sunghoon was all smiles walking into the dance studio after parting with you in front of the main building. hand in his pockets, he whistled a happy tune while stretching his legs and waiting for the other dancers.
"you're up here early." minho commented as he dropped his gym bag, chuckling after seeing sunghoon do his jumping jacks extra hard. "— and you're in a good mood too."
"who wouldn't be? the boy got to drive his little crush here." yeosang commented while he stood beside sunghoon so he could start his own stretching session meanwhile heeseung just mentally rolled his eyes at the happy disposition of the man who claimed to be his "rival."
after a few minutes of waiting, the rest of the boys eventually came and both groups took turns rehearsing and evaluating each other's routines for the sake of delivering a good performance for the event.
tch. he may be taller than me but i can, for sure, dance better.
after two hours or so of practice, mingi and jeongin were practically at the leaders' feet, rubbing their palms together and begging to be given a short break. so the group broke off with wooyoung leading most of the hybe boys to their own university's cafeteria while minho, han and the rest of the belift boys stayed.
"hello? delivery for heeseung!"
your head popped up from the door and you gave a polite bow to everyone in the room before heading to heeseung with your arms wide open. you could feeling him pushing you away but you continued to cling on the taller despite his whines of how smelly he probably was. spoiler: he's not. the man always smelled good.
after pulling away, you pulled a neatly wrapped lunchbox from your bag and presented it to him. "i felt bad for turning you down this morning. i was already in sunghoon's car so.. yeah. i made that together with jungwon. as an apology."
"princess, you don't need to apologize. but thank you."
minho swears he didn't mean to overhear your conversation. that doesn't stop him from listening more though. and upon hearing your words, he began to understand why both boys were acting the way they were during practice.
"yeah, so that's how yunho ended up spraining his own dic— y/n?"
you turned to the door and gave wooyoung a shy wave before looking at the unfamiliar faces behind him and-
fuck, why's sunghoon here— i didn't know they were sharing a single studio today.
sunghoon was convinced nothing could ruin his day more than the sight of you in between heeseung's legs and giggling with him– until wooyoung beckoned you to come over, that is.
you greeted everyone with a smile and sunghoon raised up his hand to wave at you, but instead of greeting him personally, you gave him a polite smile and returned to your spot with heeseung in tow.

synopsis: when sunoo and y/n were kids, sunoo confessed to y/n only to disappear the next day. now years later, all y/n wants to do is get through school as easy as possible but when sunoo unexpectedly comes back how easy can it be?
a/n: old friend is going to be over soon lol just a warning
after buying a boat of nachos for yourself and one for your ever hungry best friend, you bid a short goodbye to avon before making your way through the crowded area towards the destination you were asked to meet sunoo at. you weren't sure why he'd ask to meet you near the bathrooms of all places at this event, especially with the intention of eating food, but your gut was telling you he was definitely up to no good.
the live music playing from the band currently onstage pulsed loudly and vibrated the ground you walked on with the heavy bass. you weren't sure how anyone could enjoy such a loud environment, though you couldn't lie and say that the music was bad. it would've been even better if they weren't playing it so loudly; your ears had been ringing for the past half an hour and you were pretty tempted to go hide in your car for the remainder of the night.
finding an empty picnic bench, you sat the two boats of nachos down before seating yourself on one of the wooden benches. a small shiver ran down your spine as the chill in the air intensified with a small breeze. why was a music festival being held during the winter, anyways? wasn't that more like a summer event?
you'd been so wrapped up in your own thoughts that you'd failed to notice someone approaching your table until they cleared their throat awkwardly. your head snapped to your left where the sound had come from and your eyes traveled up the standing figure until they made contact with the person's face. you felt the very minute that your cheeks began to grow warm and your heart began to race in your chest.
"hey, mind if i sit here for a minute?" jay asked with a hint of a smile tugging at his lips.
"oh," you stuttered out nervously, "uh, sure. i mean, i don't mind if you sit."
his smile grew a fraction wider at your spluttered response before he slid on to the bench across from you. "why are you here all alone?" he asked, eyeing you curiously before his attention was drawn to the two orders of food placed in front of yourself. oh god, you hoped he didn't think they were both for you.
"sunoo asked me to meet him here for some reason," you chuckled breathily, then motioned to one of the nachos, "he asked me to bring him food."
