@weaselcanon sent: “ i was so worried— i thought i’d lose you. ” cottage to llama (she miss her)
There was a pause in Llamity at hearing those words. A sharp halt that seized her limbs as a churning guilt once more began to twist in the pit of her stomach. It hadn’t been her intention to worry her girlfriend -- of course it hadn’t been -- but, it still left the witch with a looming sense of shame that she had kept Cottage waiting for something from her and only offered her silence in return.
It hadn’t been the witchling’s fault, yet Llama could still feel the weight of the blame she had placed upon her own shoulders. She should have done more, shouldn’t she? Had done something differently?
Gold eyes slowly, and finally, rose up to meet the warm amber gaze of her girlfriend, the tension in her shoulders and arms slowly fading as though she had been pulled out from some spell.
“I know... I’m so sorry, Cottage,” Llamity quietly spoke, arms finally wrapping tightly around the older girl’s shoulders. Or, at least as tightly as she could manage, her left arm still wrapped in bandages and various healing glyphs. “I missed you so much.”
