Finally I can post about the Colin Baker/Frazer Hines Meet and Greet we attended now that I finally have a picture to go along with it.
My sister and I had no idea how the Meet and Greets worked so standing in line outside the room I asked the people in front of us who seemed to be veterans of the con what to expect. Basically the set up some tables and chairs in a giant circle and we all sat around chatting with Colin and Frazer from an hour in a group.
Frazer was already inside and seated as they let us into the room. People began picking their seats around the table and not having a clue where to sit my sister and I grabbed the two adjacent from Frazer assuming Colin, who was yet to arrive would likely sit next to him but that’s not what happened. The seats on either side of Frazer got taken by the other guests and by this time everyone had chosen a seat and Colin was still not there. Glancing around the table I realized there as only one seat open for him and it was RIGHT BESIDE ME!!! Cue my death because never in my wildest dreams did I ever think this was going to happen.
So in comes Colin, he takes his seat and the chat gets underway meanwhile I’m in a complete daze. The conversations ran a gamut of topics. Frazer and Colin are absolutely hilarious together and so, so sweet to all of us.
At one point while Frazer was answering someone’s question Colin glances over at my sister and I who are still in our Six and Peri costumes and just gushes over us. “Look at you! Look at you!” he declares excitedly. We can only laugh and graciously thank him because what do you say to that?
Near the end Frazer noticed that my sister had been fairly quiet so far, I had been nodding in agreement but not really talking either but she had been completely still. Not wanting her to feel left out Frazer asked her if she had anything she wanted to say or ask, luckily she had a question in mind but I thought that was so kind of him to give her a chance to chime in since there was one lady who just would not stop talking.
Finally the hour comes to an end but there’s still the group photo to take. As everyone is standing and getting into position Colin declares that he knows exactly where he needs to stand. Just when I thought the night could not get any better he puts himself between my sister and I and drapes his arms around us! I have truly died and gone to heaven at this point.
To our great pleasure we stood there like that for several minutes waiting for everyone else decided where to stand or sit. He was not letting us go and we were more than pleased to stay put for as long as possible. It truly was an amazing night and something you could never experience at a larger con. For the rest of the weekend, because we were in costume the whole time, Colin called us out every time he saw us.
#colin baker#frazer hines#classic who#doctor who #we are absolutely the happiest people in this whole group #sorry everyone colin has chosen his favorites #i swear we didn't wear our costumes to get attention #we didn't have time to change between events
idk how anyone can watch/ read when the wind blows without going into a depressed stupor, ive never even seen it but sometimes i remember the concept of the film and tear up because what the fuck. the idea of nuclear weaponry alone is enough to make me need to take a breather idk how people existed during the 80s without losing their minds
#if i was alive during the cold war i probably wouldve died from an anxiety related heart attack i cant deal with this topic at all #<- person who has a normal amt of fear abt end of the world events

Connor Murphy doesn't give a shit if he ever sees these people again. He just wants out. Out of his too-big house, a factory of robots they call high school, his family who didn't give two shits about him. If he can, senior years gonna be the last year he ever has to worry about. Fortunately, it's just not that easy.
Hi everybody!!! this is my first multi-chapter fic and so I really hope that you like this. I feel like we got a lot of fics from Evans's perspective more so I really wanted to make one of Conner's perspectives and do some tweaks that in my version of Dear Evan
Hansen that is more meaningful to me. I will be keeping some important and honorable mentions from the musical strictly but I'll make it my own. Or in all honesty, the remake was a mess so let me a gay Latina high schooler with anxiety do it.
(also I know this can be annoying to some people but I will be taking some inspiration from some of my favorite songs for example the first song that this fic is named by "a little closer" from the adaptation soundtrack because that song is the only thing I give a shit about. I won't really be adding lyrics or anything to the fic I will just be adding song titles so you can look them up while reading if you'd like I would also maybe make a playlist if you'll want)
Thank you so much for all your love, my love!! Also, your blog is amazing!! I apologize I am not that great at liking/reblogging things, but do know I see your work and I love it!! You are so sweet and I am happy we are becoming friends! Thank you again for everything!! I love you! ❤️

i wrote and recorded original lyrics to the dragonspine ost to create this song “albedo’s snow-buried tale” !! ❄️
this song is from albedo’s perspective, empathizing with the other albedo out there (fakebedo hehe). inspired by the shadows amidst snowstorms 2.3 event 💫
i wanted to extract the sentiment of this cutscene and transform it into a poetic song. i also added a hint of hope at the end: a question of what if the other subject isn’t tied down to a dark destiny?
*to a fanfiction clearly labelled as angst* i was not emotionally prepared for this
#i say dumb things #to be clear a lot of the things i post aren’t at all relevant to current events #like #i post things that i think of and think are funny #as if they’re about a situation that has happened to me #the situation in this post #has never happened to me #i just thought it’d be funny

We had an ice storm today, so it was gloomy and dark all morning, and a lot of students were tardy or absent, especially the older ones who drive themselves. I had a feeling that would impact my GOV class, so I was ready to adapt when I had to. I held one Court Madness debate, which went well (Engel v. Vitale against Shaw v. Reno: Engel won), and then I showed an episode of The West Wing with my remaining class time (so clutch).
In World, I had students read an article about Joseph Kony, and showed a clip from 60 Minutes about the attempts to kill or capture him. The conversations that generated, especially in my Block 4 class, were really thoughtful. Students had no idea about the LRA, or any of the wars in modern Africa, prior to this course, so their minds are more than a little blown. The last thing I did was give students an assignment about the wars in the area where Kony operates- DR Congo, South Sudan, CAR, etc...- so that they understand how fragile it is, and why it’s like that (colonialism, Cold war, climate change...) We’ll discuss what they’ve learned tomorrow.
I didn’t necessarily want to go to indoor track practice this afternoon because gross weather saps my energy, but i did, and The Head Coach had good news to deliver: we’re actually going to get to go to some meets! This is very exciting!
