. Well, really, Pete called me.

“She said what? Right. Hold on, hold on. I know, I know. Listen, pack an overnight bag and take the boys.” Sam said through the phone. His words scared me so I jumped up.

    “What happened??” I shouted.

“Karli called Sarah. She threatened my nephews.” He said to Bucky, Ori, and I. “Okay. Go somewhere safe. Only pay cash. All right? Let me know when you get there. I know. Look, I love you. I'll never let anything happen to you and the boys, you know that. Okay. Bye.” He said to Sarah one last time before turning the phone off.

“Karli wants to meet. She left a contact number.” Sam informed us. “She said come alone.”

“We’re coming with you.” Bucky said.

“Alright boys. Suit up.” I said, walking out of the living room, Ori following close behind.

    . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

We walked towards Karli, ready and pissed. I wore a black suit with a navy blue long sleeve top with a black vest-like jacket on top which matched Buckys. I wore black gloves on my hands, while my black pants fit comfortably and the black boots I wore felt like I was walking on a cloud. They were all custom made, hidden with technology in every practical place, and made by my Dad and I too. There was gold titanium alloy knitted into the fabric, making it bullet proof too.

Orion sported a black vibranium collar around his neck, the words “Stark'' engraved in white across the left side. A slim fitting dark tactical doggy vest, also with the words “Stark'' on the underbelly, a small latch connected the collar to the vest which wrapped around him comfortably, the custom outfit had been designed by my father and I.

Sam wore his perfectly designed falcon suit and Bucky wore the same suit from when we first met the flag smashers (like we all did right now). In some way, it was a sort of twisted reunion.

“Karli!” Sam shouted at her. “You called my sister? That's how we're gonna play this?” Sam exclaimed, infuriated.

“Sam, I would never hurt her. I just wanted to understand you better. I see you, um, didn't come alone.” Karli pointed out, Ori growling lowly.

“You have to end this now.” Sam ordered.

“I don't wanna hurt you. You're just a tool in the regimes I'm looking to destroy. You're not hiding behind a shield. If I were to kill you, it'd be meaningless. I was gonna ask you to join me. Or do the world a favor and let me go.” Karli tried.

Over the comms, Sharon spoke up. “Hey, Sam, new Cap is moving, looks like he's found them, or maybe they found him.” She said.

“It's Walker.” Sam informed us. Bucky jumped off the ledge but Karli intervened and kicked him against the wall.

“Buck!” I called, Ori and I jumped after him while Sam kicked Karli out of the way. We helped him up and Sam turned to us.

“I’ll send you the location, go! Y/N, come with me.” Sam nodded to Bucky. Ori chased behind Bucky as Sam grabbed me and used his falcon wings to fly us into the air.

“Woooo!” I shouted as I spread my arms to mimic Sam's wings. We landed and ran into the building and found John fighting a Flag Smasher. John bent a metal pole and kicked out the Flag Smasher while Sam and I turned to each other.

“Okay someone took some shit.” I said to him as we started following John.

We ran into a large room with tables all around. From behind us, two Flag Smashers dropped. Before anyone could even move, John threw his shield at them. Both stood back up and I threw a magnetic disk at one which electrocuted them. The other went for John. He punched the shield a few times and backed up, pulling out a small knife.

“What's with all the knives?” Walker scoffed.

We continued to fight. My eyes turned their usual unusual golden white glow as I teleported from corner to corner, surprising and knocking down each Flag Smasher. I saw Sam jump in the air and hit someone with his falcon wings, then propel himself onto a table.

    “Woah, sick dude” I said.

“Please Y/N, be serious for once in your life.” John said condescendingly.

“Who pissed in your Bitch-Flakes this morning?” I remarked. Bucky walked into the room, and that being the first thing he heard prompted a confused glance. Though, it didn't last long since a Flag Smasher threw a knife at him (which he caught, like, duh) and fought back. He pushed the man onto the floor and flipped the knife, throwing it right beside the man's face.

I proceed to reappear on top of another Flag Smasher, who had just happened to be the most experienced one. I wrapped my legs around their neck and flipped forwards, dragging them down with me. I teleported behind another one and kicked their knees and then kicked them in the chest. I saw Bucky punch a Flag Smasher behind Sam and only say a quick “Your Welcome” which made me chuckle. Orion bit someone's calf as I whistled for him to come to me.

Out of my peripherals, I saw John being held down by a Flag Smasher. As Karli dashed towards him with a knife, I teleported in front of her and kicked her back, Lemar tackling her. As Lemar got up from the ground, Karli punched him. Hard. He flew into a pillar and the sound of a horrifying crack echoed through the room. I teleported to his side.

“F.R.I.D.A.Y. vitals… now please.” I said to her. Five seconds passed.

“I'm sorry Boss...” She answered. Walker shook the Flag Smasher off of him and ran over to Lemar. He picked me up and threw me across the room towards Bucky, Sam, and Ori. They helped me up and I groaned “That's probably gonna bruise” as I rubbed my leg.

Karli pulled off her mask while John called Lemars name. I lowered my head in silence, petting Orion's head. I felt horrible for Lemar, he was a good person and probably had a good family who I felt even worse for.

The Flag Smashers quickly dispersed as John smashed through the window.

“That's my cue!” I shouted, teleporting after him.

    “Y/N! Y/N wait-!” Bucky shouted.

I reappeared over John and tackled him. He threw me against the wall and blocked an attack from the Flag Smasher he was chasing.

“Where is she!” John yelled to him while hitting him with the shield which knocked him down against the fountain.

“Crap!” I said, quickly teleporting in front of John. He kicked me again, this time into the fountain behind the Flag Smasher. John raised the shield and again, I reappeared in the right spot to grab the shield with both hands.

“John you have- John you have to stop” I forced the words through my mouth. He only grunted in response. John pulled the shield back up over my head and hit me with it. I dropped and scattered on the ground.

The glow in my eyes faltered once I blinked a few times. I set my wet and bloodied gloved hand on his ankle. It was a futile attempt to stop him since he kicked me, launching me back towards Bucky. As I stood, I opened my eyes and tried to teleport again, only for me to realize that I was too exhausted.

John smashed the shield against the man. One. “It wasn't me!” Two. “It wasn't me!” Three. His hand dropped against the fountain. I sniffled, blood dripping from my nose. John stood and looked around. There were phones recording, people gasping in shock.

    “Shit…”

    . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

A/N: EEEHEEEEEHEEEE THERE YOU GOOOO. Lets see what happens now! I really hope you like it Dangers! But any who, I need some ideas for the next Misplaced Memories chapter, so please leave a like and comment or send in an ask :) Thank you!

    “Bucky,” Sam calls.

    “Mh?”

    “Can I kiss you?”

The easiest answer would be yes.

Bucky needs it as a reassurance that everything is and will be alright. Sam needs it for the same reason. They don’t do good with physical touch, missed the lesson about affection or slept through it, but they’re trying to make up for every lost occasion, kiss and night. When the sun shines on them and they need a shoulder to lay their heads on, they’re both there.

But there’s a point where love comes disinterested and genuine, so much so that two men get a little scared and need a minute to act upon it. This is one of those moments.

Bucky drops his hands at his sides, “No.” he says.

or: Captain America, Bucky Barnes and one of the most dangerous men on earth take a break from the world and learn that talking about their feelings isn't really that bad
