What kind of holster is everyone rocking right now?
This rather odd variant of the PTR-91, which itself is a clone of the HK 91, is chambered in .243 Winchester. It has a slightly more sporting/hunting aspect to it than a regular PTR-91. The 18″ long barrel is fluted but also unthreaded, which means no muzzle devices unless they’re clamp-on style. It also features a dovetail rail for mounting scope rings. Since .243 Winchester’s parent casing is .308 Winchester, the same magazines can be used. Exact production numbers are not known but the PTR-91 243 was not widely produced and seemed to be an attempt to test the waters of having a hunting rifle patterned on the HK platform. Although they’re considered rare, the PTR-91 243 doesn’t cost much more than a regular PTR-91 when they do show up on the used market. (GRH)
I suppose if you can’t afford the Heckler & Koch MP5 briefcase, then a Thomas the Tank Engine Mac-10 briefcase will do.

Bought me an SKS the other day. It’s Chinese, out of factory “/416" (or 016 according to some people, apparently it’s a debate)
I think it’s a 1974, but its kind of hard to date. Milled trigger guard, and all matching numbers except the stock.
This thing is more fun to me than my Chinese MAK-90.
Damn. That’s some good shooting.
