If I ran a kind of reader-lead DND campaign where its a choose your own adventure via strawpolls would anyone be interested?
All the chapters/sessions/bits or whatever would be written in second person and I would have a post where people could help form the type of person the MC is.
It would be based around an MC going on an adventure and encountering the hermits. Similar to how I did it in this post. I just wanna know if I should put in the effort of making kt a community thing rather than messing around with DND designs for the hermits in little ficlets.
Zoe is helping me play DnD.
Morana, from the day she was born, was taught to be an executioner.
The royalty who bought him from the slavers wanted someone who would be feared. They figured Goliaths with their size and intimidating appearance would fit the part. So they sent a servant out to buy an infant to be groomed into the role.
Once he was a toddler, he was trained to execute. Be unfeeling. Do not hesitate. Morana quickly learned and her competitive nature only made her strive to better the craft.
At 13 she officially became the kingdom’s executioner. Even at that age she towered over the citizens. Public executions became a part of his daily life. The look of fear, acceptance, despair, he became used to them…especially the look of hatred those he removed from the Material plane gave him.
She enjoyed her work though. She took pride in the fact that she was the only one talented enough to do what must be done. She never hesitated, never missed the sweet spot that would make a clean slice. He happily spent his days in his wing of the castle, coming out only to eat and do activities related to his purpose.
Morana was given a cottage outside the kingdom walls to live in whenever she was unneeded. And as the years went by, he spent more and more time in his cottage. The royalty and her reputation as their unwavering executioner had caused the number of crimes to decrease.
She’s now 26 and a bit bitter. Wasn’t he supposed to be the enforcer of the kingdom? Wasn’t he supposed to rid it of criminals? She rarely gets to do what she does best: execute. Chopping logs isn’t the same. So she, for once in her life, asked to leave the kingdom. He was unneeded, the royalty did not have to fear losing power and the crime rate was basically zero.
To his delight, they gave him permission to leave…given he return when they ask for him.
So she packed up and left, searching for another purpose to her life that she may be the absolute best in.
Catching up on old commissions since am now in a safe living environment! ♡
Twf you wanna info dump about your campaign but you CANT because your normal info dump receptical is one of you players and you ALSO cant scream into the void that is tunglr because HALF YOUR PLAYERS FOLLOW YOU AHHH
2nd Hag: You’re think you can escape me? After what you did to my sister?!
1st Hag: But you never liked her.
2nd Hag: Shut up! It’s the principle!
can’t you just ask for directions?
man, I love doing D&D commissions
Seraph (siren sorcerer): So, how did it go?
Billie (gnome ardent): It was shit, we didn’t get all the information we wanted and the food was terrible.
Seraph: You guys got food?
Thaddeus (khajiit paladin): Shut up, Billie.
Seraph: Did you find out how he escaped?
Una (genasi artificer): …Fuck.
So last night, our group was discussing which type of bender our characters would be
And then realised how difficult it is because not one character fits into one box.
So I’ve drawn my character, Silas, as an airbender then as a waterbender, because I cannot (for the life of me!) decide which one he’d fit in more, and I just wanted to draw him bending-
I think he would fit a waterbender better now that I’ve had time to think about it. He says he’d not one for community and family, and he does actively avoid growing attached to others, but… he does like being part of a community, and family (and love) is important. He’d never admit it though
Been working on improving/refining my style.
So here’s my Way of the Shadow Tabaxi Monk, Pepper!!
In dnd one time I used the same idea from shrek to pretend to be from HR and it worked
The next step is to play a campaign as shrek
This is Sir Manos Groplingshire. A dnd character for a Campaign I’m dming. LOVE this total dad character!!!
