72Carlesme first kiss headcanon
A slip of tongue, Carlisle accidentally said ‘that’s why I love you.’ Less than a second, he felt her soft lips covered his. Carlisle froze. The kiss was shy yet somehow full of passion. He was barely able to stand.
It took him seconds to realize it was not his fantasy and gather his courage to kiss back. He didn’t know how to kiss, but all he wanted was to taste her and feel her again.
Under the dim purple twilight sky, the snowflakes began to fall, glittering due to the distant lights from the houses. The heat of her kiss was contrasting with the cold of snow. When he managed to catch the snowflake fell into her parted lips, it melted into a water droplet that carried her scent on his tongue.

8okay so i just finished reading midnight sun, and of course, me being a mostly Jasper writer, maybe i am a tiny bit defensive. but, how can i not be when edward literally thinks it’s ridiculous that jasper has a hard time controlling his thirst?? does edward not realize that on top of his own thirst, jasper also feels everyone’s around him too? he seems a bit more on edge when he’s thirsty than you do edward? huh, wonder why that could be. maybe it’s because he feels rose’s, emmett’s, alice’s, esme’s, carlisle’s, and even yours too! ugh! reading that book definetly made edward one of my least favorite in the cullen family 🙄

Literally all of your senses are heightened when you become a vampire. Smell, taste (i guess), sight, hearing and TOUCH. Touch is connected to sensing temperatures. So why would a vampire not be affected by temperature? They certainly feel it but it doesn’t seem to bother them.
Edward constantly adores Bella’ warm skin and it seems to make him happy. One of his arguments not to turn her is that he ENJOYS the temperature of her skin, meaning temperature does induce certain feelings. So WHY ON EARTH is he chill with sitting in a tent in A SNOWSTORM IN A BUTTON DOWN SHIRT? Vampires don’t have to make sure they don’t freeze to death and everything but when warmth makes them feel at ease according to canon they would have to be at least somewhat bothered by the absence of it.
GIVE ME VAMPIRES IN THICK SWEATERS AND DRINKING HOT BLOOD BECAUSE IT’S COLD AND IT MAKES THEM FEEL BETTER.
