Y'know how we like to joke about Cas hating John and being like fiercely protective of Dean and how like Cas hated John for his abuse/abandonment of his son?
Dean should’ve been just as protective of Cas when they found out Chuck was God

Having just watched Castiel’s first episode, my thoughts are as follows:
Artemis, his voice is deep. Also, finally! Gay angel!
Aww, you’re cute (as in his actions and speech patterns). I hope you stay. Does he stay?
*upon seeing his wings* Those are beautiful, Castiel, but my gods they’re broken. Are you okay?
god i hate the knowledge that if cw released like a destiel cut with deleted scenes from the finale i’d buy it. like does the cw deserve any money? absolutely not. am i immune to gay angel? absolutely not.
Uh, I’m not really sure what to say. Hey @casintheempty, how you doing man? I heard from @wildmage7 that you were able to access this website from the empty. That’s kind of insane. Dean, Jack, and I are working on a way to get you out, so hopefully soon we’ll have an answer.
There’s so much I want to ask, but first, is that really you man?
I am once again continuing that one Destiel fic
This part is canon compliant with season 8 and it was thee most fun thing ever to write

Chapter 5: season 8
1
{“Where’s the angel?” It was all he said, all he thought nowadays. Purgatory was pure because he knew what his goal was. Find Cas. Escape. Find Cas. Escape. Then there was Benny, who had become Dean’s friend more quickly then he wanted to admit. Well, friend wasn’t exactly the word for them. It wasn’t like Dean hadn’t slept with men before, but this was one of the only times he’d done it sober, and the only time he’d done it with a vampire. Purgatory was pure, and he was just himself down here. It was making him face some things he didn’t want to examine too closely, such as the way he felt about Cas. On the other hand, he could explain it away by saying it was just him and Benny down here, and Benny provided some things he missed about the outside world, but that wasn’t the whole truth. It didn’t matter really, he was just there to find Cas. “Where’s. The angel.”
and more about that godstiel !!!!! it was all “u should have told us . u should have asked for help” and “what we dont do is go and make another deal with the devil” yea OK . are we going to ignore cas talking about the civil war in heaven the WHOLE SEASON and team human being like “yea ok quit whining somethings wrong with sam for a change” or “yea fuck heaven and fuck the war and fuck the posibility of a redo of the apocalypse cas come here buddy we found a funny stick” ??

The most interesting thing about supernatural is that the main characters are not heroes.
In most of the shows/movies/books with the fighting evil and/or saving the world plotline the main character is always a hero. They are not necessarily good or right, but saving people and saving the world is their priority, either by the conscious choice or they are forced into a position where they have to make it a priority under the influence of external circumstances. Saving people/defeating evil is always the goal, the main cause.
And for the Winchesters it’s just their job. They get up in the morning and they go to work, except their work is killing monsters and fighting another big bad villain, and unfortunately they don’t get paid for it, but in any other sense it’s just an ordinary job. The family business. Both Sam and Dean don’t always do the job right or make the right choice - but that’s just a bad work day, the same happens at work with anyone. They make a lot of mistakes, they screw up, and often they don’t really care about it because it’s never a priority. They do the right thing when they can, of course, it’s sort of in a job description here, but if the choice is between saving the world and saving one of them - family comes first, because why would you put work above family?
Somehow the closest thing supernatural has to a typical hero character is Castiel, but that’s another discussion, because his priorities are very far from saving the world too
It just occurred to me that Endgame did the same thing Voltron did to Klance with Stucky and I am so mad
People behind the scenes have been paying attention to social media, as evidenced in Voltron and Star Wars and Supernatural and so on. So I am willing to bet the people behind Endgame also knew about Stucky from some form of social media
And increasingly we have seen same sex ships being baited at and maybe broken up in some way in movies and TV shows: Destiel with Castile dying, Voltron with Lance and Keith rarely being on screen together and then Lance devoting himself to Allura for his entire life, Poe and Finn just being baited heavily in the last scene but never actually getting together
And Endgame basically did this before people were calling out it. Everyone was so mad that Captain America got sent back but nobody makes the comparison to other same sex couples
From a character perspective, it was an idiotic move but writers have been making these idiotic characters to keep same sex couples apart
Bucky and Steve looked into each others eyes and then got seperated for the rest of their lives. The story ensured they could never be together. But that’s more than just character annihilation and robbing us of a good couple. It can also be read as queerbaiting
Like with Poe and Finn, they shared a significant look, like with Dean and Castile they got seperated by the plot itself, like with Keith and Lance there was a heteropairing which kept one of them apart and like with all of these same sex ships and many I have not mentioned there was enough in the plot and dialogue to make it very hard to portray their relationship as purely platonic
But all of this gets overlooked because most of the beats it utilises appeared after its release and the destruction of Steve and Peggy’s character arcs to make the straight ship work was more obvious and completely unforgivable. Yet the subtle queerbaiting and annihilation of the possibility of stucky is also unforgivable. We need to consider how stucky was torn apart as much as we should consider the fact that it was torn apart
you know, as much as I enjoy those script leaks, it just further proves that they knew exactly what they were doing. but instead of owning up to that they called us crazy, they said we were interpreting things into something that clearly was not there.
but it was the entire time, it was there but they called us crazy.
This makes sense.
As I see it, Sam is polite and nice because it’s expected of him, and Dean and Cas are kind but not always polite because they do everything from the heart.
So if anyone makes Cas and Dean uncomfortable or says something offensive they won’t pretend to be nice, but Sam probably would.
godstiel is so much funnier when you remember chuck was watching like the whole time and he just let cas call himself god. just for a drama of it all!
THAT IT’S BEEN THREE FUCKING MONTHS SINCE 15x19 AND I’M ONLY JUST FINDING OUT ABOUT THE “dean, i’m hurt, can you let me in?” SCENE???
I FUCKING WATCHED IT LIVE,, HOW DID I MISS THAT????
YOU’RE GOING TO SIT HERE AND TELL ME, THAT THE LAST TIME WE HEAR CASTIEL’S VOICE ISN’T ACTUALLY HIS LOVE CONFESSION AND BEAUTIFUL GOODBYE, BUT ACTUALLY LUCIFER USING CAS TO TRICK DEAN??? i’m gonna throw myself off a bridge, why are we not talking about this more
