“Buy ya’ a drink?”
Thomas rolled his eyes, tossing his scarf back behind his shoulder.
“Not into a hookup, dude.”
Tom looked up at the man’s low laugh as he took a seat beside him anyway, holding up his hand to signal the bartender for a drink anyway.
“I can’t just get to know someone? my bad, I’ll take my leave then.”
Thomas eyed the other man for a moment, sucking on his lips. “hang on.” he said quietly, looking for something to comment on, his eyes catching on a sliver of silver peeking out from under the man’s sleeve. “what’s that?” Tom asked, perking up when the man lifted his arm and rolled his sleeve up to revile a silvery-white dragon tattoo decorating his arm.
“Lemme buy you a drink, and maybe I’ll tell you about it.” the man said casually, letting Thomas touch the inked skin, smirking above Thomas’ head, more a predatory gesture than an actual smile.
“Oh! sure! my name is Tom, but you can call me Chestnut!” Thomas smiled, finally looking up at the other man, who’s smirk curled into a more gentle smile when he looked at him.
“Daniel,” the other offered casually.