"oh, he asked me to meet him here, too..." jay trailed off, glancing back up to meet your eyes once more with a knowing look as realization dawned on you at the same time. "he's not coming, is he?"
"probably not, i know when that conniving snake is planning something," you huffed, glancing around for any signs of sunoo but being met with a bunch of strange faces wandering around.
"why do you think he asked us to come here for?" jay asked, and you answered with a shrug.
"your guess is as good as mine."
a few beats of silence fell over the two of you as you looked anywhere but at each other. the truth was, you knew exactly why sunoo had set you both up to meet at this location but you didn't want to embarrass yourself by announcing it to jay. it was clear as day that he was trying to get you and jay alone together and as much as you wanted to smother him with hugs for being a great wingman, you also wanted to strangle him for being too great of a wingman. you had to make the most out of the efforts your best friend had gone through to pull this off, but how?
"so," you cleared your throat, effectively gaining jay's attention, "since sunoo's not coming, do you wanna eat his nachos?"
you nudged the paper boat closer to jay who's lips upturned into a faint smile once more as he happily dragged the food closer to himself. "sure, thanks. he stood us up, he deserves to starve."
a snicker managed to escape from your mouth in agreement before both of you began to dig in to your respective food boats. "thanks for inviting me," you spoke up again between bites, risking a glance up at jay.
"of course, i'm happy you made it. the girls have really missed having you around," he answered with a sincerity in his voice that had an involuntary smile growing on your lips. "sorry i haven't gotten the chance to really talk to you much since we've been here. are you having fun?"
you shrugged a little before nodding your head affirmatively. "yeah, i guess so. i mean, it's a little cold and loud, but it's a new experience so i don't really mind all that much."
jay raised his eyebrows slightly in surprise. "you've never been to a music festival before?" you shook your head and he scoffed in mock disbelief. "wow, you've really been missing out. the ones they have during the warmer seasons are much more enjoyable but heeseung found out about this one last minute and dragged us all here. maybe you can tag along with us during some of our summer trips, too."
your heart fluttered in your chest at the thought that jay, your crush of two years and ongoing, wanted you to start spending more time with him. well, with the group in actuality, but you'd count it as spending time with him, too. if it meant having to deal with the awkward tension between you and a select few of the people in this group just to hang out with jay, then so be it. with a shy smile and a nod of your head, you easily agreed to his extended offer. "sure, i'd love that."
you and jay continued to sit at that picnic table well after your food had been finished and talked about everything from the bands that were playing to the professors you couldn't stand at your shared university. at one point, you caught a quick glimpse of sunoo, jungwon, and riki lurking nearby and were promptly flashed aggressive thumbs-ups and wide smiles. you made a mental note to thank your best friend later, probably with another boat of nachos.
You take a stroll through the Hanakotoba flower shop - the place you love the most (maybe even more than the inside of your house). It’s been a place of comfort and a place of celebration. You reason that this is why you cherish this flower shop the most. In the corners of the flower filled place is constancy.
Flowers litter the space, its walls lined with orchids of numerous colors. It’s where you’ve spent the most time with yourself, where you went to when you failed your Chemistry test, and where you celebrated when you passed your midterm exams. Which is why you’re back, walking through the arrays of flowers with a small smile on your face.
You liked how the place seemed to be your secret. It had a fairly stray group of customers everyday, but not many people would willingly spend time sitting at the wooden tables. You liked it though, it was comfort in the ruckus of high school. Without truly realizing it, you had made it your home.
Heeseung was the first to notice your presence; Heeseung who had hurriedly informed Sunoo so he could tell Jungwon that you were back. By the time Jungwon emerges from the back, you’re already seated on your spot, but this time, you don’t do anything.
It’s a strange sight.
You’re usually surrounded with work when you visit the shop, and if you weren’t working, you would be reading a book. But today, you simply sat down. Jungwon clears his throat and straightens his shoulders before walking towards your direction. Your eyes glint with happiness the moment it meets his.
“You’re back.” His voice is warm, gentle.
“You can’t keep me away from this place.”
“I almost did when you refused to sleep a few days ago.”
The melodic sound of your laugh feels like the beginning of something wonderful. Yang Jungwon can tell you’re freer than usual, he knows it’s because you’re relieved to lose some weight of the responsibilities placed on you.
