Natsu smiled while returning the hug towards the blonde. But seeing tears fall from her eyes made him feel guilty. As he gently embraced her in a tighter hug. “ Sorry for disappearing on you like that Lucy. There was a lot going on and I needed some time away. But next time you can come with, I promise.” He replied reaching over to poke the blonde on the nose.
Happy sat on his shoulder before hovering over to Lucy to embrace her in a hug as well. The two did feel bad for leaving everyone especially Lucy behind just like that. But the two of them needed their space, to grow stronger and learn from their mistakes. Along with reflecting on their pasts.
the doctors were beginning to comment on her improving condition, and honestly, rei could feel it as time went on. life wasn’t as lonely now that the children were visiting her and writing to her. she had come to expect at least one of them coming to see her every couple of days, so when a nurse told her that family had come to see her, she brightened and waited. hearing the door open, she turned and smiled …
… only for that grin to fade when she saw him there instead.
addie sat on a bench just outside her dorm building, her toxicology textbook open in front of her, completely forgotten. she had been about to look up a term for her homework when she accidentally opened up snapchat to check the lighting. a good collection of selfies made their way onto her camera roll before the lighting changed, blocked by someone standing in between herself and the sunshine. “EXCUSE ME.” her face twisted in disbelief as she realized what was going on. “go stand somewhere else.”
Since being back in Miami, Tyler hadn’t had much of an opportunity to figure out what she was going to do with herself. The Army had been her entire life and now that she was unceremoniously dumped back into the civilian world, she felt wholly out of place. With nowhere in particular to go, Tyler found herself wandering down the beach, her hand latched firmly around her dog’s leash as she got further down it. It was packed with people as she got further down, a product of what she could only assume was a large party going on at the club that was hopping just a stone’s throw away. Feeling out of place with all the rather raucous partygoers, Tyler slipped around as many as she could before finding herself somewhat stuck in the midst of it all.
Her hand dropped down to her dog’s fur, fingers tangling within it as a small comfort as her eyes darted around at everything, landing finally on what was an oddly familiar face. It had been years since she’d been fully there in Miami, but it didn’t take long at all for her to put two and two together and recognize Amelia from afar. Since it didn’t seem as though she would be escaping the crowds any time soon, Tyler figured it would at least be nice to catch up with an old friend. Walking over, Tyler paused, unsure of herself for a moment before she lifted a hand to wave. “Hi - ah. I don’t know if you even…remember me, but um. Tyler. Tyler Harrison from…from high school. It’s - wow. It’s good to see you, Cap,” she greeted, effusively, the nickname for her old soccer captain falling from her lips without even thinking about it.
