this is the style I’m making first - so cute and flexible as a village
We’ve been sorting out the garden during lockdown. The front and back were overgrown with weeds so I sorted all that out. I planted two little rose bushes, one in the back and one in the front. Dug out a dried up shrub to plant the front one, the yellow one, and the windy winter had blown away a lot of soil out there so my kid helped me bring more soil from the back in his wheelbarrow 😂 He got bored after a couple of trips though lol.
We painted some rocks for the little garden strip on the side, which we said is my kid’s garden now, and he chose some windmills and scare crows to decorate it. It was completely coated in leaves and grass that was hard to remove so my kid’s dad helped me dig it all out and me and my kid raked the soil back. Then I planted a couple of plants and one of the roses.
Like a week or so later I noticed a stick next to the rose plant… it reminded me of a cross and I honestly only noticed it on Easter, I don’t remember seeing it there before… but I took it as a good sign. I hope corona is over soon.
My kid’s dad screwed some brackets into our tree as well so we were able to hang some wind spinners that I bought for my kid’s birthday party last year and forgot to open.
So… yeah. The garden is looking nice now. My kid’s chosen another scarecrow now as well, so there’s two. It’s all looking good and I’m going to try to maintain it this year, normally I let it all get overgrown over the winter but I’m going to try to take care of my kid’s garden at least.
I hope I’m back at work soon though… lockdown needs to end 💔
