Dev Patel Becomes Scammer Syndrome | Movie
Dev Patel suffers from fraudster syndrome “very often”. Gawain, his character in the “Knight of the Greens,” because he believes that the story of King Arthur’s nephew resembles his own journey as an actor, including many moments of self-suspicion. A 31-year-old actor who was equated with. He states: “It’s a medieval film, but I have many similarities to the career journey of a young actor. “The…

So I finally watched The Green Knight.
On the one hand: as a creepy, suspenseful dark fantasy about the perils of magic, dangerous quests, and honour in death, it was very cool. It was beautifully shot, it was mind-bendingly weird, it was freaky, it was great fun.
On the other: as an adaptation of the source material, it bears very little resemblance to the poem in terms of themes and even some fairly basic plot points. It’s an incredibly loose reimagining and if you’re sensitive to source material being pulled about in adaptations, it will probably not sit well with you.
Dev Patel however was magnificent and a perfect Gawain.
y’all i watched the green knight and your movie rec-ing powers are being revoked
100 years passed since the Council was established. Peace reigned, and things were going well up until 2020. It was New Years Day that things began to go awry. The Alpha of the werewolf pack, was found headless outside of his family home. It could have been an isolated incident, but when the witches found the Supreme, drained of all blood and lifeless outside of a cemetery panic started to rise. In addition, her grimoire had gone missing. Still, the Council decided that these could be unrelated, and the dust settled. Everyone began to return to the comfort they had felt before, though the investigations of these tragedies were still ongoing. Things remained that way until the Fourth of July, where a string of seraphs were found dead and barely recognizable. These murders, all occurring on holidays, could no longer be treated as a coincidence. Still, the seraphs didn’t have a clue who had done this or what their motives might be. It was on Halloween that the current advisor for the vampires, was murdered. Now tensions are high, and the Council is being run by a group of new leaders. The system is falling into chaos, and it’s only a matter of time until history repeats itself.

The Green Knight [trailer]
A fantasy re-telling of the medieval story of Sir Gawain and the Green Knight.
A fascinating watch. But it does require some patience to stay with this mythical and often dream-like story. But thankfully it gets more rewarding towards the end.
Finding out afterwards that David Lowery worked on the editing of Upstream Color is now less surprising.
The Green Knight looked and also, thanks to the voice of Ralph Ineson, sounded very impressive.
Side note, the characters rarely acted in a way that would make it believable that they were carrying a very heavy axe.
When the hell will I be able to watch The Green Knight for free?
That is the only movie I want to watch rn.
gawain and the green knight review
Sir Gawain the absolute madlad
Dev had put together a lunch for you in the staff break room, which he definitely was not allowed inside but probably used his fame card to get into. You were surprised to see him there, thinking that he wasn’t supposed to be back in town until next week - but here he was, grinning widely, hair askew from the wind outside. You paused in the doorway, your eyes wide, finding it hard to believe that he was actually there. “Y/n,” Dev said, opening his arms wide. “I brought your favorite!”
“I - I can’t believe you’re real,” You said, running into his arms. He laughed as you started to touch his face, his hair, all to make sure this wasn’t a hallucination.
“I got in this morning,” He said, trying to avoid getting one of your fingers in his eye. “And I couldn’t wait until you get off work.”
“That’s so sweet,” You said, finally hugging him once you were sure that he was actually in front of you. “You didn’t have to bring me lunch either, I’m more than happy with just you.”
“Yeah, well,” He said, holding you close. “I also didn’t want to eat alone.”
