"You said our first encounter was on the worst terms. Not for me though. I saw a woman on the beach that day. She sat there for a long time, but all I could see was sadness in her eyes. And I couldn't get it out of my mind, so my eyes kept being drawn to her. But I never thought that I'd fall in love with her."
"Will you enjoy today, tomorrow and all of your time with me?"
Hometown Cha Cha Cha! The drama finally came to an end! This was a magical and healing drama, you all! Every weekend I used to be so excited to watch the episodes and every episode bought us different joy!
The journey of Chief Hong and Hye-jin from frenemies to lovers was so exquisite. When I started to watch this drama I kept thinking about how would they look when they start dating? And my question was answered in episode 12! They were kinda cringe-y yet beautiful.
About Chief Hong not opening up about his past well...it was something difficult. When someone starts to bottle up their emotions in one place and never talks about it, it becomes a habit and you become an unknown person to yourself!
With Chief Hong's personality, Du Sik always thought that it was his fault that his grandfather and friend died and that guard suicided. He thought he bought death upon the people he liked. But those things were supposed to happen and he happened to survive.
The survivors suffer more pain and so did Du Sik. He blamed himself. But in the end, he finally opened up to Hye jin and rather than blaming I was happy to see that Hye jin was comforting him. I liked how Hye Jin and all the people of Gongjin believed in him. I LOVED it when Hye Jin was there for him when he lost Miss Gamri. Miss Gamri was Du Sik's only hope to live when he wanted to die.
I was happy to see that Du Sik can finally open to Hye Jin and talk about everything with her. He cried to his fullest when Hye Jin was there. He can be sad in front of Hye Jin because he knows she wouldn't judge him and that is what a significant other do!
Hong Du Sik's and Yoon Hye Jin's bond was bewildering. They both slowly understood each other which is all in the process of a relationship! And they had a happy ending ;)
This was a soothing, healing and comforting drama! And I loved every bit of it! Imma miss this one. My weekends are gonna be so boring now💀
Anyways as much as the proposal was heart touching it was hilarious too how Du Sik just rejected her without even thinking and then proposed to her again. Well that's the Dimple Couple and they'll be missed.
-Why do you believe me, when I can’t even believe myself?
- Because, we’re partners.
#the way i starting sobbing in this scene #this scene is so beautiful in so many aspects #the veil #mbc the veil #kdrama#kdramaedit #nam goong min #kim ji eun #han ji hyuk #yoo je yi #i will never get over this scene deadass
The leads’ romance avre so sweet that I don’t know if my heart or eyes can take it anymore.
Yoon Hye Jin comes to Gongjin as she has some sweet memories with her mother there but unexpectedly stays there for a longer time.
While being there she meets Hong Du Sik a bit rude local who helps everyone by doing literally everything.
This was such a warm, happy drama and I still can’t believe that it’s finished.
The plot is quite simple, it follows Hye Jin and Du Sik and how they come from disliking each other and bickering all the time to lovey dovey couple that even the locals got sick of.
And it was just amazing to watch that journey as we also got to learn more about the other characters and it just makes you feel so happy while watching it.
Well at least it worked for me, even after a hard day or even if I was feeling sad putting this drama on was like a healing and something worth to watch.
As I mentioned, the characters have really interesting backstories and even the lady who seems to never shut her mouth and likes to gossip has something hidden inside of her.
I also remember reading that some people didn’t like Hye Jin because she seems too cold and she doesn’t like anything or for some she seems underdeveloped.
But if you understand all those cold but soft inside drama CEO’s how can you not see who Hye Jin truly is. She had lots of heartbreaks until her heart shut off from the world and even then Hye Jin decides to help the towns people.
Seeing her open up wholeheartedly to Du Sik and other villagers is where I see her growth.
Du Sik also has his secrets and I loved how the writers revealed it because it was so heart wrenching but at the same time so beautiful.
I just believe that this drama was wonderful from start to finish, the interactions the characters had with each other and all the cute or sad stuff was so interesting to watch.
Now that it’s gone, I’m feeling a bit sad because I won’t have a drama that will heal my heart like this one but I hope people who haven’t still started it can have the same experience with it.
