I have been using Fenty’s Dry Brush Cleaning Sponge religiously since I purchased it.
It is so handy whether I’m doing my makeup or beauty swatches.
The Dry Brush Cleaning Sponge is a sponge designed to quickly and easily remove powder pigments from brushes without the use of soap or water.
The sponge does exactly what it’s supposed to do.
If I need to reuse a brush, it only takes me 30 seconds to have it brand new again.
(Watch this space for a link to a demo!)
The case and sponge is no bigger than the palm of my hand so I can see it being easy to travel with.
When this released I expected Fenty to sell a refill sponge as the Colour Switch does but I haven’t seen that available so I am interested in how the sponge will hold up long term.
In the meantime the sponge looks brand new despite excessive use over the last 6 months.
In terms of cleaning, I clean the sponge and case along with my brushes/blenders, it always comes clean easily. The sponge is cleaned in the same manner as my blenders are - gently massaging with cleanser and then wringing the water out.
Keep in mind to empty the case frequently and carefully, as all the excess shadow from your brushes builds up in the base and the coating is relatively easy to scratch off.
The sponge does not replace deep cleaning or sanitising your brushes so surface shadow stains will still be seen.
This is a quick fix and you still need to deep clean to keep both your skin + brushes safe/healthy!
