I really wanted to start the New Year ( and new decade ) trying something new. I feel like I’m not very active on Tumblr and would like to post more often, so I decided that sharing my monthly reflections and expectations that I have for myself would be a great start.
✨ Unfortunately, I was sick (and still am) since the beginning of the month. While in India, I contracted a viral cold and it has been taking longer to get rid of.
✨ I wasn’t as productive at the beginning of the month as much as I wished I was. I kept losing focus, getting distracted by my friends, and just plain exhausted from jetlag and my cold.
✨ I feel like my academic and personal routines were thrown, most likely because I was so sick at the beginning of the school term.
✨ Despite being sick, I was still able to do well and most of my homework, quizzes, and exams this month.
💕 Stay focused! Try to not get distracted by what my friends are doing and try to study outside of my apartment more.
💕 Eat well. Try eating fruits and vegetables as snacks and having consistent meal times. Ease off of processed foods and drinks.
💕 Drink more water! Stay hydrated, water will help you stay awake and focused,
💕 Try to go to the gym or try other forms of exercise 2-3 times a week, and then increase the number of days as weeks go on.
💕 Try to read a book 3-4 days a week before going to sleep instead of going through my phone.
💕 Stick to your routines always. They will help feel more grounded, productive, and less anxious.
