Meyers household, Roaring Heights - #3

While Elmer was working at the Capps’ business building, Alejandra was left at home alone, mostly just swimming in their backyard pool and waiting for him to come home.

She was able to convince him to have a dip at his grandparents’ large swimming pool, and he did that, but went out of the pool after a few minutes. 

There were times where he wished that this house didn’t come with a pool, and even thought of filling it up completely with sand or cement, but didn’t go through with it. He had this thought of not changing anything in the house that’s not broken. He also thought that maybe in the far future, his future wife and kids would love a swimming pool, especially during summer time.

Later in the evening, Alejandra learned how to do fairy trap on objects, and her first target was the trash can.

The next day, Elmer woke up early and used his extra time in the morning before going to work to reflect on some things, the direction his life and career would go, and about having pets. And about werewolves.

Alejandra started her morning by working on their garden.

Comfort Food~

Umi was angry. Angry at Ms. Melody for yelling at her. Angry at Mr. Vincent for always staying neutral. Angry at Luci for being so immature and clingy. And angry at herself... for feeling like she lost control. 

When she got back to Sulani and went to their apartment, she wanted to see Luci strong. She wanted to see him standing up tall. To see him offering up constructive solutions. Like maybe they could go back to “dating”. Maybe they could separate for a bit. Maybe they should go to the office together and absolve the marriage. But no. Once again she saw a teary-eyed Luci. A puppy trying to act strong. This couldn’t be her husband, this couldn’t be what she was tied to for the rest of her life. She wasn’t that nice. Did she take out her frustrations on him? A little bit. In the moment, she couldn’t really control her emotions. They were raging uncontrollably.

She knew that Ms. Melody didn’t mean to come at her so harshly, but she promised herself that no one would ever be able to just yell her into submission again. She was free woman. She loved Luci, but sometimes love isn’t all that there is to marriage. She respected their family, and she had been muddling through the last 10 months together trying to make it all make sense. But she knew... honestly Luci wasn’t made for her. He couldn’t handle her lifestyle and it was better that they separated.

She had tried to tell him that she wasn’t made for marriage before, but he was so lovely and kind, and told her that he believed in her. She thought that maybe she could change. But this wasn’t right for anyone. She had to finally rip off the band aid and divorce Luci now. The longer she delayed, the messier it’d get. She knew it’d break him, but she wasn’t prepared to comfort him, or be that person for him. Luci needed a healer, not her. She wanted to be free. So as strange as it is to file the divorce papers are start on the road of going back to being single, she knows that they’ll both get through it. Luci with his family...and Umi with her pizza and ice cream? She’ll go skiing later. Right now she’s craving cheesy greasy pizza, and cool, refreshing mint chocolate chip ice cream.

In the evening Makoa decided to grill some plantains in case Lilliana again forgets that he doesn't eat fish. He also went swimming as its something he really loves to do. He loves it so much, that he almost wishes he was born as a  fish and can do it all day long! 

Swimming also helps Makoa think... Lately he feels like his life has became a bit... he doesn't even know how to put it... After Nani was born and they adopted Duane, he and Lilliana barely see each other, as he works all day and she works all night. He definitely believes that they are still good friends, but is it all they are? He would like to bring it up to her, but is afraid to hurt her feelings, especially seeing that she is busting her ass off to take care of everybody...
