DRUGS: Millefolii herba.: From July we harvest the upper parts of the flowering shoots. We cut them with a knife, so as not to pull out the whole plant. The dried drug has an aromatic odor and a bitter, aromatic taste. We can also use fresh herbs.
HABITAT AND DISTRIBUTION: Grows on meadows, forest slopes, shrubs, cultivated soils and embankments, from lowlands to mountain belts.
RELATED SPECIES: There are several yarrow-like species that we can use for treatment. The true yarrow and its relatives appear in several genetic types. They differ from each other in the composition of the essential oil, especially in the amount of important active substance, azulene.
ACTION AND USE: Yarrow acts similarly to chamomile: choleretic, bactericidal, antispasmodic and astringent. Choleretically acting drugs that stimulate the formation and outflow of bile.
Yarrow helps with dyspepsia, discomfort in the upper abdomen, or upper digestive tract, which can have organic or functional causes. Bitter substances stimulate the secretion of saliva, gastric juice and bile. Better secretion of pepsin and hydrochloric acid occurs through the vagus nerve.
In direct contact of bitter substances with the mucous membrane, gastrins are formed, which is why bitter substances act on poor appetite. Yarrow is used for insufficient appetite, dyspeptic symptoms, stomach and intestinal cramps. In spasmodic pains of psychovegetative origin in women, in menstrual problems and bleeding, we use it in the form of a bath. Yarrow is sometimes used as a diuretic, at high pressure. For flu and after serious illnesses, we recommend it as a tonic sweetened with honey.
TEA: From one to two teaspoons of the drug (2-5 g) we prepare the scald. We drink it three to four times a day during meals. We also use it for dressings or rinsing wounds that heal slowly.
TEA MIXTURES:> oak. Mixture affecting the liver, stomach, intestines and bloodstream:
The preparation is made from two teaspoons of the drug. We
drink tea three times a day, half an hour before meals.
SITTING BATH: 100 g of fresh or dried greens are prepared as a scald with 1 liter of water. Covered should stand for 20 minutes, then add it to the bath.
FRESH JUICE: Pour two handfuls of fresh herbs with 100 ml of water and grind well in an electric mixer. Four times a day with a meal we take one tablespoon of squeezed juice.

I just seem to vibe with witches, but wow there is so much stuff about them I don’t know what to choose! I wanna start work on my book of shadows soon.
My sketch progress of week one of artober~
I decided to try doing 4 more detailed images instead of trying to bust out half assed drawings every day lol.
I realized how many people are into witchcraft until they realize they need to research and practice. I swear they all think it’s like the movies where you can shoot magic out of your hands. 🤦♀️
This soup, is actually pretty tasty, so don’t be scared off by the title. Apple and cheese are really good together. And this recipe, from my kitchen to yours, is infused in magick!
To prep: Cook your apple slices till soft, then purée them with a stick blender. Add a big pot to the stove, add oil to heat up on medium heat.
Cooking the soup: Add diced onions, pureed apple, and cook on medium heat for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add in broth, apple cider, seasonings, and beer (optional) into the pot and stir. You’ll want to bring this to a boil, and then turn down to simmer for an additional 12 minutes.
Stir in your half and half and flour to thicken, along with your brown sugar. Cook this enough for the alcohol to boil off if serving people under 21 years of age or if you don’t want alcoholic soup at that matter. Cook for another 15 minutes stirring on a low medium heat.
Now stir in the cheese until it has melted in nicely in the soup, remember you can always add more things to you’ll liking.
Authors Notes: Beer can be substituted for more broth, stir clock-wise for a more effective outcome. You can also substitute beer for one of you other potions, or edible elixirs. Pecans pair well with this, along with walnuts. You add bacon, or even dip apple slices into the soup.
A little kitchen witch scene. Hope you all have a delightful autumn Sunday afternoon!

🌙🐺Baisc u should know 💜☁️
“I appreciate you being all zen about this mama, but I’m not” said Eldest to me recently. I assured this human that I did, in fact, have many layers of emotion going on.
And still, I was zen. No, seriously, Paws is really great at inciting self examination in me. So even as I was speaking about my emotions and their reasons, I was not consumed by them.
Wow. That’s a new thing. To CHOOSE my feelings. To be able to feel grief, sadness, rage and still not be lost in them or lashing out. I guess that’s pretty fricking zen. Ha! I wish it was as easy as it apparently looks on the outside. It’s not and I am just coming through screaming (literally) about trust and betrayal.
It gets really easy to start up on oneself with all that ugly self talk. I wade through it with facts…but those don’t always tell the whole story.
“What’s the story you’re telling yourself?”
Oh so many. I can’t pick one. Interestingly, however none of them have that “because you aren’t good enough” flavor. That’s a new thing.
And I can call one heck of a storm.
Any witches up or wanna talk or something like I’m just up right now and kinda bored looking for new friends and maybe a mentor no rush though just want someone to talk to for a bit
