assigning uk alts’ covers based on the broadway system and my personal opinions

nobody needed or asked for this x

More under the cut, including notes:

First of all, everyone has 3 first covers, 2 second covers, and 1 third cover/role they don’t cover.

Every queen *should* have two alts covering them

I tried to keep it so that no two alts shared a pair of first covers (i.e. no two first cover Aragon/Howards)

The only exception should be in the West End 2021-22 cast as having five alts made it funky.

For alts, I tried to keep both of their actual first covers in their first covers.

I also tried to make sure that their other first cover wasn’t a third cover

Exceptions include Vicki, who would’ve been Boleyn/Cleves/Howard, but it ended up not panning out as I needed another first cover Parr and both Grace and Shaka had Parr as a third cover

For second & third covers, there were a few things I took into account

I picked their actual second covers for the first second cover

Not every queen has hit swingo/done a third cover. For the ones who did, I put their more frequent third cover in second (i.e. Grace Cleves, Jen Cleves) or the third cover I personally liked more in second (i.e. Courtney Howard).

For queens who didn’t hit swingo, I put the third cover I thought they were likelier to do/would suit their voice better (i.e. Zara Parr), or the one they have done (i.e. Harriet Aragon)

Special cases were the swings (Collette and Nat Pilk) and the entire 2021-22 cast

For swings, I tried to put covers they went on most frequently for first cover, but this didn’t necessarily pan out, as I also needed to do the alts first to follow all the previous rules

I also ignored Natalie’s Bliss covers

Their third covers were based on roles they played/were scheduled to go on for the least, at least to my understanding

For the 2021-22 cast swings, I put the first 3 roles they covered first as their first covers

For Roxanne and Danielle, I automatically put the 2nd cover they debuted as a first cover

I put Paisley as first cover Seymour because I think her Seymour will be neat. That is all x

Third covers were entirely arbitrary so I put the third cover/uncovered role I wanted to see the most from them

For the standbys, I didn’t make them part of a specific cast and kept the standby covers they used

Which is why Liv was 2nd cover Boleyn despite being a principal Boleyn and a previous 1st cover Boleyn

I think that is all the notes!

Might do the rest of the Cruise alts and the Australia alts later and revisit the 2021-22 alts when they’ve debuted more roles first, who knows

Yo, DC, give us an animated series about the Flash Family.

Like, imagine, a Wally West-focused show with Bart as his annoying nephew and Jesse as his short-tempered sorta-cousin, Jay and Max as their tired dad figures. Follow Wally developing from an impulsive jerk to a genuine hero overcoming his grief, anxieties, and depression, the entire time being a snarky little charmer. Bart and Jesse get their own arcs, Jay and Max grow and adjust to match their mentoring style to what these kids need, and occasionally Barry’s and Johnny’s Speed Force ghosts are there.

Linda as Wally’s love interest, a reporter with her own stuff who helps ground the speedsters, Piper as his best friend and tech guy, and the Rogues as either friendly enemies up to their own mischief, while Wally deals with Abra Kadabra, Grodd, Blacksmith, Kobra, Neron, Zoom, and more.

Barry’s gotten a live action TV series and now a movie. Give Wally an animated series and we’ll call it even for now.

Irey is so funny. She has such a dominant, take-nothing-from-anyone, sassy personality. I love the issues where they put that aspect of Irey’s personality on display. For example,

Irey is giving some civilian a hard time after SHE SCARES HIM ON PURPOSE. I bet she comes across as a little abrasive to others even though she’s got a big heart. And, she is also totally the one to give her parents hell too.

Whereas Jai is a bit more, relaxed and go with the flow. Jai always seems to be a lot happier being part of a team and/or being a sidekick than Irey who obviously loves heroing and her dad and all those things but definitely likes and wants independence anyway she can get it. And, sometimes it can come across a little ‘bratty’ but that’s also just part of being an assertive and, at times, little bit moody pre-teen. And, I love it when Irey is being a ‘13 going on 30′ year old.

But I theorize, as Irey gets older, she continues to be a terror. Again, Irey wants freedom, independence, and more responsibility when it comes to heroing and her everyday life. Wally is the definition of an overprotective dad and Linda is protective but probably a little more giving to a teenagers need to grow into themselves. Irey and Wally are super close but I can definitely see them getting into arguments all the time about Irey essentially in a hurry to grow up and be an adult and Wally wanting to shelter his children from any bad thing that could ever happen in the world ever.

Linda is bae so she definitely gets tired of their loud arguing and they do family therapy which helps them better understand each other and come to compromises (sometimes). Jai has trouble not laughing audibly during their dumb and petty arguments both at home and at family therapy. Linda, ofc, gives him the ‘quit it now’ side eye.

#irey west#wally west#linda park#jai west#flashfam #i love wallys family #theyre so domestic #and are definitely the family that has the most 'normal' disagreements and arguments #earth so and so

Song Review: Bobby Weir & Wolf Bros - “West L.A. Fadeaway” (Live)

It took Bobby Weir & Wolf Bros nearly 13 minutes to get through “West L.A. Fadeaway” - not because of exciting detours, but because they play the thing at about one-third speed.

The track follows “New Speedway Boogie” as single No. 2 in advance of the Bros’ first LP, Live in Colorado, which is due Feb. 18.

It might be late, based on the plodding pace of “West L.A.” For despite expanding the former trio to a 10 piece with horns, strings, piano and pedal steel, Weir manages to suck the life out of the Grateful Dead’s elastic funk, wiping away much of its “Superstition”-inspired groove, adding an extra measure between vocal lines and repeating lookin’ for a chateau like a mantra.

The listener, meanwhile, is lookin’ for a tempo.

Grade card: Bobby Weir & Wolf Bros - “West L.A. Fadeaway” (Live) - C-
