So I’ve had this small cacti for over 2 years now and usually it starts growing around three little knobs that wil turn in to flowers. But this year it got (I counted it) 20!! Even tough it isn’t growing straight up anymore it’s doing such a good job and I’m so proud of my one and only plant. :)

2Recapturing Joy: Flowers
One thing I’ve struggled with a lot is self worth, and I tried to remedy that with external validation. A recent revaltion from councelling is that nothing is stopping me from validating myself, and my goal for this week is to focus on compassion based therapy. So I’ve decided to start simple, and buy myself flowers. Getting flowers from others makes me feel loved so I’m going to give that feeling to myself. This week I’ve got white roses - respect - and yellow carnations - sympathy - to connect to that self compssion idea.
