My 5 Year Story
Well here is My 5 Year Story and my 7 week update. (for anyone who has time for a read)
May 2016: I hit the heaviest (99kg/218 pounds) and widest (waist 113cm/44.5 inches) I have ever been in my life. Partially, deliberately. No matter what your afflictions are, we all need to face one extremely important issue: Are we going to Heaven? Well, are you? And, what do it base it on? I base my going to Heaven on Jesus, my Lord and Savior!
Scripture states, “For God so loved the world that He sent His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him would not perish, but have eternal life.”(John 3:16). Scripture also states, “For if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”(Romans 10:9).
This is faith! I have faith in Jesus, and I know without a doubt that my God can do all things; physical and spiritual. Nothing is impossible for Him! I stand on my Faith!

A Little About US..
I have always said that we need to trust in the Lord, because He can do all things; nothing is impossible for Him! I say this, because I believe this without a doubt. 1. Because everyday that I read Scripture, I see all of the mighty deeds that God has done in the Old Testament, and the greatest mighty deed being, Jesus, rising from the dead, and ascending into Heaven, along with what the Apostles had done, through the power of the Holy Spirit, and 2. And me, I’m a walking miracle!
My second favorite miracle is the story of the Centurion(Roman Soldier). The Centurion approached Jesus and said, “Lord, my servant is home paralyzed and suffering dreadfully.” Jesus replied, “I will go with you to your home and heal him.” The Centurion replied, “Lord, I am not worthy to have you come under my roof, just say the word, and my servant will be healed. For I tell people what to do and they do it, and I’m told what to do and I do it.” Jesus was amazed at the Centurion’s great faith, so Jesus told the Centurion to go, for what he had asked for would be done for him. And it was! Faith and trust in God, that’s all it takes!
So, do you have faith? Do you know Jesus? Is He your Savior? Do you trust in Him? What are you waiting for, if the answer to the questions is no? Just ask with all of your heart, being sorry for all that you have done wrong, and He will live in your heart and change your life forever!

Just a stroll through a dry creek bed to take my mind away from the grid of life’s troubles. Oh I miss you traveling life. I yearn to do it again soon. Maybe Big Bend National Park, maybe Yellowstone National Park, maybe Zion National Park, who knows where life will lead us. I learned to live when faced with my mortality, cancer showed me what could be and what is. Life is what I choose and I am going to enjoy every minute of it. Counting the days to breath fresh air.
I’m so lucky. Even the timing of my getting cancer was fortunate. We got the house and were moved in months ahead of time and we were able, through the help of my friends and readers of this blog, to stock up on things I’d need for chemo–things like sanitizer and wipes and lysol. Stuff that would keep me safer during chemo but which would become impossible to find at that time because of the pandemic.
But that’s kind of the point: by the time the pandemic hit, we had that stuff already because of chemo. I even got to have one chemo session with my boyfriend there before the pandemic really kicked in here. And, sure, I had to face the rest of chemo, months of it, all alone. It sucked, but even then my boyfriend’s boss was sympathetic and let him get days off on the fly. (so he could take me to and pick me up from chemo)
For the first time in my whole life, I’m in a living situation where I’m safe and my needs are being met. A lot of that IS my boyfriend. He’s absolutely saved my life and every part of my ass.
The thing is, sometimes I don’t recognize it. Because I lived in fear and anger and scarcity for so long, I sometimes, now, don’t see how lucky I am. This really bothers me about myself.
I remember the day I started the harshest chemotherapy. I was trying to watch the movie Christopher Robin in my hospital room.
Usually, the chemotherapy had mild effects on me, and I would just feel really tired, and my vision would get really blurry. Sometimes I would get a rash.
But, as I was watching Pooh Bear and Christopher walking together, I suddenly felt the grratest urge to vomit. I quickly ran to the bathroom, and threw up my fruit smoothie.
So, now whenever I think about that movie, my memory always associated it with vomiting. Is this classical conditioning?
CanHOPE, a non-profit cancer counselling and support service provider asked few cancer survivors about their heroes.
CanHOPE is initiated by Parkway Cancer Centre Singapore, and as part of the holistic approach towards cancer treatment, CanHOPE works closely with the medical & allied health professionals, offering a wide range of resources & information about cancer in helping patients & their caregivers to make effective, informed decisions in their treatment journey.
Some of us may see cancer patients as a victim, but there is one thing that many fellow cancer patients, from all walks of life and backgrounds, approach the disease as true heroes — from undergoing extreme acts of bravery to medically survive and not give up (acting as a positive and hopeful example for others to follow)…to more directly helping others (in whatever way their background sets them up to). It is truly an amazing thing to witness and seeing it is a real blessing.
As I reflect on my drive through mountains and the joy it brings me I realize I have a strong need to go to the mountains again. It amazing how cancer can change your perspective on life. It makes you see how family and family experiences become the most important aspect of life. Everything else is only a necessity to achieve the ladder.
There is something so peaceful about standing in the middle of no where looking off to the distance with nothing to do but just take all its beauty in. Living the dream. Big Bend National park you stole my heart. 
Maybe it was the cancer diagnosis that changed how I see life, but I struggle to see how I never found peace before. Seeing nature as I have never seen before. Traveling as I never traveled before. Blessed everyday that I am alive to take in the beauty of the surroundings.
After surviving cancer treatments, I reflected on this moment. As I stood at the ledge I realized that in my 42 years of life I had never seen such beauty and when I was first diagnosed with cancer I could have died and never seen this. I decided at that moment that I would not die before I see more. To take a deep breath of the fresh air that is as pure as life itself. Cancer will not deprive me of this magnificent beauty. I foresee more travel.
