wait, listen, and obey His instructions 👌🏼

    Scripture of the Day

    Genesis 7-9 (NKJV)

Won’t be able to type here the whole 3 chapters, but you can read them using your Bible or via https://www.biblegateway.com/ 😊

Genesis 7 - The Great Flood

God gave Noah specific instructions and Noah followed all of them.

Noah and his family waited patiently on the Lord and his instruction/command.

Noah and his family obeyed God. They trusted Him though they do not know exactly what will happen.

    Genesis 8:1-19 - Noah's Deliverance

The animals - raven and dove - know when and how they can live. So, when the earth was dried already, [the dove] didn't come back anymore.

Noah waited for God to command him to go out of the ark.

    Genesis 8:20-22; 9:1-17 - God's Covenant with Creation

After what happened, Noah decided to build an altar for God to worship Him.

Through Noah's offering, God made a promise that He will never cure the earth again because of man.

God blessed Noah and his family and commanded them to "Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth."

As a symbol of His covenant, not only to Noah and his family but even to the future generations. He made a rainbow in the cloud. It is a sign of covenant between Him and the Earth [all the flesh of the Earth, even all the animals].

Genesis 9:18-28 - Noah and His Sons

They obeyed God to "be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth".

Ham, Noah's youngest son, saw his father's naked body but instead of covering him up, he told his brothers (Shem and Japheth). So his 2 brothers were the one who covered their father up without looking.

Because of Ham's actions, he was cursed by his son, Canaan, being cursed as a slave of Shem and Japheth.

Genesis 7 - The Great Flood

God gives specific instructions because He knows better and as humans, we need help from Him.

They didn't make "panguna" on what to do, they waited on God's instruction.

Most of the time what we should just do is trust God, especially when we are lost, confused, frustrated, and do not know where we are headed. Just like what Noah and his family did.

    Genesis 8:1-19 - Noah's Deliverance

Part of following God's command is waiting on Him.

    Genesis 8:20-22; 9:1-17 - God's Covenant with Creation

Building an altar could be a symbol of respect and honor unto God who have spared them, Noah and his family, from the great flood.

And I think, through the burnt [clean] offerings, God smelt it and it is like a reset button as well to remember that He created every thing - the Earth, all kinds of animals, and man. Which resulted to God's covenant.

Genesis 9:18-28 - Noah and His Sons

Our decisions and actions could cause us harm just like what happened to Ham and his son, Canaan.

The Lord gives specific instruction, so we must actually listen and not ignore them.

Listen and obey what God has commanded you.

We should trust the Lord always.

We must wait on Him patiently and not lead our own way/life.

Be careful of our decisions and actions. We must think carefully always.

Lord God, thank you for Your Word today although I have like questions and clarifications, I know that I won't totally understand You and Your Word. But still thank you for showing me what happened before during the time of Noah.

Help me, Lord, to be like Noah in waiting patiently on You and being obedient in what You say.

May I never forget, O God, that You ALWAYS know better, what is best for me. Also, I pray that throughout my life and even to my future children, and their children, and so on and so forth, we will all continue to trust you every single time - ups and downs. And that we won't forget how you are and have been faithful.

I'll make sure, Lord, that You'll be passed down to generation to generation. To let more people know that you are real and alive! But I know that I cannot do it at my own strength BUT with Your help, Lord, and even my future husband as well.

I pray that my future husband will put You first always. Will be aligned in You, with Your will, and obey You, God. And with that, he and I can pass on together to our future generations about You, Lord.

    Thank You, Lord.

    In Your Name,

    Fin, Ninety-six / 01222022

    Ambassador Over The Situation

“It is the same with my word. I send it out, and it always produces fruit. It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it.” Isaiah 55:11NLT

One wise and good thing to do is revisit the words often which Holy Spirit quickens to your heart. What holds true for you in one season of life, doesn’t become invalid in another season. “God is not a man, that He should lie; neither the son of man, that He should repent; hath He said, and shall He not do it? or hath He spoken and shall He not make it good?” Numbers 23:19KJV. Bringing back promises from yesterday strengthens our faith for tomorrow. No one told me this truth, when I was younger. I thought I had to always find a new word. God showed me this.

During in my quiet time, God spoke into my heart……….. “Find My Word over the situation and tell the situation My Word. Make your thoughts bow to My Word. Make the situations bow to My Word. You can’t fix it. Quit carrying it and fix your thoughts and mind on Me and My Word as authority. Even those words I’ve given in the past”.....

