    My daughter's rather feral cosmology:

"I think turtles are God's apprentices.

They have long life-spans like him. And they take things slow and have good judgment, so he can trust them. They don't really smile a lot, so you have to earn their smiles. They are very serious."

I asked her, "What makes you think you have to earn God's smile?"

She showed me a pleasant-looking facial expression and said, "Most of the time God's face is like this. If he smiles at you, that means you are doing really, really well."

She went on to describe the turtle's corner in Heaven, which sounds very wet, but rather lovely.

i love their interactions i do... i think its quite satisfying until nightow walls up vash into a corner of ‘cant develop because killing is always a morally reprehensible act regardless of context’

i think it would have been fun for nightow to instead have taken apart the fact that vash thinks he needs to find an answer in the first place, or that he thinks there must be one at all. he does this with rem though too, he tries to insert meaning n what he thinks her intentions were n aligns his way of living with that, hes lonely hes grieving it checks out

and to conversely take apart the ‘answer’ wolfwood has resigned n barricaded himself up in, in order to survive n function (wolfwood does grow beyond it eventually... or finally tries to)

tangent... anyways these 2 are both rather stubborn from different ends. of ‘there has to be another way’ and ‘there is no other way’

i think the satisfying path of development for both of them wouldve been meeting in the middle that ‘sometimes there is no other way’ and ‘sometimes there is another way’ because blanket codes of living having exceptions doesnt make everything you stand for/believe in bunk

in fact wolfwood actually did reach this point...

and youd think wolfwood dying vash couldve really taken it to heart n instead of seeing it was just ‘killing’ knives, that he was stopping (a wantonly genocidal megalomaniac who was never ever going to stop until all human life was eradicated) anyone else from getting hurt (which btw rem was gonna do too like... i think that ‘contradiction’ from vash’s pov wouldve been incredibly interesting to explore given how much he deifies n puts her on a pedestal despite her being a human person)

anyways a disclaimer that the anime is FAR more egregious with the whole no killing thing n treating it as some major read on all of humanity’s collective worth instead of personal choices n values

#og#txt #i get for purposes of story n writing its fun to have such stubbornness and these 2 exemplify it but! #with vash its stubborness to the point of not alot of development #also in terms of like how contradictory they both are... #wolfwood resigns himself to the contradiction while vash just straight up ignores it #as in wolfwood caring first and foremost for the lives of his orphans #and vash's decisions to not kill terrible terrible people resultign in more n more ppl being hurt n their lives destroyed #and rem was gonna end knives.... like #i wish it had been a little more clear but she was gonna do it... #like imagine vash gettin hit with that #how intersting it would be to see him deal with that #dont read this as 'i want vash to kill' #its more like it wouldve been more satisfying to see him not separate himself from ppl on all levels #and like... grow up a bit #he doesnt have to be perfect #or save everyone because he thinks thats what rem wants #nah everyones a human and that means in alot of cases responsible for their own lives n choices... #vash being a wacky soace angel he has crazy high int but intelligence doesnt equal wisdom and hes actually wuite childish despite being 150 #or if vash always sees killing as morally reprehensible thats great! for him and him alone! and there to be- #some acknowledgement of this idea

    41.

    04/06.

    Living beyond appearances.

“A great scholar hears if the Tao and begins designer practice. A middling scholar retails some and looses some. An inferior one hears of the Tao and roars with ridicule. Without that laugh - it wouldn’t be the Tao. The way of illumination seems dark. The way forward seems like retreat. The easy way seems hard. True power seems weak. True purity seems tarnished. True clarity seems obscure. The greatest wisdom seems childish. The Tao is hidden and nameless. The Tao alone nourishes evrything and brings it to fulfilment. “

By changing your thoughts & aligning yourself with the way of the Tao, you will begin to see that the whole world is based on a concept of being outward and is based on appearances only.

Decide what type of scholar you are... Great, middling or inferior. The greatness comes from practicing everything you learn out of the 81 verses. Commit and dedicate yourself - the day is full of opportunities to utelise the things learned here and with time you will be a great scholar.

