It’s late July in the afternoon, the hot sun baking boils on exposed skin if you are a brave enough soul to show any flesh. The cicadas cry, the large winged beasts screaming into the scorching air, sounding like terrible, angry monsters. My giggles cut through the loud droning of the winged beetles, pleased to my core I even let out an unladylike snort, shoulders shaking as Seungkwan tells the group of us a joke. I sit with a few of my brothers - the princes of the land in which father rules - in the shade of the maple when the laughing ceases as a shadow blocks the sun from roasting us further. The younger crowd of my brothers and I look up to see it is men from the king’s court, walking over to our shady spot in the garden, solemn features, shiny hats, and a loyalty to my father is the only thing they share.

Summary: Everyone knew that Jungkook and Y/N were sworn enemies, but maybe sometimes all it takes to get along is some poor map reading and a very small tent
You checked your watch for what felt like the millionth time that day. Four hours. It had been four hours since you got into a car with Jungkook and in that time you’ve spoken three words to him. He had offered to read the map for you and you snapped a quick “I got it.” before snatching the paper out his hands. If it were up to you you’d be driving alone instead of with Jungkook, but the rest of the guys had crammed into Jimin’s car, taking up all the seats. They insisted it was just coincidence that the arrangement meant you and Jungkook would be alone together, but you knew it was their weak attempt at forcing you two to become friends. Or at the very least, not enemies.
There was no real reason why you didn’t like each other, at least not for you. Jungkook would always ignore you, his demeanor changed when you walk into a room and he’d do his best do sit as far away from you as possible. So, being your typical petty self, instead of trying to be nice to Jungkook you decided to treat him with the exact same coldness.
You tore your eyes from the road for a brief second to glance at Jungkook. He had headphones in and was leaning against the window, watching the sunset with a small smile on his face. This was the happiest you had ever seen him when alone in each other’s company. Earlier on he was constantly messaging the rest of the guys, most likely complaining about you, sighing whenever he saw Namjoon peak his head out the window of the car in front with an evil grin plastered to his face. About an hour ago their car stopped over for McDonald’s, though Jungkook said to just keep driving. The one thing you could both agree on was the fact you couldn’t stand the six boys’ constant teasing about you two.
Looks like Katrina already found the new addition to the house! Now it’s just time to wait for the competitors… 👀

