A happy 6 years to fnaf 1
It’s so crazy that 6 years have passed since the first game came out. I have so many great memories of this series.
Happy 6th Anniversary FNAF!!!!!!
Holy shit two days in a row of finished art pieces? Who even am I
All jokes aside, Happy 6th anniversary to FNAF! (Even though its like 11pm where I am, cut me some slack, this took me awhile-)
I could probably write an entire paragraph about how much this franchise means to me and how much its actually changed my life, no joke, but i’ll save you guys the emotional drabble
But I do wanna say that i’ve been a fan since it first came out, and I’m not going anywhere. Even if I don’t really post much of it at all, I still immensely enjoy the series and I hope that scott finds success in any other project he makes once fnaf eventually ends (If he does even move to another one lmao, he’s probably set for life)
Additionally, it’s not cringe to still like FNAF. you can be proud to enjoy it publicly, and anyone that gives you shit for liking it in 2020 is objectively wrong <3
Happy 6th birthday fnaf! :D 🎂🧁🎉

Oh boy, oh boy. Before even clicking this video, I know what most dog people, including myself, were thinking. “Oh no. Oh no.” Why? Because Chica is a double-coated dog and many groomers are adamantly against shaving them, many for very good reasons. I’m seeing a lot of misinformation on both sides of the debate and thought I’d clear some things up as someone who has done a LOT of previous research into this/is actively in pet grooming forums.
Seen above: Healthy double-coated dog shakes it’s fur. Notice the distinct shine and fluff.
First things first: A double coated dog has two parts to it’s fur. The guard coat and the undercoat. The guard coat is the thinner layer of shiny, reflective hairs on the outermost layer of the dog’s fur. This layer reflects instead of absorbs, this preventing dogs from taking on too much direct heat. It is important to note: When your dog sheds, you dog is NOT shedding the guard coat. Guard coats are thinner and take longer to grow. The undercoat is an insulator. This is often the fluffy hair you see your furry friend leaving on the couch, floors, etc. Common misconception: The undercoat insulates cool air and keeps the cool air trapped in. This is untrue. The undercoat keeps heat trapped in. Cool air cannot be trapped in, the body will warm to counteract it. This is a very important layer that has a far shorter growth phase than the guard hairs. This is also the hair that stands in as extra protection against sunburn, should the guard hairs fail. Cutting ANY dog with a slow undercoat growth down to the skin is a bad idea because of this. Common Misconception: Cutting down all the undercoat is the best and only way to cool your double-coated dog down. You gotta cut the guard hairs to get to it, so it doesn’t matter! Incorrect. Most groomers recommend using a comb every day or every other day, gently digging into the undercoat and removing excess until the undercoat has been tamed but the guard hairs are still on top and intact. This allows the dog to have its shiny, reflective hair AND decreased heat insulation for what sun DOES get in the coat. Mark and Ethan, if they wanted to cut down the heat, should have simply repeated what they did for the Santa episode: Repeated combing. Chica will actually expierence more heat simply because her undercoat will be able to access more sun and trap more, even though she can now get more wind and therefore might FEEL more free. Common Misconception: Once you cut the dog’s guard hairs, you’ve ruined the dogs coat!!! It won’t grow back!!! Alarmist and mostly incorrect. Yes, I said it: Chica is fine. Dogs get shaved for surgery and make a full coat recovery after completing their cycle and being combed meticulously. So yeah, mostly incorrect. I say mostly because you probably HAVE seen dogs where the hair doesn’t grow back correctly. Here’s the thing: Cutting your dogs hair often exposes health issues that went hidden. (DO NOT CUT THE DOGS HAIR TO SEE IF IT IT ILL; GET IT CHECKED) A dog has a 4 step cycle to replenishing it’s fur. This cycle is based on the dog’s DNA and health. Cutting fur can not and will not distort DNA. That’s basic biology. The fur in a young and healthy dog (like Chica, who is 5 with no chronic ailments) will continue its cycle after disruption. Nutrition aids this cycle. However, a fact remains: A dog’s body will always prioritize healing ailments over regrowing a coat. A dog with an illness will often not regrow their coat evenly or fully. This is why cutting a double coated dog is DEFINITELY not recommended for dogs older than 10. They are more likely to have ailments and generally take longer to grow hair because their bodies simply aren’t replenishing like they used to, sadly :(. With Chica’s diet, supplement intake, pigmentation, combing, and active lifestyle, she should regrow her guard fur in some months. The problem is that the undercoat will often grow out of control when not continuously combed out of the way, thus preventing the guard hairs from growing back in a timely manner. For a dog like Chica that sheds and is combed, she should be able to have guard hairs by winter, thus allowing her to have a fully replenished coat by next spring! Once summer is over, the undercoat they THANKFULLY didn’t shear all down should help with and cool temps she needs to dodge. Misconception: Oh cool! So I should go ahead and shave my dog?! No!!! Thinning the undercoat with combing is the most healthy thing to do!!! It’s what they should’ve done!!! Plus, Chica is young!!!