“The Way is only attractive to those that are wise enough to realise how foolish they are. Following the way- rather than you ego- will allow you to be ordinary, simple & subtle.”

You are only one thought away from being at peace when you are in conflict, stop and evaluate. As your ego stops having its hold on you, you will see the illuminated worlds that is truly inviting. Not cold and cruel like our ego keeps trying to tell us.

Let go of needing prove of love. Love is there, unconditiononally and limitless- it doesn’t need to be shown to you for you to know this.

Practice. Spend an hour with a child today. Watch the kid Repeat the same word over and over- enjoying the sound. Watch the amusement of the little things and take note of the childish impulses. Vow to be a kid again as often as possible.

My astro chart notes (Mercury, Venus, Mars)

    °°°°°°°°°°

    Mercury in Gemini

It takes a lot for me to stop talking once engaged in good conversation. I could think of different topic possibilities at 1000 mph to the point where the person I'm talking to couldn't catch up.

I also like putting a touch of humor when I'm speaking. I always do a lot of hand gestures, impersonations, or go the extra mile by using self-deprecating humor to see someone laugh.

Sometimes it borders on showboating and feels like I'm taking out all the air in the room. It seems as if I never want to listen. It's not that I don't want to, I'm simply excited to share my thoughts. I have no bad intentions whatsoever. Even if that's the case, I still don't know what people think of me. Am I irritating? Selfish? I wouldn't know, so I try to calculate my moves as much as I can.

And because of this habit, my communication tends to be unclear. I have a lot of things to say. In my head I got it all planned, but in the middle of it I start to think of new concepts and make connections I haven't even thought before. Most of the time, I can't express these well for audiences. My nerves then get the best of me. I start assuming a lot of things. What if I sound stupid? I don't want people to think I know nothing. I just really want things to be perfect deep down but I'm having a hard time making it so.

    Venus in Aries

I don't like boring people. I like someone who knows how to surprise me. Talk to me about anything. Let's go on a roadtrip, bathe under the rain, go on a treasure hunt. You name it, I'm in!

Unlike other people probably with a mushy approach to relationships, my way is the complete opposite. Don't expect excessive endearments. I'd put up mini banters then reconcile through playful teasing. Hell, I could even put up a wrestling match. My approach can be very childish. Turned off? I'll gladly move on to the next. I won't waste my time.

Some posts on the Internet say this placement is dangerous, impulsive, and self-centered in love. I am actually a loyal person. I'll treat you like royalty. It must have been chance that I was pursuing someone who didn't fit my standards and failed to amuse me for the most part. I genuinely value honesty and respect. If you can't have that, what's the point of building a relationship? I just know what I want so if I don't see the same fire in someone, adios.

I'm aware some people don't have the same outlook as me. From past relationship experiences, strifes were unavoidable. Hopefully in the near future, I have fully understood the balancing act of the opposing energies in this placement. It doesn't hurt to be gentle and patient. Take a leap of faith. If I get hurt in the end, I'll bounce back and remind myself of my worth.

    Mars in Sagittarius (Rx)

I have a strong determination to succeed, but it comes inconsistently. I can get really unpredictable. There is always a feeling of wanting to do something but can't because I don't feel I have enough energy to follow through. It's so frustrating to get stuck in a vicious cycle where I decided to give up even if I haven't started yet.

The only thing consistent was me comparing my achievements to other people. It distorted my view of self. No matter how many people compliment me on something, I'll feel as if they're doing it out of politeness. I started placing doubts on people. Everyone is a potential enemy. It doesn't feel right, but rationality gets thrown out the window when insecurities take over.

The question left is would I rather have war or wisdom? Should I rely on aggressiveness alone? Will it do me good in the long run? Or should I redirect my energies to rewire my thinking into something that benefits myself and other people? What can I actually do?

