Excellent excellent mains. The lamb and beef were so tender and tasty, the pork melts in your mouth. Pricey but you pay for what you get. We also had 2 wine bottles - which was funnily ordered by mistake, because the Beyond Burpple description of the 1 for 1 was so vague, no one could tell if it was referring to 1-for-1 wine glass or 1-for-1 wine bottles. We had to find out through the hard way. But nonetheless, great food and atmosphere!
I made a friend 🥰♥️🐮!

It’s absolutely bananas to think that I’ve been living abroad for the past 2 years…
I’ve been so comfortable lately that the idea that it’s gonna be over unsettles me.
Every day at 8pm for the past two weeks those who are locked down in Paris cheer for the healthcare providers on the frontlines of combating Covid-19. It’s an intimate and altruistic type of patriotism I’ve not seen before; one that isn’t an expectation but freely done.
It’s very moving.

Check out a real working organic farm in the hills outside Subachoque in the Cundinamarca department of Colombia, an hour away from the capital city of Bogotá! I’ll show you what fincas are like here in the Colombian countryside, take you on a tour of the house, the garden, and the HUGE property that Lina’s family keeps out here. I’ll even show you how to chop firewood with a machete, the tool of choice in these parts.
Husband going to a dangerous state/city for a wedding and I miss him 🥺. Plus it’s freaky being alone here. BIL & SIL are here and I have the dogs so we are pretty safe.
I have to say that apart from the smell, which I’m not sure I can ever get used to, I seem to be adapting to living in Ohio.
That’s not to say I don’t miss aspects of Britain, of course.

Our town’s holiday card is super extra. It’s adorable. It even has brain on the back! We had a Russian winter theme for decoration in the town and Christmas market this year.

I’ve just published Book 2 of the Lao Wai Series! This book covers the complications for a foreigner seeking medical help in China. If anyone is living over there, or thinking of travelling to the country, message me for tips and advice. I also offer a basic language tutoring service for those interested in learning Mandarin. I can teach the academic language, and the more practical language for daily life. Sometimes, slang is better than being scholarly.
