Atmospheric / Intelligent Drum and Bass mix 90’s - 1 hr - by Mani Rios
I had contact with this incredible sub-genre of Drum & Bass back in the 90s, in a car racing game. Since then I was fascinated by the style, which I believed to be a Liquid Drum & Bass (for lack of a better name).
Due to the scarcity of songs with this proposal, I did not believe that he would be treated as a subgenre, but that is because I did not have the correct basis to classify and I treated him wrongly as a Liquid D&B.
Wonderfully melodic and relaxing, Intelligent Drum & Bass, also called Artcore, or Dreamy is - as one of the appellations say - an invitation to the emotional journey and only now that I was running around the web looking for information about the scene of electronic music in Japan, is that I discovered an article talking about Dreamy and how it was not able to survive prejudice, I believe for the more root people Drum & Bass, for finding the sound very easy to digest.
But Dreamy fits in very well with that late afternoon jam, or while you’re doing something and need a relaxing, melodic sound. This playlist brings together some of the best in Dreamy, so open your mind and enjoy this playlist wherever you are.

Alice In Chains - Love, Hate, Love
Just found out today marks 18 years since Layne Staley’s death. Must be my subconscious that knows this and has me playing a lot of Alice In Chains around April (specifically the Facelift and Dirt albums) these past few years.