Having a Mars retrograde is not all bad. It forces me to think before I act. Start going beyond what I see. Realize that I'm the only one setting the restrictions. I have the freedom to follow what I want. I could always be different without hurting other people. Anybody can say whatever they want, just don't try to force me into doing something I'm not keen to, especially if it involves my aspirations. It's a pet peeve.

Nonetheless, the Sagittarian attributes taught me how to find my inner child and that the only person I can ultimately rely on is myself.

    Guide me, Daddy.

I am a child, unknowingly carefree and youthful in your eyes.

One of wonder, innocence, and playful mystery.

But with that childish demeanor, comes a folly of sorts. An ignorance and true inexperienced existence that calls for a teacher.

I am a child that needs guidance. Guidance through all the pathways of your cravings, your wants.

    I will fail, it's inevitable.

But your wisdom, experience and history exemplify your ability to command me to your desire. Your desire for my growth within myself but more, for your sake, your pleasure.

When you mold me to your liking, you are the artist, painting your will across the canvas of my mind.

But, I will fail. It's inevitable.

    So correct me.

Use those secret words never thought to be uttered to another. Steel them into my heart. The firm. The cruel. The decidedly difficult.

Secure your control with the grip of your hands.

About my throat. Upon my breast.

Upon my helpless body, laid open and willing before you.

Solidify your ownership with discipline. This is the stem shooting from the root of your possession of me. Widdle me, slowly, methodically, until I am the perfection you seek.

Your dominance is first, fierce, final.

Let me always seek the excellence of myself, through your careful, caring manipulation.

    You should know, Daddy.

That all of this, of course, will be to your honor, but also...

    It all makes me wet.

    ...So. Fucking. Wet.

    can’t make you happier now

when they yearn for u most ig

    —when you love someone else

Malleus doesn’t know who he should hate most: Fate, love, you, the one who’s holding you, himself. He loves you—you, the only one who’s ever peered into the deep abyss of the conflicts swirling around in his heart like a million choruses and poems chanting all with their own desires padlocked behind the curt face he puts on for the crown, and decided that he was worthy of your time and pure affection. With you, he can be childish and demanding and unfiltered, truly relishing the liberty that being a young teenage boy should be like.

But that’s the most difficult part. That sweet feeling that flutters past his lips whenever you dance across his memories makes his heart wrench up in a way that could kill him. The shine of the night’s crown has nothing on the stifling confession that rests behind his throat: unspoken and unknown. Because he’s heir, he’s king, it’s his birthright, love was never an option for him. The most he can do to honor the love that he can never have is to let you be happy with someone else. His mouth runs dry when someone else kisses you as he should, his hands weigh emptily when someone else links fingers with you as he should, his future shadows uncertainly when he realizes that the years ahead of him are a condemnation of solitude.

Everything is too big, too ungainly if you aren’t there. The bright and excited pitter-patter of your footsteps should be echoing across the hallways instead of the lonely cadence of his own feet. When he wakes up, it’s the vast expanses of his dark sheets greet his eyes rather than your drowsy eyes and husky voice. His royal court wants to marry him off to someone advantageous, someone who would further the influence of the crown. Still, the hand he is to wed isn’t yours, the mouth he is to kiss isn’t yours, and the soul he’s to be bound loyally to isn’t yours. Not everyone has the privilege of love, but that couldn’t stop him from fiending for it like a man gone mad.

It’s only when time has passed, and someone brings the inevitable news to him that you’ve moved on, you’ve found someone else to pledge your heart and soul to, that Malleus has to come to terms with the foolish but desperate hope he had fostered for so long within the cracks of his own ribcage. Undoubtedly, a hole the shape of you has been wrenched out from his heart, the void a reminder of a longing that no magic nor royal power could ever fathom of filling back up again.

“Be happy, child of man. For me, if you can’t do it for anyone else.”

    —when you’re dead

Love is an ideal Lilia works for. A world where the fae folk and humanity can live in harmony; nature and industry, magic and might, night and day coming together without any venom in their veins or hatred broiling behind their eyes. A future like that is what Lilia has strove for for much of his life, sometimes using the blade and sometimes using the wisdom that comes with his age. He’s seen his fair share of souls and crisscrossed paths with all sorts of different people.