“What brings you here? I thought you’d be celebrating with friends.” You shake your head, explaining how they had surprised you the night before, and how they slept over and were planning to spend the whole day with you, but Jake had this family thing for lunch, and you only had one place in mind of where you wanted to go, so now you were here.
The parallel was amusing. This time, you had been the one rambling.
“But also, I kind of wanted to thank you. For that day, when, you know.” You mirror the actions of you crying, and laughter breaks out across the room. “You really made me believe I could do it, and that things will be okay in the end.”
“Don’t mention it, you deserve to be told that. By the way, congratulations! I wish I could’ve brought Maeumi with me, but I didn’t know you’d be visiting today. I know how much you love him.”
“It’s alright. Being with you is enough.” You don’t realize the weight of your words until it falls off your mouth, and your face grows incredibly red (Jungwon doesn’t notice, too busy trying to hide his own blush. He wonders if you could hear how loud his heart is beating right now).
You deflect by talking about the week prior, just like he had asked a few days ago through texts.
Jungwon supposes he should feel guilty at his unavailability to listen to you properly because of the way he’s absolutely consumed with the way your lips move, and how your eyes seemed to light up every time you talked about a moment you were proud of during your pitch presentation.
You’re saying something about the judges, he’s not sure. He makes sure to nod when needed, and smile when he thinks it’s appropriate (he mirrors your movements, syncing himself with you).
And while you’re talking about your week, Jungwon gets a bright idea. He types something quickly on his phone, and when it rings ten minutes later, Jungwon quietly excuses himself from the table, telling you he’ll be right back.
There Heeseung stood with a box containing two cupcakes. Jungwon thanks him, telling Heeseung he’ll pay him later before he’s making his way back to you. “I believe a proper congratulations is in order.”
“Jungwon… You didn’t have to.”
“I wanted to celebrate with you. Your friends got to last night, and well, I’m a friend too, right?” You sneak a glance at his face as his soft eyes skim the cupcakes, and he brings his gaze up to shoot you a warm smile. Yang Jungwon always smiles with his eyes. He’s someone whose eyes tell stories.
He sits right next to you, your thigh pressing up against his, and it makes your heart beat quickly in your chest to feel his body radiating out from his side. Yang Jungwon came to you in the form of a flower that had not bloomed yet. You never really noticed him, mind too cluttered with how busy you were. Yet, here he was, in all his glory, fully bloomed and more beautiful than he ever was. You question why you never saw him in this light before.
Hours are spent talking and eating the cupcakes he had bought for you. There's no plan, and there surely isn’t any race to run. Time is a distant memory, and you slowly start to realize your own feelings for the boy who owned the flower shop you loved the most.
[ JUNGWON’S NOONA 📬 ] “02z together forever, right?”
SYNOPSIS — the 02z, one of the most famous trios in all of belift high. they’re practically stuck to the hip and if together; create a bunch of chaos. so when jake starts tutoring people, park sunghoon gets bored and offers his best buds a bet. whoever wins the heart of jake’s classmate, yang y/n, gets a hundred bucks. it just also happens that y/n is jungwon’s sister, who absolutely despises them.
A/N. the girls ( -yeji ) already knew that y/n is leaving bc yuna & winter told them hence, why the chapter "mission get y/n & sunghoon together" was made BUT y/n & yeji didn't know that's why y/n told them the news in the gc, and the girls ( -yeji ) was just faking they're reaction LMAO, I hope you guys get it 😭💀
a/n: fighting for y/n 💔 p.s. the slap yuna gives sunoo is not serious.
you were never the biggest fan of parties, mostly because whenever your parents threw you a party, they would neglect you halfway through and go do their own thing. so you grew up resenting birthdays, christmases and special occasions. even the mention of the word "party" would sometimes reduce you to tears. but yuna was your best friend and despite the fact that you hated parties, you knew she would make things nice for you. she wouldn't let anyone ruin it.
yuna and sunoo made you stay in your room while they decorated the apartment, you could hear thuds and bangs as if they were dropping things all over the place, and you heard the odd "stop making so much bloody noise" from yuna. there was only so much scrolling through your favourite social media site that you could do before you had become bored and curiosity was getting the better of you.
it got super quiet after an hour,so you'd stuck on some cat videos on youtube. you'd started to drift off twenty minutes into a cat purring asmr video before your bedroom door swung open.