For ‘word of faith’ people, this isn’t a new revelation. Because my nature is inquisitive, He caught my curiosity. Thus began my pursuit of, “which was spoken of the Lord,” Matthew 1:22KJV. It’s recorded fourteen times in the New Testament.

What about “God said” at creation? Thirteen little verses of “God said,” created the entire planet earth; formed man; gave him dominion over the planet; decided Adam needed Eve; set limits on good and evil bringing death for disobedience to eating the tree of knowledge. Another three times God spoke— cursed the serpent to crawling for eternity; opened the door for Jesus Christ’s coming; forced woman to suffer during childbirth; cursed man to a life of toil, (see Genesis 1-3).

Israelites chose to not hear God’s voice, (see Ex. 20:19). He respected their request. Instead, through prophets, He spoke to them, and to the heathen kings, Nebuchadnezzar and Belshazzar,. Daniel 4:25,NIV 5:26KJV “You will be driven away from people and will live with the wild animals” and “God hath numbered thy kingdom, and finished it.” An angel carried God’s words to Zacharius— giving him a son, John the Baptist— and to Mary, who accepted God’s Word through the angel, receiving her Son, Jesus Christ, who was born miraculously. What God speaks, even through angels happens, also.

Back to God’s Word spoken to my heart: He was giving me the authority to put His Words into my mouth. Those Words became as full of life, as if He were speaking them at that moment. How? I became His ambassador over the situation. Suited up in His armor, (Ephesians 6:10-16), I represented Him.

Then, I began to fight the enemy in my mind, 2Corinthians 10:5 “We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.” When worry attacked, I had to commandeer those thoughts back to being obedient to what God said.

What are you striving for? Is it monumentally huge? Way out and beyond your ability? Ask God for His gift of faith. Wash all the negativity out of your mind and mouth. Talk God talk. Say only what God says about your situation. Repeatedly speak to the situation— “God said” until it changes. God’s Words always accomplishes what it was sent to do. Can you do that? It’s your choice. You choose.

PRAYER: Almighty God, we repent for allowing negative garbage to flow from our lips. We ask You to help us say only what You say, in the name of Jesus Christ I pray.

Dionysus is often described as a dualistic god, which isn't inaccurate at all, but it doesn't feel like it fully captures the way he encompasses dualities to me.

They are the god of many faces and many names. We tend to think of dichotomies as "this or that" or as a balance perfectly between the two. Dionysus stands out because of how they not only encompass dualism, but how he blurs the very idea of dualities.

Madness and serenity. Frenzy and sleep. Intoxication and control. Violence and tenderness. Life and death. Cultivation and wildness. Human and Beast. Human and God. Male and Female. They don't go from one or the other as different facets, or stand in the perfect balance, but mix it all up into a riotous convoluted yet cohesively shifting spectrum.

To me Dionysus captures the paradox of coexisting opposites. He is the complex melding of ideas, the "yes but also no." He sees the lines between dualities and dances over it, kicking the lines into a blur. He is both and one or the other and he is none and he is all of these all at once. As wine is the process of rot and transformation and human science with natural processes that can make us relaxed or frenzied or dangerous or mad or introspective all depending on a million factors, Dionysus is a multitude. He is finding your truest self in a roleplay, the gradient between the mask one wears and the reality beneath.

All this to say I wrote all this then sat up going DIONYSUS IS OMBRE

    Demeter, the blackened one

How often I sing your praises

And more often I feel your love

The trees that blossom and the produce I see bloom

And most often, I am sure

    Others say such things too.

But dear mother Demeter, it is a different thing that I praise today

Invoked or not, you were with me

When after so long, it was revenge-

Against that terrible thing that had taken so much from me.

It was you who was with me then, fury-eyed Demeter

In my fear and sudden fright, it was you

Who made my blood lurch forward

And gave me strength of rage.

For Ares may know war, and Themis justice

But only you, Demeter of the razor sharpened grain, of withering winter loss

Only you have lost as I

And only you have beheld revenge for it

New Year, New Mercies (Day 12)

    This day’s reading- 1 Timothy 6 verses 11 through 16

God calls you to persevere by faith, and then, with powerful grace, He protects and keeps you.

It is a wonderfully encouraging name for the God you serve, yet it’s possible to let it pass through your eyes and into your brain without stopping to celebrate its glory. In Romans 15:5, Paul calls your Lord “the God of endurance.” This title really gets at the center of where your hope is to be found. Let me state it plainly: your hope is not to be found in your willingness and ability to endure, but in God’s unshakable, enduring commitment to never turn from His work of grace. Your hope is that you have been welcomed into communion with One who will endure no matter what.