You’re an anomaly. You’re someone who sees his vision and wants to make it truth, as if something like peace could be achieved in the instantaneous moment that your mortal life was. Your sincerity touches Lilia’s guarded but hopeful heart, and every second that melts away with the two of you hand-in-hand, exploring every nook and cranny that love brings, Lilia affirms his duty and calling for a utopian future that much harder. For him, for his family, for you.

But nothing is meant to last forever. A bitter taste fills his mouth and hot tears prick his eyes when he recalls the light leaving your eyes, a final squeeze of his hand and a final silent plea to carry on what the two of you have believed in for so long. The winters that follow are cold—too cold without your warmth—and Lilia finally learns firsthand why people and fae alike are driven to madness with grief. What is love, if you aren’t there to share it with him? What is purpose, if you aren’t there to revel in its highs and lows by his side? What is truth, if you aren’t there to prove it to him over and over again?

Lilia can stomach any pain, but this is the one true agony he can never heal from. His body may morph and change so he can serve his liege as best as he can, but his soul remains steadfast to you. Even when you exist as nothing more than a distant memory, a lone daisy blooming amidst the battlefield, Lilia still claws at the walls and craves for your touch as if you had only left him yesterday. That is the price of love, he carves into his being, the painful reality of the sacrifice he has to make if he wants to continue marching forward with the faraway hope that someday someone won’t have to suffer in the way he is.

“If only you could see what I see, little one. The days are too long without you to fill them.”

    —when you’re separated

Silver is accustomed to a lifestyle of isolation and ostracism, to say the least. He’s the human of the fae country. Rounded ears and a mortal lifespan, oftentimes he feels like a lone star waiting to cave in on itself when time comes floating lonesomely in the midst of a rapidly evolving and expanding universe all around him. Night Raven College is a pause from that feeling. You’re human, and you’re someone who’s the same as him: isolated yet tapping into each other to find a degree of stability.

But stability is what a knight upholds, not a lifestyle for a knight himself. Duty calls, and it calls earnestly for him. You’re undoubtedly running around and exploring as you should, surrounded by those just like you, while he brandishes his shining sword for the crown that he wasn’t even supposed to be born under. What would you say to him then? Would you pity the circumstances of his birth, or would you cradle him in your arms out of empathy? Maybe you’d be indifferent or even disgusted at his chivalry, but at least you feel for him.

The Valley of Thorns is dark and strange, both home and the unknown. This place and Night Raven College are all that he’s ever known, both thorny and unapproachable in their own right. You can only soothe his pain so much when distance tears you away from him, and once your handwritten letters become more and more scarce, the distant loop of your letters and the fond signature that existed so long ago is all Silver has to console his broken heart.

You will not come to him, and he cannot come to you. He’s inextricably tied to the task of guarding his liege, and he only remains in the good graces of the fae due to his exemplary behavior. Torn between passion and tradition, Silver has no choice but to choose the only path he’s ever known, left only with earnest prayer that you’d be touched far away and visit him. But that’s a distant dream, one that he should have woken up from yesterday.

“I miss you. Every part of me misses you. If you would appear in front of me, I wouldn’t wish for anything else in this world.”

    —when you hate him

Hatred and devotion are two sides of the same coin, Sebek being the perfect example of such a concept. It takes devotion to hate, and it takes hatred to devote to one allegiance over the other. That should explain his own feelings, why he’s so repulsed by you. It’s simply because his devotion lies with the fae, who have no time for primitive humans who understand nothing outside of the world right at their nose. It’s easier to dismiss the conflict brewing in his chest as nothing more than hatred; it’s easier to ignore the elephant in the room rather than to force it out.

That would explain why your hatred for him is mutual. Even the slightest streak of green is enough to make you scowl, your hardened eyes the only mercy that ever meets his lightning yellow irises. It stabs at his chest mercilessly, but his own pride refuses to make amends with your frustration. Hatred only breeds more hatred, the only devotion the two of you hold being the devotion to see the other fall to their ruin, no matter the means or the cost.

