I feel the tears slide slowly down my face, a shaking hand coming to wipe them away returned covered in blood. I laughed bitterly as the blood dropped onto the ground, the tears prickling in my eyes making my vision swim red. Over my shoulder wings beat softly as my angel landed, arms wrapping around my shaking body gently.
“Oh Ostara I’m here now, please no more.”
His begging was as soft as the feathered wings that encased us together, the shakes only worsened as my blood smeared across his pearly white feathers. My heart beat roughly against my ribs, clawing violently to be freed the demon screamed within my mind.
“She won’t be quiet. Just breathing is agony, shes going to kill me. Please I can’t keep going!”
I turned around grabbing his arms pleadingly, my blood staining his clothes as he grimaced. I shook him with all of the strength left in my failing body. Around us the air smelled deeply of sulphur, my eyes looked over the burned pentagram into the ground. His arms tightened around me closely pulling me away from the hellfire that still burned brightly.
“I’m taking you home, you just need some rest.”
I screamed pulling against his hold as we lifted from the ground, I tried to pull away to reach Dimitri. His body dead and cold in the middle of the pentagram, my knife buried deeply within his chest.
