The part in Les Misérables (the book) I hate the most is that VICTOR HUGO LITERALLY KILLS 5 PEOPLE IN ONE SINGLUAR SENTENCE LIKE-

Everyone will die. Every choice between birth and death affects eternity.
—I met my granddaughters’ handsome, young friend, when he was in his early twenties. Rebellious, skeptical— he wanted to ‘live’ —making all the wrong choices. Rules of his Amish upbringing were too confining.
—We often talked about Jesus. With him saying, ‘if Jesus was like you say He is, I could love Him. But I just can’t join church, (Amish equivalent of salvation), and lead my life with the hypocrisy Jesus represents.’
—Instead, Aaron consistently chose drugs as his god.
Romans 6:23NIV “For the wages of sin is death…” Sin has a price. Every physical body pays sin’s price. Yesterday, Aaron’s god claimed his life. He suffered the “wages of sin.” A thirty-three year old body stolen forever by meth. His family had spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on drug rehabs. Friends had ‘holed him up’ at their place trying to help him beat his god. But white-knuckles always buckled, as he bowed in submission repeatedly. My heart is saddened at the waste of such a sweet, young, vibrant life.
My pastor told me, ‘When a person rejects Jesus’ way, they participate in the activities of death— smoking, drugs, etc. Actively agreeing to destroy their own body for satan.’
Before Christ I smoked, never considering I was serving death. After Christ, snookered by the lie, I ‘exercised my freedom’ in Christ. Freedom was bondage as I chose death for my body. That’s a special kind of stupid to fall.
Aaron’s wasn’t a single instance of loss of life to the god of drugs. Daily the drug god claims lives of multiplied thousands of beloved family members.
Do you have someone special serving another god? Sexual perversion? Drugs? Alcohol? Gambling? Get a name change by wrestling like Jacob. Genesis 32:22-30 Tells the story of Jacob wrestling with the angel of God. V24NLT, “…Jacob all alone… and a man came and wrestled with him until the dawn began to break…” V26NLT ”…Jacob said, “I will not let you go unless you bless me.”
Our three children used drugs. I’m old school, believing even spiritually— training our children was my job. When they became tangled up with drugs, I begged God to forgive me for not raising them correctly. Infinite hours were spent praying, fasting, decreeing God’s promises over our children. Like Jacob, I was wrestling with God. They’re alive because Yahweh was merciful to me. He broke the chains of sin binding them. Several of their friends are dead from drug usage. Today, I’m wrestling with Yahweh for my grandchildren. Using— “…as for Me, this is My covenant with them,” says the LORD: “My Spirit that is upon you, and My words that I have put in your mouth, shall not depart out of your mouth, or out of the mouth of your offspring, or out of the mouth of your children’s offspring,” says the LORD, “from this time forth and forevermore” Isaiah 59:21ESV.
Have you been training your family for death or fun? Like our text states, nothing but death is guaranteed in this life. Sin’s wages will take the bodies, but where will our families’ souls spend eternity? Romans 6:23NIV “…but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Training family to serve and love Jesus is our job— example living, loving, praying and fasting for them; reminding them of His love and sacrifice; not yielding to the world. Wrestling with God to bring family safely through judgment day to eternity is hard work. Will you do it? It’s your choice. You choose.
PRAYER: Father God, there are millions more who will be lost to other gods. Help us to be not let go of you, in Jesus’ name I pray.

it was thursday evening when you died.
it didn’t hurt, or so i’m told, but i’m not you, so i wouldn’t know. it doesn’t really matter now, does it?
i visited your grave a few weeks later and looked up at the sky but i didn’t pray to God because i didn’t think you’d want that. i tried speaking to the ground but i just started seeing your body rotting away under there and i couldn’t breathe easy with that, either.
instead i look at old photos and sometimes throw your old shirts out over my bed like they’re tapestries i’m weaving. together, they paint a strange picture of you, and i can pretend like you’re at the store and i’m just doing some ironing before you come over.
i’d always thought you wanted to be burned in death, so that your body could fly freely over the mountains and visit someplace new. i guess i was wrong, because now you’re six feet under in a decomposing wooden box. i was wrong about a lot of things. i was wrong about you.
i’m just kicking up dust and living with old ghosts, now. i speak to you even when you’re not there. i visit your grave in my dreams because i hate going there in real life. i miss the serenity of summer but i’m scared of leaving the sweet numbness of winter behind. i’m sorry i couldn’t do more. i look up at the stars sometimes and i like to think i see you there, silently resenting me from a million miles away. i hate myself and blame it on you.

c.1498-99, in much the same way as does Jacques-Louis David‟s
portrayal of the Death of Marat, 1793: the ‘shock’ is certainly fuelled by the
invocation of the ‘sacred’. Benetton often use images which are regarded as sacred,
to a particular community (which, being an Italian company, most often targets the
Catholic community). Indeed, to what extent could the shock value of the Kirby
image be attributed to his Christ-like appearance? It is a pieta image saturated with
a disease which, within Western culture, has been regarded as a predominantly gay
disease. It is quite conceivable that, for many Catholics faithful to current Papal
policies, this is a sacrilegious image, a sacred image permeated with the excrement
of sexually perversity.

The night before Joe Biden’s Inauguration
What a fucking joke. Who in their right god damn mind okayed this at the WB/DCAU? This is not a real movie. It is literally footage from another of their films, Batman: Under the Red Hood, but condensed and narrated by Bruce as he sits in a diner retelling the story in his own words with bits of footage from the other movie spliced together. They don’t reveal who he’s talking to, spoilers its fucking Clark Kent, and if you didn’t figure that out by the five-minute mark, oh well. This entire thing is the weirdest damn bait and switch I’ve ever seen, because Bruce retells the whole damn running time of Under the Red Hood in like 20 minutes, and you’re left with three miserable DCAU shorts featuring the likes of Sergeant Rock, and the Phantom Stranger, both with ridiculously bad animation.
The only saving grace of this entire dumpster fire is the fourth short. It’s a genuine, and actually decent story regarding Death, as created by Neil Gaiman in his Sandman saga. But I’m literally going to tell you to find a way to only see that part of this mess which is a literal backhanded slap to DCAU fans. I can’t believe this exists. Under the Red Hood was actually a pretty decent movie, but it lacks both Hamil and Conroy as the voices of Joker and Batman, but does feature, Neil Patrick Harris, as Nightwing and the angel hating Dean from Supernatural as the Red Hood.
So I give the Death short a 7/10 but a 1/10 for the rest of the nonsense that makes up whatever stupid marketing ploy this was.
