I will be buying alcohol inks and the paper used with them. They’re so fun to use.
Today’s art class effort. Alcohol inks are so fun to use
‘The Unravelling’ 2020 Atypical Digital Photography derived from an inking plate during photo transfer printmaking at Red Hot Press in Southampton UK.
Occasionally, once framed, an abstract composition will dictate to its artist Which Way Up it should actually go. Such is the case with ‘Carapace’ (Left) & 'Once Plucked’ (Left). Both are Giclée print on Hanhemühle Fine Art Pearl 285gsm paper, 24 x 16.6 inches.
A fun challenge!

My final piece for 2018 rounded off the year high and strong. It represents my dreams and the possibilities of having been in another dimension when I sleep. It sounds weird, I know. But weird is cool, right? :)
I’m sure we’ve all had that dream experience before at some point in our lives. One time, I’ve dreamt of being in a “matrix-like” dream where I just “floated” or “fly” in that dimension as another being and entering into tunnels of vortexes to transport me elsewhere. It was weird.
This piece was also, rather ironically, based on a sketch I did months ago!
In the last few months, prior to 2019, a lot has been happening. I’ve debuted my artworks for the FIRST time at a local art exhibition. Made a live TV morning appearance talking about the exhibition and my work, and been featured in a number of blog posts online. It was a wonderful end of year 2018 and I couldn’t be more grateful!
There are lots planned for 2019. More whimsical and new-themed artworks on the horizon for this new year and a possible new website gallery featuring my work. I am looking forward to it all! :D