Why is this so important to understand? Because your endurance will be spotty at best. There will be moments when you will forget who you are and live as a grace amnesiac. There will be times when you will get discouraged and for a while quit doing the good things God calls you to do. There will be moments, big and small, when you will willingly rebel. You may be thinking, “Not me.” But think with me— when you, as a Christian, say something nasty to another person, you don’t do it because you’re ignorant that it is wrong, but because at that point you don’t give a rip about what is wrong.

You see, perfect endurance demands just that, perfection, and since none of us is there yet, we must look outside ourselves for hope. Your hope of enduring is not to be found in your character or strength, but in your Lord’s. Because He will ever be faithful, you can bank on the fact that He will give you what you need to be faithful too. Your perseverance rests on Him, and He defines what endurance looks like! It is the grace of endurance granted to you by the God of endurance that provides you with everything you need to continue to be what He calls you to be and do what He calls you to do between this moment and the moment when you cross over to the other side. When difficulty exposes the weakness of your resolve and the limits of your strength, you do not have to panic, because He will endure even in those moments when you don’t feel able to do so yourself.

    - Paul David Tripp

    Reading for January 21st 1 Chronicles 18

Most of us have read the book of Psalms. David and other authors write incredible music and poetry that share their struggles, victories, and praises to God. David is the primary author of the book of Psalms, writing 73 of the 150. David’s Psalms are a blessing to us, even today, and show us why God considers David a man after His own heart. He was a worshiper, a worship leader, a musician, and songwriter. David’s gifts in that area are tremendous.

However, David was also a warrior. He was an excellent military commander, tactician, and fighter. We know about David’s victory over Goliath of Gath at a young age, but David’s military victories only began with that one fight. David would go on to lead the Isralite army to fight against the Philistines, Moabites, Ammonites, Arameans, Syrians (three times), the King of Maachah, the men of Tob, the King of Hamath, Edomites, and the Amalekites. No minor victories, for sure. All of them, however, were because God made David victorious.

Just like we all have our own failures, we also have our own victories. Those times when God fortified our character, helped us to speak or what was right in His eyes and ‘fight’ against the ‘enemy.’ In my life, my greatest enemies have been anger, anxiety, and an addiction. Though I was a part of those battles, it was God and the life-saving power of Jesus Christ who made me victorious. What has God made you victorious over?

    Hades Priesthood

Some questions I have been receiving a lot recently are why I'm on a priesthood path with Hades, how I decided priesthood would be the right path for me, and when I will fully call myself a priest.

I'll answer the third part of the question first- when will I be able to call myself a full out priest of Hades? The answer is not as simple as it first seems, though it is fairly straightforward.

My first issue is my age- Priesthood is not something to be taken lightly, nor is it a commitment you can easily get out of. I am still quite young, despite everything, and while I am sure of my path, I am also sure I still have a lot of "growing up" to do yet.

The second issue is finding resources to help inform my practice and what is expected of me. While Hades has specific expectations and things that He specifically asks for, I still want to know way more about what priesthood was like before, and how to shift some of those things into a more modern practice.

So- I will call myself a priest fully when Hades and I both feel I am old enough and informed enough. It is not a decision I take lightly, and I want to handle it with the care and respect it deserves.

Now, as to how I decided that priesthood would be right for me and why I'm so committed to it- that's a much less straightforward answer.

I have said many times how comforting it was to find Hades- it felt like coming home, like coming to the one place I was meant to be, like I had found the spot where I was supposed to stay.

It hasn't always been that same sort of warm comfort. No, at times it feels cold and foreign and like I'm completely out of my depth, just another child playing pretend and wanting to be special.

At times like that, when things are harder than they've ever been and I'm seeming to face a new challenge every other minute- that's when my faith has been shaken and tested and torn to shreds, just to be put right back together again becasue Hades has always been there for me, even if I didn't know it.

I have gone through a lot of things in my life. I have grown up much faster than most of the people around me, but through the majority of the bad, I have been able to lean on Hades and get the help that I needed to survive, even when I thought it was hopeless.

It is hard for me to pinpoint the exact moment I decided I would one day be a priest, or to explain every reason why I know it's the right path for me- but the easiest explanation is that Hades feels like home in a way that is impossible to explain, and I wouldn't trade that for the world.