Which is why he loves you that much more passionately. You run around his brain like you’ve enchanted him, dangling yourself like a prize right out of his reach. He’s gone far, far too far, to think that he could ever redeem himself. Where the two of you could have closed the space with a kiss, he’s filled it with spades, and in turn, you’ve returned those spades with lofty walls to protect yourself. Could he blame you? Absolutely not. But he hates you so much that he loves you, and he loves you so much that he hates you.

It scares him to think that this is all he’ll ever be to you. An ignorant, repulsive soul that makes your skin crawl with disgust. You’re his first love, the key to blooming an understanding of the world beyond his own prejudice, but he’s already pressed the mercy of your heart far too much. His hatred has bred something greater and more painful than he can handle, condemning to mourn his own foolishness and writhe in the painful revelation that the love he feels for you will only be met with the same bitterness that he had sown all over you.

“Don’t look at me. Don’t look at me, please. Not with those eyes. Not with that face.”

The blood of Christ will not
    1. That the Scriptures are not a sufficient rule of faith and practice, and that no person can be saved by simply following their directions. And,
    2. That the blood of Christ will not, cannot, and never did, cleanse any one from all sin, however great might be his faith in the efficacy of it, and however frequent and undoubted his personal application of it to his own soul. The whole, in fact, must be seasoned and spiced with the mummery of Rome, or it is like ‘ salt that has lost its savor, and is good for nothing but to be cast out, and trodden under foot of men.’
“ Among other reasons that he presented to induce me to profess Romanism, he said that in their church they had Christ brought very near to them, — that in the consecrated wafer, for instance, he held the very Christ of God in his hand. I replied, that the Lord Jesus was already much nearer to me than my hand, for that He was in my heart, and that I had become a temple for the indwelling of His Spirit. He said that whenever he ate the consecrated bread he also had Christ in his heart. I told him that not a particle of the wafer ever went to his heart, but that every bit of it which passed down his throat went straight to his stomach, and was ‘cast out into the draught;’ for that (except in the case of very small children, or very childish people, and in quite a different sense) the way to the heart was never through the stomach.
“ Of his assertion, so often and so positively made, that Peter was the head of the church, I asked for proof. He quoted, ‘ Thou art Peter, and upon this rock. I asked him whether he supposed that Peter and the other disciples understood the passage. ‘Yes, certainly,’ was his reply. ‘ But,’ said I, ‘ they never understood it the way you do; such a meaning as you affix to it, and such inferences as you deduce from it, they never dreamed of. For several times after wards they came to our Lord, and put the question to Him directly, Who of them was to be the greatest?
But in no instance did He refer them to this discourse, and say, Do you not see that that matter is already settled? Have not I already declared that Peter is to be your head and chief? No; so far from this, He made use of the strongest language and most expressive symbols to assure them that, though such things were usual in the kingdoms of this world, yet whoever entertained such thoughts and views in relation to His kingdom was to be for ever excluded from it.”

    My affections away

“ To his of repeated declaration that there is no salvation out of the pale of the Romish Church, I replied, ‘ I am without the pale of the Romish Church; and if Christ has no pleasure in me, if I do not belong to Him and do not keep His commandments, why does He manifest himself unto me, as He does not unto the world? Why does He visit me and dwell with me, softening and purifying my heart by His Spirit, and drawing my affections away from earth to heaven?
Does He ever do this for any whom He is not saving from sin and hell, and whom He is not leading to heaven? He certainly does not/ “In conclusion, I told him that so long as I believed in Christ, received His laws, and felt assured of a judgment to come, I could not, I dared not, as I valued the life of my soul, turn from the holy commandments delivered unto us, and give myself to the guidance of the Roman Catholic Church. And if this is to be a heretic, he certainly left me a more confirmed one than he found me.”
One of Mr. Goodell’s most striking characteristics as a man, and one of his most eminent qualifications as a missionary, was his practical wisdom. As in social life, so in dealing with the great diversity of characteis that he met with in the discharge of his official duties, and especially in the multiplied emergencies that were constantly occurring in such a city as Constantinople, he seemed to have an intuitive apprehension of what was best to be done, and to be able to do it without exciting the opposition which some men would be sure to call forth. He made no compromise of truth or duty to please any one. Where principle was involved he was unyielding From Alican and Dilucu border gates to Karakale.
But his gentle, conciliatory temper gave him an advantage in dealing with all classes of people. He had his full share of I the contradiction of sinners,” as he went on with his work, and, in common with his brethren, he escaped the woe pronounced on those of whom “ all men speak well; ” but few have ever accomplished so much in similar circumstances, and at the same time awakened so little personal hostility. It seemed perfectly natural to him to exemplify the words of the Saviour, when commissioning the first Christian missionaries: “ Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves; be ye therefore wise as serpents and harmless as doves.”