Jin:
You sighed heavily as you reached up to the cupboard, trying desperately to pull the packet of biscuits down that the boys loved to keep high, out of your reach, knowing how much it wound you up.
“You need a man to reach those for you,” Jin remarked as he walked in on your struggle.
You sighed, turning around to face him, “if you can find me a man willing to date me maybe I wouldn’t have to endure such a struggle alone.”
“I’m sue there’s one somewhere for you,” he tried to encourage, grabbing the packet down with ease in the process.
“Where can I find him then?”
His shoulders shrugged, a small smirk was stretched across his face, “maybe sometimes you don’t need to look so far and look what’s standing right in front of you.”
“What’s that supposed to mean?”
You raced behind him as he began to walk out of the room, “all I’m saying is don’t be so blind, it’ll make sense soon once you’ve figured it out.“
“I hate how cryptic you are sometimes Kim Seokjin!”
Yoongi:
He smiled when he saw you stood facing his mirror adjusting your outfit as you prepared to head out with the boys for one of their shoots. He stood behind you for a moment before clearing his throat.
“You look beautiful,” he complimented, bringing a light blush across your cheeks.
You smiled appreciatively towards him through the mirror, “I’m not sure this works to be honest. Reckon you could help me pick an outfit out?”
“Isn’t that what a boyfriend is supposed to do?” He innocently asked, but your shoulders shrugged, you had no time to waste questioning.
“You’re just going to be second best.”
His heart dropped at your words, but all the same he began to help raid your wardrobe. “Will I always be your second best? Is that all I’m ever going to be to you?”
“I don’t see anyone else above you.”
His head nodded, “then stop saving that space and allow me to fill it,” he spoke before he even realised what he’d said, your eyes stared across at him.
“Are you saying what I think you’re saying?”
Hoseok:
Anytime you watched Hobi drunk brought a smile to your face, if you thought his character was extravagant before, after a couple of drinks you couldn’t help but continuously break out into fits of giggles.
“You might want to control your boyfriend,” one of the waiters came over to you, surprising you.
You went to speak but the waiter swiftly walked off, staring up at Hobi who had a smile of mischief on his face. “What have you been saying?”
“I may or may not have told the people you were my girlfriend,” he chuckled loudly, “my mum always told me to be honest.”
“But I’m not your girlfriend Hobi?”
He jumped down from the chair he was stood on, in the blink of an eye it felt like sober Hobi was staring back at you. “Then why are you not my girlfriend if it’s what I want?”
“Subtly was never your strong point, was it?”
He nodded proudly, taking a huge sip from his drink. “Maybe this wasn’t the best way to drop hints but at least now you know properly how I feel.”
“Let’s talk tomorrow, when you’re a little less drunk.”
Namjoon:
Your hand ran across the aisle of books, browsing each title until one caught your eye, pulling it out and reading the blurb. The book itself was about a girl who lost her ways, finding her pathway again.
“It’s a good book that one, I recommend it,” a voice spoke from beside you.
You looked up, recognising the guy from last week, and the week before when you’d been to the library. “Are you following me?”
“Let’s just call it coincidence, we must both just love shopping for books on a Wednesday morning,” he smiled, passing you another book.
“Is this another of your recommendations?”
He nodded, picking out a book for himself, “maybe if you’re free after this we could go out for coffee? I’m a bit of a bookworm, I’ve got plenty of recommendations if you want them.”
“This isn’t you asking me on a date it is?”
His head shook, but the idea had most definitely crossed his mind. “It’s strictly coffee and books, we just both share an interest which is good to talk about.”
“I’m down for it, as long as you’re buying!”
Jimin:
He couldn’t believe it when he walked backstage and saw you there, with an army bomb in one hand and a banner with his face on in the other, wrapping his arms tightly around you in delight.
“I can’t believe in thousands of armies I never found you out there,” he chuckled.
You smiled back at him, wrapping your arms around his waist. “That’s because you have thousands of people cheering your name and wanting your attention.
“I should always be able to spot you in the crowd though,” he noted, “no one else stands out like you in any crowd.”
“That’s impossible, I don’t stand out at all.”
He bit down on his bottom lip anxiously, “that’s just the thing, perhaps sometimes you don’t realise just how well you stand out to me, not just in the crowd, but in life.”
“Where are you going with all this soppy nonsense?”
His eyes fell staring down to the ground, “now isn’t the time to say, I’ve said enough,” he spoke, walking back in the direction he’d come from.
“Jimin! You can’t just walk away like that!”
Taehyung:
Your hand ran over Yeontan’s head as Taehyung sat across from you on the other sofa, smiling fondly at the close bond the two of you had, from the moment Yeontan came into his life.
“I hate that he only has a dad sometimes,” Taehyung spoke from out of the blue.
You nodded, tickling under his chin, “but he’s got the best dad in the world, he doesn’t need a mummy, you’ve trained him so well by yourself.”
“I don’t mean just for Tannie though, a partner for me would be nice too,” he added, staring across at you hoping you’d understand him.
“I keep telling you to get out there!”
His head shook, you’d tried to set him up on several blind dates but each time he declined. “I know what I want, I don’t need some dodgy app trying to tell me who I’d like.”
“Then what is it you would like then?”
He let go of a heavy sigh, meeting your eyes as you tried to figure out what was going on. “There’s only ever been one person I’ve wanted in life.”
“Then maybe you should go ahead and tell them.”
Jungkook:
Since you’d told him about your planned date with a guy from work something had been off with Jungkook, you didn’t want to question it, but you knew something was playing on his mind.
“So, you’re going to go on it then?” He asked as you stopped by the studio before the date.
Your eyes rolled, glaring across at him. “Why not Kook? He’s a nice guy and I think it’s about time I think about settling down and find someone.”
“Do you not think there’s someone out there better suited for you?” He challenged, raising his arms in his own frustrations.
“I won’t know until I meet him.”
The boys all sat back helplessly; they knew how much Jungkook liked you. “All I’m saying is that I think there is someone better out there, I don’t think he’s the one for you.”
“You keep talking about this better guy but who is he?”
He took a few steps closer to you, resting his hands on your shoulder. “If you’re too oblivious to see all the signs, then maybe the guy isn’t for you after all.”
“The guy is you, isn’t it?”

For the first time in my life, I’ve started to plan out some fics that I want to write. I’m thinking of making a continued series of short drabbles similar to @taetaespeaches stuff, and I’m actually kind of pumped about it?
I only have Jungkook’s planned out right now (y’all can you tell who my bias is? I wasn’t sure at first, but I think I’ve accepted my fate at this point). I’m open to suggestions for the other guys–honestly or even JK, I’d love to add to what I’m planning for him–feel free to send in scenarios (like ‘first date’ or ‘’moving in together’) or dialogue you might want to see (I may add some dialogue options to my prompts page, or you can find some on your own), and I’ll try to add them to the list.
