#ibdp Tumblr posts

  • wait i was so wrong earlier lol ib results come out in 3 days now but anyway here’s what i’m predicting for myself (my teachers never told us our predicteds lol i didn’t even know that was a thing until reddit):

art hl: idk maybe a 5/6? my exhibition slapped but my cs was not great imo. my pp was decent

math hl: honestly like. a 3 at best MAYBE a 4 if I manifest really hard lmao. my IA was trash in content but not in composition so maybe i tricked them hard enough with my coherent structure. i got a 75/100 from my teacher which is way better than i expected so ???

english hl l&l: being serious i think i have potential to get a 7! hopefully i don’t come back and laugh at this lmao but my written tasks were top tier and my ioc/foa were solid. maybe a 6 is more realistic but a 7 would be AMAZING. this is the only class i’m very confident in lol

spanish sl: lol a ¾ if i’m lucky. my ioc was disgusting i sounded so incompetent

hisory (hoa) hl: ummmmmmmm yeah i was kinda counting on the exam for this one :( i think a solid 5 tho. my teacher said he was /probably/ predicting me a 5 but that was a long time ago so idk if that changed

tok/ee: NGLLLLL my tok essay was fire and my presentation was also really good so those points are def there. ee is a solid pass i think. cas is fine but um…. i don’t remember adding reflections for half the shit but my coordinator approved of everything like two days before the deadline so i guess everything was okay?? idk

adding all that to my previously earned 3 in chem sl (lol i’m not even gonna talk about it)…. we have best case scenario 32 and worst case scenario 28. either way is cool but we shall see 😭

I’ll come back and update this after I take the hits!!

come and hang in my messages so we can cry together

    #hopefully this doesn't look stupid bc if it does i'm deleting it FIJESBFSDF #ib#ibo#ibdp#ib diploma#ibdp 2020#mine#studyblr#ib student#ib studyblr #class of 2020 #2020 grad #high school studyblr

    friday 19th june 2020

today i’m finishing up revision of the first unit of the global politics course (power, sovereignty and international relations). feeling pretty unproductive this summer so far… i am making progress though, slow as it is. i’ve never had this much work to do over the summer before haha but that’s how ib goes. i think lockdown is going to relax a bit more soon, and then i can at least see my friends hopefully. are you all out of lockdown yet?

hey guys! i hope you are social distancing and are safe. i decided to make a little introduction to myself (or what subjects im doing), so some of y'all will be able to relate!

I am doing my IBDP year 1 rn! My SL subjects are Russian language and literature, English language and literature, World History. My HL subjects are Chemistry, Math AI, and Geography! A studyblr is something that I’ve wanted to do for so long and I even wrote posts (that I never posted lol)! But I’m doing okay at school and wanted to share my thoughts, some tips, and photos! Stay safe!

  • I’m starting the IBDP this year so i wanted to make a blog for all my IB related stuff so i don’t spam my main blog with it lmao. will this just turn into a studyblr account? perhaps. but for now it’s just a blog for me to rant/complain/talk about IB

The classes i plan on taking (so the ones I’ve signed up for but idk if they’re approved)

    SL French (Jr. Year)

    SL Environmental Systems (Jr. Year)

SL Math Applications (Sr. Year) (i wanted to do studies but my school took it out because everyone’s too smart and nobody took it but being trash at math is my specialty so we’ll see how this turns out)

    HL English

    HL History

HL Theatre (idk if i’ll be in this class because at my school i’m required to have taken theatre in high school before but i haven’t but i just signed up anyway because i emailed the teacher and he said it was fine lmao)

    so yeah

    thats it thats the post

    30 March 2020

Virtual schooling has given some free time in the afternoon to try new hobbies. I decided to try and make some crepes. I based my recipe from Tasty’s Crepes 4 Ways video on their YouTube account (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RLHjdhP7waU).

Initially, I thought that the recipe would be an easy thing to follow. However, while attempting it myself, I found it was not as simple as it looked. I had to figure out how to make the crepes equal in terms of the amount of batter used and covering the pan. It was quite difficult to keep my patience since it took a couple of tries to get it right.

What I learned from this is to control my patience and take my time when trying something new. This was my first time  doing this so I should have been more patient with myself.

    CAS Learning Outcomes:

    • Increased awareness of your own strength and areas for growth
    • New or Extended Skills
    • Shown perseverance and Commitment
    • Undertaking New Challenges

    22 March 2020

With COVID-19 reaching the country and social distancing being encouraged, I was not able to interact with my friends as often as before, especially during the holidays. So, I decided to create a diary using Google Slides to share what I do at home. I shared the document with my friends to know what they do as well. It was a fun way to interact with each other and to boost our creativity as well.

From this, I was able to learn how to be creative digitally and to have fun while doing it too. Although limited to staying at home, it doesn’t mean that there can’t be any fun.

    CAS Learning Outcomes:

    • Collaborating With Others
    • New or Extended Skills
    • Planned and initiated activities or part of an activity

    18 March 2020

When browsing on social media app TikTok, I came across a video of someone demonstrating how they drew a piece. I was feeling inspired and decided to try it out myself. At first, it looked a little strange when I started but I trusted the process and eventually ended up with an interesting piece.

From this, I was able to pick up a new skill (kinda) and perhaps to try expand on it one day. It was also fun to do and the end results are quite satisfying.

    CAS Learning Outcomes:

    • Increased awareness of your own strength and areas for growth
    • New or Extended Skills

    21 February 2020

The next House sport is House Netball. I enjoy the sport, so I decided to participate for the game. I played center for most games, which is a position I’m not very used to playing. However, I decided to go for it because most of my teammates never played center before. I had lots of fun and Skylark came in forth.

From this, I learned that being the center player meant carrying the team with you. I also learned that the game cannot move without the whole team working together. Even though I was drained after the game, I still had an amazing time.

    CAS Learning Outcomes:

    • Collaborating with Others
    • Shown perseverance and Commitment
    • Increased awareness of your own strength and areas for growth
