Today I started a new shift at work… so now I can can get up in the morning and get my workout in 💪🏻🏋🏻♂️

Do you even own a fitness tracker if you don’t get this watch tan every year? Joke aside, I hate getting tan since I tan so unevenly, kind of like toast? At least autumn has officially started so I don’t have to worry anymore and can hide in layer of clothes.
I also picked a program since I’m at the last week of Strong Curves. Decided to go with PPL, it seems to be structured to what I’m already used to/am doing so I won’t have any issues modifying it. Just need to put in all the exercises into the Strong app.
My father got approved for his cancer treatment and so far seems to be responding okay to it, as in he’s not nauseous, dizzy or having any side effects that are usual. The treatment is also supposed to help get his back fixed since the cancer is attacking his spine, well, the bones that is. He has to take like 8 different kind of medication and damn. It’s a lot. He also lost a lot of weight, is in pain and it’s difficult to look at him whenever he tries to get up or walk since he’s so weak. I really hope he’ll get better in the upcoming few months.
My routine has also already changed. I worked out 6 days per week and now I’m at 3, maybe. Ironically not lifting is giving me back pain so I’ll try to focus a bit more on yoga despite already doing it daily. I just want things to go back to normal.

Today was a good day but I’ve been a little stressed about small things, I went for an 11 km walk today and set a new record time, even though I took my dog with me, I felt quite light headed after so I had some dinner afterwards. I do feel angry at myself for eating after I did well but I am planning to do some more exercise later tonight to make myself feel a little better about eating, but it’s one day at a time

I have been telling you that I have been doing 200 push-ups everyday during the summer. I also tried suppliments from FNX to boost my protein intake, and it have given results. Going from headstand to “kind of” handstand was something I was to weak for last year.

So, this happened the other day. I was at my mom’s house and she got a Peloton Bike… Super fancy right? She is able to set up more than one person on the account so we can all use it. It is more than just cardio; there are strength exercises, HIIT exercises and stretching too. Anyways, she asked if I wanted to set up an account and I said sure! As I am filling in the information I had to put in my height and my weight. I proceeded to put 5′6″ and then my weight. I put 185lbs…
Let me give you a little bit of background about myself. I struggle with body confidence. I am starting to learn that it is my body and it will change. I am learning to appreciate my body and what it has done for me over 24 years of life. However, I workout. Every. Damn. Day. I lift. A lot. I don’t do little baby workouts. I mean like I leg press 410 lbs and I am damn proud of that. I am not the thinest. I have a little “snack pack” I call it. I have a muffin top and
huge strong thighs. I recently had to donate most of my flannels because my biceps were too big to fit into them. I wasn’t mad, no, no. I was proud as fuck! I also went to buy shorts this summer and jeans this fall and I had to move from a size 8 (which I have been since high school) to a size 10 because my ass got PHAT! Thank you squats! I have always struggled with weight loss. I gain weight easily and lose weight easily. My weight fluctuates. a lot. That is no ones fault. I thought it was all my fault. I used to think I wasn’t working out enough. I wasn’t working out the right way. Or I was eating like crap (some days I do, I love chicken nuggets… sue me.)
So that day I was setting up the account with my mom, as she watched me put in my weight, she looked at my concerned and disappointed and said “C, do you really weigh 185lbs?” I said, “yes, I do. I was 195lbs about 2 months ago.” She still looked as though I looked unhealthy and extremely obese. She asked if I am eating well. I said yes, I have been continuing Gluten Free and Dairy Free options (which I found out I was allergic to gluten and dairy about a month ago). I also treat myself every once in a while because I can!
The lesson about body confidence: I, C, am 185lbs. My weight drops some days and increases some days. I am 185lbs of muscle. I have strong ass legs. My biceps can lift up to 40lbs and my abs are strong. I can’t see them yet, but I know they are there and working. I look in the mirror and I get sad. I’ll admit that. I look at fitness accounts on Instagram and Twitter all the time and I wish I looked like them. I know that I won’t ever look like them. It is just the way my body works. However, I know damn well I am strong like them. I work hard like them. I will be happy like them. I will love myself, like them. Here is something I want you to understand…
Take care of it. Use it. Appreciate it. And don’t listen to anyone else but yourself!
Oh boy was this a weird morning
I don’t have the mental energy to go into it but I wasn’t focused the first half of the run. The second half though I felt better about but something was still off
The good news is I finally made an appointment with a PT. I start tomorrow! I’m in so much pain right now it’s taking all of my mental energy to push through this day and get my work done. 9:00 pm can’t come soon enough

I was just a secretary but they wanted me to feel special so I wouldn’t complain about the crappy pay 😂
I needed a “cheat sheet” for typing up the Drs notes, which I was HORRIBLE at. Seriously. There were always a million corrections and at least 3 drafts before the Drs would sign off on the notes 😂 this made me laugh and feel nostalgic. I did love that job. ￼