"knock knock. yes? oh, it's you. you can come in now," you grab the pillow out from under your back and launch it in yuna's direction.
"okay, little miss sarcastic bi—"
"hey, that's my bestie you're talking about," sunoo pokes her in the sides, causing her to yelp and try to slap him, which he avoids by ducking, "missed,"
okay, so maybe the party that yuna and sunoo had organised for you wasn't so bad, it's not as if there were any new people around, it was your own group; yuna, sunoo, ryujin, jake, jungwon and of course, taehyun, however he was fairly quiet this evening and it didn't go unnoticed.
you were standing in the kitchen observing him in the living room. he had his legs pressed together, and he was being extremely fidgety with his hands. he was never one for not sitting still and you sensed something was troubling him. you noticed how his right leg began to shake and he ran his fingers through his hair. his eyes met yours and the look shared between you two worried you. he smiled at you but this smile felt different.
as you were coming out of the bathroom, you could hear two voices coming from yuna's bedroom and you would have kept walking if it wasn't for a voice that was raised toward yuna.
"i'm warning you right now, you're not going to tell her anything, got it?"
"i won't because you will. i told you this last night, either you tell y/n or i do,"
"if you tell her, i swear to—"
"what are you going to do, taehyun? i'm not scared of you. it's not my fault you're a ch—"
"y/n! come here," jake spots you lurking in the hallway and ushers you toward him, "we have cake,"
but you can't move. your feet are still firmly attached to the floor, your mind in bits about what you've just heard going on between taehyun and yuna. what's this about him not telling you something? and why is he threatening yuna? you can see taehyun staring at you through the crack in the door, and you're about to walk in before he swings the door open, and pushes past you.
"wait, what's going on?" you shout after him, stopping him in his tracks, you turn to yuna, "are you okay? did he hurt you?" she shakes her head but comes to your side, standing next to you.
"taehyun, why were you threatening yuna? and what's this about you not telling me something?"
the room grows quiet, the volume of the music that was once playing has been turned down and everyone's eyes are now on taehyun. you hear him sigh and he turns to you.
"it's nothing, y/n, you don't need to worry about it,"
"bullshit, taehyun, tell her the truth. if you had any sense of decency left, you'd come clean,"
"shut up, yuna, you know nothing. you're making assumptions, keep your nose out of MY business,"
"when you're cheating on my best friend, it becomes MY business," she pulls her phone out of her pocket, bringing up the photo of taehyun and another girl, lips locked, his arms around her and shows it to him.
"taehyun, what the fuck?" jake chimes in, pushing the older boy to the side.
"y/n, it's not what it looks like,"
upon hearing yuna's confession regarding taehyun, you felt.. empty. your movements are slow as you can feel yourself becoming drained from what you've just heard. you take yuna's phone from her hands and study the picture. tears sting your eyes as you can definitely and 100% confirm that it is taehyun in the photo. it's crystal clear.
you stand motionless against the doorframe, only hearing the muffled voices of sunoo and jake arguing with taehyun and then kicking him out of the apartment.
what did you do?
what did you not do?
were you not enough?
did he get bored of you?
you find yourself crying into the arms of yuna as you collapse onto the floor, she pulls you close and kisses the top of your head, "y/n, i'm so sorry,"
you shake your head, and rub your face with your sleeves, the fabric now soaked from your tears, "it's okay. thank you for telling me,"
sniffling, you sit up straight, your back still against the doorframe. furious, you demand an answer.
SUMMARY ▸ four men suppressing their carnal instincts for thirty days doesn’t sound plausible, but it’s no nut november, so victory is crucial. yet, there’s only one obstacle keeping lee heeseung, park jongseong, sim jaeyun, and park sunghoon from their prize: you. game on, boys.
Y/N woke up with a splitting headache on the day before Christmas Eve, and she immediately regretted everything she had done the night before. Though it was a slow process, most of her memories flooded back. Snippets of the events that occurred pieced themselves together to form a perfect recreation, except, it wasn’t really perfect, was it?
