This might be a crime but I love annotating books that aren't mine. I do this mainly with books borrowed from school or from the library. I love finding used books with little notes in them. An underlined passage, a few circled words, a fragmented sentence highlighting something significant. So I do the same thing. I add my own lines and circles, but I also scribble in dictionary definitions of words I didn't know before, or sometimes a silly joke.
