Summary: Prime Minister Robert Sutherland is feeling pressured, and isn’t prepared to acquiesce to the repeated challenges from within his cabinet nor the wider circle of those around him. He resorts to drastic measures to ascertain who can be trusted, turning to an ‘old friend’ to help him separate the wheat from the chaff. Said friend promises to send in his best operative to assist the PM, the trouble is the operative finds out more than Robert necessarily wants to know, and all this just as all hell is breaking loose around him; people hurt, Britain in chao and multiple deaths push him into making some hard hitting decisions in order to safeguard himself, the country, and the people he cares about.

Belle decided she would give him an hour and if he hadn’t gone up to bed by then, she’d just come in early. Easy enough done. It was her job, after all, to make sure everything was spic and span, and ready for the Prime Minister’s day. There was plenty she could do to keep herself occupied during that hour; plenty of pieces of paper for her to peruse and analyse, to put together with what she already knew about the people close to and working for Sutherland.
All assuming she could get herself under control.
She had never before had an issue keeping her work and her feelings separate, but from the moment she’d walked in to Number 10, and laid eyes on Robert Sutherland, she knew she was in trouble, and silently cursed Neville for not warning her about his ‘ old friend that needed a favor. ’

Secret Love 2013 ( Korean Drama )
So this was without a doubt a very “meh” kind of book. It’s wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t great either. It had a ton of potential but in the end was a touch of a let down.
PLOT; Verity Boone has moved from Massachusetts to a little town in Pennsylvania to reunite with her father. Not only that but she is in high hopes of meeting her betrothed Nate McClure. Even though their letters show so much love; their actual meeting was not “love at first sight” after and awkward romantic walk through the cemetery Verity stumbles upon her mother’s grave. What repulsed her the most upon witnessing this was that the grave was inside a gold gilded cage, but why? This town certainly has a few ideas from witches to hidden gold. But where do the lines of fantasy and reality blur?
PROS: I will give the author credit that for her debut book this was very well written. There were small moments of creepy atmosphere and the mystery of the graves as well as the deaths behind it was extremely good. Even when the revelation of how it all happened came to a climax i was keeping my eyes on the book until it slowed down.
Verity herself is a fairly likable character. She’s kind and sweet but can also have her moments. When it comes to Time she has to learn that love can mean different things to different people. Whether it’s loud and bombastic or slow, quiet, yet full of passion and devotion.
Also when it was revealed who the villain was any normal book would’ve caught the bad guy and sent them to jail; or maybe karma would be paying them a lovely visit. This time however the villain was chased into the swamps and was never heard from again, kind of morbid the more you think about it.
CONS: The biggest problem was that there was a love triangle between her, Nate and the local doctor Hadley. At first it looked like maybe she would discover her real feelings were for the doctor and she would leave Nate seeing that he was a bit of a Mama’s boy and in it more for her land than for her. It REALLY looked like that and I was almost for it; that is until there was a plot twist coming from Hadley sidewhere she realized that she was just merely flirting with him rather than actual love.
I think a lot of reader can agree with me when I say love triangles are tiresome at times, but if they are written well they could work. This one just didn’t.
Not to mention that when picking this out I was under the impression that this would involve ghosts and maybe explore how superstition worked during the mid 1860′s and how it influenced American society. It kind of touch on it here and there but never fully explored it and I feel that that was a wasted oppritunity.
Also the pacing felt off in the story. The mystery behind the graves took so long that near the end I was beginning to wonder if it would ever be revealed. When it was I wasn’t very impressed.
This was OK book at best. I mean if you’re just starting into reading and want a romance mystery then I would recommend finding this at your local library. I rate this a 5/10.

Considering the wealth of poetic drama that has come down to us from the Elizabethan and Jacobean periods, it is surprising that so little of any value has been added since - James Fenton