After torturous nights of nightmares she had to subject herself to, the raw emotions she felt was real enough for her to cower in the room she was staying in for a good few days until Sunoo, the good boy that he was, managed to convince her to get out to get some fresh air. He never asked about her experience in the dream world, and never prodded her like an interrogator. All he did was take her hand and lead her in the right direction—all of which without her knowing, god bless him—and allowed her to heal in her own way, her own pace.
And all this, all of this, done just for her, even though he, too, had been struggling, because the young boy whom she had known all her life, would rather be a selfless person for the one he cared about.
She told him to make a name for himself, and then confess to her then—but all of that was just a way to push him out into the world to experience all that he didn’t before, in hopes that he would find something special to his heart and forget all about her.
She told him to make a name for himself, and then confess to her then—but all of that was just a way to push him out into the world to experience all that he didn’t before, in hopes that he would find something special to his heart and forget all about her.
It was fruitless, she realized, because this happened, and she supposed that he had been back prematurely. The name for himself he had made—the name was already vastly known throughout the orchestral world, and one that was widely known across the globe, something she was very proud about.
And yet, the feelings she held for her were still tightly wrapped around him. Maybe she should have put out the candle before the flames grew too big, even for her to put out.
Regardless, the night prior, she had dragged him out to drink because it was too much for her, and she needed an outlet, erase all that hindrance, erase all that stress, and erase all that trauma she had held so tightly onto, in hopes that she could start a new page all by herself. Sunoo wasn’t going to stay with her forever, and she needed to stand on her two feet, all without someone to lean on.
And yet, ironic as it was, she ended up being a lightweight and ended up getting drunk after only two glasses, and it had put a lot of burden and stress on the younger man who had courteously allowed her into his life, once more.
Maybe she hated herself for that, but the headache wasn’t earning any favours at this point.
Sunoo chose that moment to enter the room, with more room service than any luxurious hotel could afford, and sat beside her, all while offering her the best hangover medication she could ever ask for. Scratch that, it was just one of her favourite drinks, mostly. Although chocolate milk was far from the best hangover cure, she loved the stuff and it also promoted more liquids into her body and she did not want to die from dehydration just yet.
She was kidding, by the way.
With that, Y/N greedily took the cup with both hands and chugged it in one go. Sunoo, the ever-good boy, rubbed her back to help her to not choke, and also to help soothe any lingering negative emotions she might have had from the past few days.
The chocolate milk moustache didn’t help.
And Sunoo broke into laughter, because Y/N was just the cutest person in his eyes, after all.
“…what…” she asked, almost begrudgingly. The slightly accusatory glance she cast in his direction did not dampen his mood, it seemed.
“You have a milk moustache,” he responded, jovially, and fetched a piece of tissue from the nightstand before offering it to her.
Y/N, on the other hand, quickly took the tissue before covering her mouth area with the tissue, effectively erasing the (adorable) mistake.
With that out of the way, he leaned forward, and wrapped his arms around her, the previous smile on his face slowly dissipating.
“You scared me last night.”
The earlier mood, like the smile on Sunoo face, had also vanished, as a sense of dread slowly crawled back into her mind. Whether or not she was ready to face everything, whether or not she was ready to explain, and to have someone else carry the burden with her, she wasn’t sure, but with all that had happened, she felt like she owed him an explanation.
“Did I…do something again?” The words came out hesitantly, and Y/N, despite already having asked the question, wanted nothing more than to retract it in fear of hearing something she wasn’t quite ready for.
The memories of her dream were vague at best, and if he told her she was calling out to Jake yet again, she might just break.
“No,” Sunoo answered, “you were crying.”
A sense of relief, and then:
“It was a heart-wrenching sob,” he continued.
Something seemed to be tearing at her from the inside.
“I’ve never felt so hopeless, you were just sobbing so miserably but there was nothing I could do to alleviate that sadness you hold so close to your heart.”
Sunoo pulled back and stared into Y/N’s eyes.
“I just wanted to make your pain go away, somehow, but…”
Y/N shook her head, tears already forming at the corners of her eyes. She placed her hands on top of his and rested her forehead against his shoulder.
“I need to tell you what happened.”
Because the longer she put it off, she felt like it was going to eat her alive. And maybe those therapists were right, or rather, the words Sunoo said to her before were right, it would be better to share the burden than for her to carry it alone. She realized this now, and while it took her days of ramming her head against a metaphorical brick wall for her to understand that, she didn’t have to do that, now. She had Sunoo.
