made something 2day!
Spending my evening unpicking because I confused large black square with ever-so-slightly smaller black square:
Actually I wasn’t expecting to see small black square at all, symbols on the key lied to me:
This section of the pattern is brown/green tree branches, so it took ages for me to twig 🙃 that I’d gone wrong
Over the course of about four years, I've been working on a Sailor Pallas amigurumi. Today, I've finally finished up about 99% of it. All I need is to embroider a mouth. Now if only I could find where I put the right yarn.
Teaching my partner how to felt lmao
The former Clarence Hotel (c.1903). There's been a pub on this site since 1858. Always an odd looking one in the short-lived "Arts & Crafts" style. Traded under many names down the years, including the Carter's Home Hotel, United States Hotel, White House Hotel and the Omnibus Hotel. Operated as a successful comedy club for a decade or more, but it lost its liquor licence a few years ago now, and has been abandoned since. All the adjacent buildings were recently demolished, and the old boozer is now surrounded on all sides by construction sites for the boom in new apartment developments that'll go to six storey's, easy. What used to be population pressure is now pure real estate speculation. Petersham.

Licca-chan with her new comfy sweater 💖
Her two sleeves are different colors because of the way the yarn is dyed and I think it's cute
I didn't change to a smaller needle size when I knit up the ribbing here and I like how it looks. Though I'll do things a bit differently on the next sweater.
I was able to improve the appearance of the collar ribbing by pulling it tight with a bit of yarn right at the top, but I'm still not thrilled with how it looks. Fortunately it's not too much of a problem because it's covered by Licca's hair.
And here I drew a line to highlight where I changed needles and the difference that made in the knit fabric. It annoys me, but I won't notice it from more than a couple feet away so I can live with the imperfections. Now I really want to sew some cute clothes for her to wear with this sweater because she's been hanging out in this same dress since I bought her and she's due for an outfit change.
not me winding down with theme hunting and customizing a whole-ass desktop view no one’s ever gonna look at bc everyone’s on mobile or uses the dash view to check out blogs
It’s so fluffy!!!!!!