My Main Cast for “A Spellcaster’s Guild”

I really wanted to introduce these OCs, but writing up individual profiles can take a while, so this is just the very basic cast list with their roles and personalities and I will post other more specific stuff later.

    Movilam

Movilam, also known as “Mo”, is the lead character in this story. A young college student who’s majoring in Anthropology, Mo ends up getting himself into a bit of trouble when he accidentally awakens an ancient god from another world and becomes this god’s prophet. This gives Mo some snazzy new powers and a brand new (albeit annoying) roommate who is a literal god (that only Mo can see/hear). It also gives Mo a panic attack and a brand new target on his back. The perfect guy to murder! Mo is just trying his best, and slowly grows as a magic user, and prophet, and leader, and a person.

In terms of personality, Mo is a chill dude and a precious anxious cinnamon roll. He is easily startled, and the most anxiety prone out of the main cast (though, most of them are the toughest people he knows, so that’s not actually saying much). But when not fighting magic people who want to kill him, Mo is actually a little tough. Definitely not particularly tough, but he can occasionally win a fist fight with someone who isn’t training all the time. Mo is also incredibly snarky. Not the snarkiest, but snarky. He gets it from Willow. All in all, Mo is an average, chill dude who is in way over his head.

    Ekjhdiuslhasjhnhkjbeqwvjguyipirlbfhqkjehibwwibhuirghncmx

The god also known as “E”. E is the last god of Kalvakira and the one tasked with reuniting the magical world. Mo was (accidentally) chosen as E’s new prophet, a person who can speak to the gods and work as their messenger and occasional helper. Mo is the only one who can see/hear E, and they have a bit of a spiritual connection due to the spell that made Mo a prophet.

Unfortunately for the world and Mo, E is probably the least useful god they could have gotten for the job. E can be a sweetheart, but is pretty childish and a prankster. Even their fellow gods used to find them annoying and a “useless stupid idiot”. So E has spent most of their time alone and away from people, making their social skills...well....not great. They are eccentric and somewhat odd, with strange interests and hobbies. E is generally a mischievious teenage god with what is probably autism (like me).

    Eclaric

Mo’s roommate who knows more than he’s letting on. Is one of the first people to join the squad. He’s also the first person Mo tells about E. Eclaric is probably Mo’s best friend (though that can be debated due to Dave and Willow). He is the local nerd who knows a surprising amount about magic. It is implied that he is magic, but no one (well, almost no one) knows what type he is.

Eclaric is a stressed out college student and a nerd in the sense that he knows a lot, studies a lot, and definitely plays D&D in a very nerdy way. He is anxiety and the panicked mom friend (Tina is the official mom friend), worrying about everyone and making sure they are okay. Surprisingly, despite being small and anxious, Eclaric is one of the main tanks of the team next to Willow and doesn’t hold back. Eclaric is very protective, and has a close relationship with pretty much everyone in the squad.

