What even is a Hugh Grundy? It sounds like either an STD or those things that attacked Harry Potter when he was with mermaids in the Goblet of fire
Happy 69th birthday to one of my favourite and most underrated drummer!! Just listen to his drumming in “Is this the dream” or “i’ll Keep Trying” among others ..amazing!!!Happy Birthday Hugh!!
Happy birthday to Hugh Birch Grundy!
As a teenager in St. Albans School, Hugh joined the “Army Cadets” marching band, initially as a bugler. He found himself at the rear with the other horn players during school marching processions. Realizing that “the drummers were at the front and they didn’t have to do all of that blowing,” Grundy gained approval to switch to drumming, which was taught there in the highly disciplined and structured miliary style …”I realized I truly enjoyed drumming, and I had a natural aptitude for it.”