And it was better to let him in than to leave him out.
“About everything,” Y/N said, finally.
They said the truth would set you free, but in this case, it wasn’t freeing, but at least someone else knew what she was going through.
Time went by, events that had led up to Jake’s untimely demise had been explained with as much detail as possible, and despite taking half a day to cover everything that had happened up to this point, she had opened her heart to him. She expected him to be mad, frustrated, and furious.
And mad he got.
She didn’t think she had ever seen him so outraged. But as his anger died down, slowly but surely, he once again held her in his arms. She knew he did it for her, in hopes that it would calm her, and it did, but it didn’t really put out that tiny sense that he was going to do something stupid to compensate…
She just wanted it to be over.
Sunoo, who had still held her in his arms, rocking her slightly, hummed in response.
“When this is all over, let’s go somewhere together…”
Her voice was soft, and as time went on, a sense of relief started settling in. Maybe she would trade the world for him…
The evening quickly rolled by, and as the sun finally set on the night before Christmas Eve, Sunoo’s phone started ringing.

Note: Sorry for the late chapter, life happened, and had lots of work to do.
happy anniversary to my beloved enhypen! i'm so delighted to witness their first anniversary as an engene <33 and it's exactly been a month since i started my blog so happy monthsary to me!
"the eu, including countries such as china and brazil have soups(?) from 5 countries..." sunghoon made his entrance by narrating something together with eunji who was holding a tray of pastries.
"what are you saying?" eunji confusingly looked at sunghoon then chuckled. "pastries~" she beamed as she put down the tray with full of pastries on the table.
"i'm currently a freshmen college student in a culinary school somewhere." eunji muttered on her interview.
[eunji (20) - culinary student]
"and i'm the only girl here in this boarding house." she added.
"my mom also. how can you forget about the owner of this house? you want to get out of here? jungwon, who's at the back commented and the others chuckled.
"oh, sorry, my mistake. i meant the youngest girl here in this boarding house." eunji laughed shyly.
"you're a culinary student? did you baked all of this?" jungwon asked eunji about the pastries.
eunji was caught off guard and it took a moment for her to answer. "yeah..."
all of them laughed by how long she thought of her answer and it turns out to be just only a "yeah".
"someone made this, don't you?" sunghoon asked her with busan accent.
it took a moment again when eunji answered. "yeah..."
"there's also someone who keeps on breaking other's things. i'm so close on thinking if it's intended or not." jake complained then looked at eunji's direction. she looked away because she was guilty about jake's concern.
"someone's feeling guilty~" sunoo giggled.
"i'm not." eunji cutely shook her head.
"yeah, last week, she borrowed my sweater that i just bought recently and then later on, it already has a chocolate stain." sunghoon complained also.
"but the good thing is, she'll bought you a new one which is much prettier." jay chuckled.
they all agreed on that and it made eunji somehow relieved. she really doesn't intend to break their things, it's just that she's a clumsy and careless person.
"i was about to say that. that's why i don't get mad when eunji broke my stuffs because i know she'll buy me another one." heeseung laughed.
"eunji, you can keep on breaking my things." sunghoon joked that made eunji laugh and smack his arm.
"there's a person who loves to eat snacks on our room but always leave his trash behind. i think he wants jake and me to throw it out for him." eunji complained which is obviously about jay. the 02z except for sunghoon shares a room together.
"you're right! i'm quite pissed about that." jake commented.
"what are you going to do, jay hyung?" jungwon asked.
"the referee thinks it's not a foul." jay randomly said.
they all cracked up when eunji looked so done with jay.
"eunji noona always insists on watching a particular romance movie. the movie is really great but since we already watched it a lot of times, i got sick of it." jungwon said his concern.
"she has nothing to suggest but that only one movie." jay added.
"i don't like romance." jake shook his head.
"why are you always complaining about me? do you want me to expose something about the seven of you?" eunji pointed.
all of them paused and looked at eunji. sensing that eunji might really say something, they immediately tried to stop her. it was a chaos.
"no, don't!" sunoo screamed.
"don't say anything!" jay hugged eunji to stop her from talking.
"don't. don't." sunghoon panicked.
"okay, okay. we'll stop complaining about you noona." jungwon chuckled.
