“I first came to America when I was eleven. For some reason we always expected this place [America] to be really cold because we come from a tropical climate country so I mean it was cold. It was cold ‘cause it was because we weren’t used to the weather, yet. So I felt like it was like May and we were wearing jackets. It’s kinda funny.”

“Oh, I mean, it was hard being illegal because that limits your opportunity in a lot of things like school, work, cause obviously you have to find a work place where you’re allowed to work without documents and stuff like that. Even with schools thats really hard thing, you know, because you can’t take loans for school if you’re illegal here. So yea, that was hard.”

“On Trump’s policies, I think it’s pretty dumb. Honestly I don’t know much about politics but it’s like a country built on immigrants and now he’s gonna take them all out. Like it doesn’t even make sense at this point especially at this day and age.
I mean I feel like it’s not that I don’t care its kinda like it’s common sense that it’s dumb. Like what are the pros of it like, like there’s nothing. It’s just really stupid. He’s trying to keep people out who have lived here their whole life, you know, did what they had to do, for what? What are they getting kicked out for? I don’t understand. There’s really nothing else that you can say about it. It’s stupid at least I think it’s stupid.
I mean everyone has their own opinions right? Especially coming from me obviously, if you’re in this position it’s scary because what if you just get deported for no reason, like, you didn’t do anything wrong and you were doing all the things you were supposed to do so yea. But I hope he doesn’t succeed. I really hope he doesn’t succeed in what he’s trying to do in trying to get rid of everyone. Then who’s going to be left here, honestly?”

Hello! My name is Livie Wang and I am the creator and founder of the All American Project. As the daughter of Chinese immigrants, I have always been interested in the immigration process in the U.S. as well as it’s history. In recent years, I have been paying more attention to the new immigration policies and laws as well as the effects they have on American society as a whole. With the stories and voices of American immigrants, I hope to bring awareness to immigration as a whole and I hope to give people a better understanding of what it truly means to be an American immigrant.
I hope that you will join me in this cause to advocate for the rights of our immigrant brothers and sisters.

Mr. Trump, you are not going to divide us up by gender, by race, by who we love. Your bigotry is bringing us together in a progressive movement. We are not going to retreat on women’s rights, immigration rights, workers’ rights, health care rights, racial justice or climate change. @RepostIt_app
