I will be sharing the process once the novel is released. It will be available in paperback and ebook. Leave a comment and mention if you have your own upcoming publications. It’s great to share and get the…

Another thing my parents did right when we were growing up is that they didn't lie to us.

So we never got Santa or the Tooth Fairy or any of that shit, but we still got presents at Christmas and money when we lost a tooth. We weren't missing out on anything. We were never told children were dropped off by a stork. We were born in a neat 2-year stepladder, so it would have been pretty stupid to try to pull that off when we saw my mother being pregnant, which doesn't stop some parents, apparently. They actually bought us a book that was specifically made to illustrate how babies are made to children. I knew about sperm and eggs and stuff before I hit the first grade.

Their open-knowledge policy only went bad when they converted to evangelicalism and decided not telling us anything was the way to go which led to a whole host of other problems. And sure, I was a little bit arrogant as a kid because I thought (rightfully, in this case) that I knew of truths that other children did not, but otherwise I think I would have generally suffered a lot more under the absolutely no-knowledge policy of their evangelical phase if I didn't already have a lot of knowledge from their earlier open-knowledge policy.

#this coming from the guy who thought he was dying when he got his first period #bc that was not in the kiddie book #probably in installment 2 it wasnt something id asked about before the evangelical phase #i did once pull the beard off a mall santa in an attempt to free my fellow children from the opression of the lies theyd been told #or so was my 6 year old logic #but generally i think it was really good to know things #if/when i have kids i will definitely hold the open knowledge policy #am i thinking about kids and childhood and how i would raise them bc im going insane about turning 26? #maybe who's asking?

Place cards, drawn by Beatrix Potter (1866-1943)

Melford Hall, Long Melford, Suffolk, was the home of Beatrix Potter's (1866-1943) cousin Ethel Hyde-Parker. Beatrix visited many times with her entourage of pet animals as a break from London. She liked to try her tales out on the young children there to see their reactions. This dinner card is part of a set of 15 produced by Beatrix for Melford Hall and was used by Ethel Hyde-Parker’s daughter, Stephanie. Names of guests could be inserted into the diagonal slots. [V&A]

    || Did I buy a ‘Sticker Book’ with special, laminated pages so I can place stickers inside and collect them there (and thanks to the pages being slippery, being able to pull them off again in case I wanna use them for something)? Just so that I can put all my amazing Heisenberg stickers inside that came with the purchase of that Heisenberg zine?

    Yes, yes I did.

Is the cover of said ‘Sticker Book’ covered in cartoon Llamas in shades of baby blue and pink, and says ‘My Sticker Album’ in big bold letters, because it’s designed to be for children?

    Yes, yes it is.

Am I mad about having a bunch of Heisenberg stickers inside a Llama-covered Sticker Book?

... Not at all. Not even the slightest.

#ooc #[I'm actually beyond amused and love this stupid book already] #[sure I could keep the stickers on the sheets but I dunno where to put them and I am afraid to lose them so...] #[I like the idea of putting them all together.] #[...even if Heisenberg now has to live inside a children's Sticker Book with Llama print all over LOL]

Set of 3 nursery rhyme characters

    Another new listing Enjoy

This set of 3 nursery rhyme characters I remember when I was young. Jack and Jill went up the hill was an adorable rhyme as was Heyy Diddle Diddle the cat with the fiddle. Now, thats cute. And what about little boy blue? I found these vintage characters and thought they would be perfect to hang in a baby’s nursery or better yet great for the creative type and use them in any…

do others also wish that a boy and a girl who are friends when they're small kids should remain friends till the end of the book series and not in a relationship with each other as it is usually seen in books or is it only me

#i always do this #every single time #anything which starts from a children's thing and goes up to YA as the series progresses #i'm always like please remain friends #i want to see people being friends without dating each other #and then in the end i end up seeing them dating #and i am quite disappointed #people can be friends without dating #but it's almost never shown in media #i feel sorry about it #maybe it's self-projecting #but yeah i do feel that way #books

Do you think being called a kittypet is like being called a muggle for a house cat. They're there like "I'm not sure what this means but it feels like you're calling me a slur."

#warrior cats #also the ''warrior blood'' thing is a bit- #we love blood purity rhetoric in our children's books we do #anyway sorry for the hp reference i just can't think of another fictional slur lol

Is It Important to Read Fiction Books For Children?

Daily readers know that reading makes them happy and that they appreciate losing themselves in a good novel. We don't really need a reason to pick up Fiction Books, do we? However, if you're looking for reasons to like reading or simply want to find ways to spread the word about how important it is to our overall well-being, we've compiled a list of facts that you'll find interesting.

Why Is Reading Fiction Book Necessary?

    Reading Helps You Relax

Life in the modern world is stressful. Walking, listening to music, or playing games may not be as effective at reducing stress as reading. When people read an intriguing book from Art Supplies Dubai, their imagination is actively engaged, which distracts them from their daily stressors (at least for a little while).

Create a fan base and keep them coming back for more

If you sell books online, you may give a captive audience a lot more. If your visitors have arrived at your website in quest of information on your book, you may help them in a number of ways without them having to leave. You can produce higher-priced things like secure Fiction Books or courses that include Best Fiction Books, Elmer's Glue if you sell directly on your website.

There is no limit to capacity

Your retail bookstore has a finite amount of space to store and display specific book titles, which may limit your consumers' choices.

    Availability in every country

The advent of Internet buying has made it much easier to access items from all over the world, and Children Books are no exception.

    Variety is preferable

Physical bookshops are generally limited in what they can stock due to space and budget constraints; however, an internet bookstore is not. Office Supplies Abu Dhabi often works with a variety of vendors, allowing them to offer a wider assortment of books than a traditional retail store without having to build up a large, costly inventory.

Search engines like Google can find both your store and your books when you start an online bookshop. Children Games allows you to offer your products not only to your local customers but also to people from all across the country and even the world.

By selling straight from your website, you can provide a really on-brand experience for your book. You have more flexibility over the design of the pages that surround your book's landing page, as well as the positioning of your Fiction Books.

Made a reading bingo card for myself for the next year (2022), including some stuff that I commonly read mixed with things I don't normally read. I think it'll be interesting to see what I come up with. :P

#I can already knock out 'childrens lit' #since I read 'the bad beginning' #but I haven't really started much else yet this year #... I'm currently reading a folklore book tho #just not sure if it fits the bingo card #Max reads things