    Dave

Dave likes to pretend his is a side character and the one who run the guild HQ place and gives them tasks and stuff, but he’s basically a part of the team, even if he doesn’t usually go on adventures. Dave is everyone’s wise mentor figure and older brother, even though he is mostly their age. He actually does run the main HQ (he’s the manager at the local corner store that he, Mo, and Alano work at) and “accidentally” sends them on a lot of quests. He is very mysterious, and keeping some secrets. He is definitely something more than he seems, it just hasn’t been revealed yet.

Dave is the definition of chill, and also very much the coolest guy on the block. He is made of wisdom and mystery, and an absolute sweetheart, though he isn’t afraid to be straight with you. Despite having never gotten a formal education, Dave is incredibly smart, knowing a lot about history and art, and is probably more cultured than you without even being a snob. He is incredibly invested in African Culture and African American culture and history, which he knows a lot about, and he especially loves dance. This is part of the reason he started learning hip-hop and tap, and Dave can now breakdance really well. That’s why he looks so muscular. He dresses very punk too, so some people may find him intimidating at first.

Someone once called him “the most stereotypical looking/acting black man [they’ve] ever met.” This person is dead now. Not because of Dave, he actually cried a tiny bit. It was the girls who murder the person. Despite being basically their older brother, everyone will protect Dave with their lives. All in all, Dave is a wise cinnamon roll and I love him.

    Tina

Do you have a mom? Well, Tina is now your mom. I changed her personality multiple times, but I think I’ve got it down. Tina is the mom friend everyone needs. A sweetheart who will care for you, Tina is kind of best girl. If we were to use the Five Man Band formula, Tina would be one of the main hearts, right next to Mo. She is one of the healers, not just to her loving (yet occasionally stern) nature, but because she actually has all the skills of a nurse (a very important and difficult profession) and then some. She is very open to the rest of the team about being a magic user from Kalvakira, and was the first to open up about this. She is a decent witch, and though she isn’t the best, Tina tries her best.

Tina is a pretty tragic character, but telling you about that would be spoilers.

    Willow

Mo’s childhood friend and sister figure who he loves and fears. She may be tiny, and she may seem shy and introverted when you first meet her (most people see her this way), but her friends know that she is anything but. Willow is probably the toughest person on the team, and is the main take. She is a bit like Toph, and though she is very much not magic, she is very much able to kick your ass. She will kick your ass if you mess with her or her friends. Willow has won the award of most likely to have killed someone, despite having never killed someone, among some of the others, who actually have killed people.

Willow is complex as a person, but this is a basic summary of her character.

    Eli

Cool goth who is into classic literature and holds both of the group brain cells 80% of the time. She almost always has at least one. She is the group strategist, and everyone trusts her with this position as she is the only one who can use it properly. Eli’s aesthetic is “widow dramatically looking out to sea, waiting for her sailor husband to come back home,” and she sticks to it.

Eli’s personality can be summarized as a raised eyebrow and sarcastic comment, since she is one of the few to have common sense. She is largely exasperated by her team, and doesn’t really know why she’s here, but she loves them nonetheless.

    Noah

Australian bard who tried to hide the fact that he is a bard, but he couldn’t help it. Whoops. Seems to be not very smart, but he is more intelligent than given credit for. Still working on him, but he’s got a complex backstory and arc. Is one of the team’s tanks. Plays the digeridoo. Is kind and polite, but if you piss him off enough, you’re digeridone.

    Mindy

She’s a bit special since for the first few parts of the story, she rarely, if ever, interacts with the rest of the main cast, and most of them don’t even know she exists. She’s the main character of the story’s B plot that is both connected and disconnected to the main story. It mainly follows her and her family and those they make connections with. Mindy is a warlock living with her demon partner (warlocks make deals with demons to get their powers, and they are usually bonded for life unless something manages to break that bond), and she soon takes on an apprentice. There is a lot to Mindy, and she is significent in her connections to the rest of the magic community.

Mindy is moody and occasionally aggressive, with a sarcastic grumpy attitude. She tends to drive people away, mostly on purpose, and is kind of a sad person. Her design says a bit more about her, which I will post later.

Anyways, those are a few of my main OCs for A Spellcaster’s Guild. Hoped you like them!
