when i first got into cats (2019 and 1998) it was kinda daunting in the sense that i was like “oh gosh how am i gonna tell all these cats apart”. back when 1998 rumple, demeter and bomba all looked the same to me. but now i know. never underestimate the human brain’s bang up job at pattern recognition
a gorb, diameter's 1.7 cm (vertically) and 2 cm (horizontally)
church election or whatever this week and one of the big questions is whether priests should be able to (continue to) refuse to marry same sex couples. and like personal reflection while it is shit that they’re allowed to discriminate i would not want to get married by a priest who think being gay is wrong
Birthday gift I did for my best friend’s daughter who had her birthday last month.
Today’s #sktchy face: Tara #drawingfaces #MuseumBySktchy #MyMuseum #CopicMarkers
I love the inspiration photo (which can be found on the Museum by Sktchy app) for this portrait of Tara so much. I thought such a wonderful face deserved the Copic treatment so I spent some time in my Copic marker comfort zone, knowing that I’d probably get the best results there. And I’m so happy with the finished portrait.

Roger Eno and Brian Eno, 'Mixing Colours' CD (Deutsche Grammofon)
Thursday, September 9, 2021, 8:11pm (full listen)
I think I remember reading some not-so-good reviews of this album when it came out, but I might be confusing it with a recent BE solo album. At any rate, I could see why one might consider this disc to be a little lightweight, as both brothers have much more impactful - and very similar - releases on their own solo discographies, but it's still quite good to these ears. These two are doing what they have been doing for a long time, and it's exactly the kind of thing - a kind of updated take on Satie, perhaps? - I like; will be listened to at least a few more times.
couple of my queens in gold
this episode of riverdale actually felt like the show at it's height again and after that i don't know how to go back to the trash we've been watching lately
This is NOT a tutorial, step by step, nor comprehensive thing about anatomy when arting. This is a collection of observations how my brain have boiled down doodling bodies and make them enough human shaped to be passable when making many many humans in a comic. All jotted down spur of the moment, no double hecking actual bodies, late evening when asked HOW DO U DRAW THE ANATOMY SO GOOD! (Half the answer is bah just fake it, knees are just ridiculous and can we really be sure armpits actually exist hm? If you actually know what to look for a lot of my anatomy is absolutely omglol compared to realism. The other half, though, is blood sweat tears and hours it takes so many hours to get there, gotta learn the hard way what you can fake and not ^^;;;)
Take what feels useful to incorporate into your art where you at right now, gain new perspective, or just, you know, go completely bonkers over the stuff I just don’t get right and then sit down and find satisfaction in properly defining what’s right for YOU :3
here's a random doodle of riyo i found in one of my old sketchbooks
