My favorite character trope is guys with spikey black hair, whose names begin with K, and red is an important part of their colour scheme. They have lived as a social outcast for most of their life, which makes them horrible at making friends (they only have one or two), but despite this they force themselves into leadership roles. They are very mean when you first meet them, but they are also super sensitive and cry a lot. They also yell a lot. Oh, and they are dating the edgy kid who was raised (mostly) by an older brother
And some Taka angst I wrote before the Takaaki angst
dogs n’ cats
What caused Ishimaru and Mondo to become so close after the sauna, was because they actually communicated. Nothing lewd. At least, in my headcannon.
Ishimaru found out that Mondo wasn't just a deliquiate, he had the constant anxiety of being a good leader to his gang on his shoulders. He strived to become better with everything he did. The fear of never becoming the leader his brother had been, and always living in his shadow.
And Mondo found out that Ishimaru wasn't just some stuffy hall monitor that enjoyed ruining other student's days, but instead someone who wanted to succeed in life using their own hard work as a stepping stone. Someone who wanted to overcome their family name, and instead carve their own path.
In the end, they found out they had many things in common. They understood why the other would act the way they do. This is what caused them to become so close.
Makoto? Want to uh...what the fuck?
I write a lot about Mondo and Taka having this perfect sappy life, but them briefly arguing over the stupidest stuff is funny to me. Yeah, there's important topics you'd expect, like Mondo ignoring traffic laws or Taka working himself too much.
But also dumb things, like how to pronounce a word. Odds are they're both wrong. Friends learned not to get in the middle of that one or the couple suddenly joins forces against the friend trying to help. Better to just open a phone to an audio clip and toss it at them like a grenade.
Or sleep: They always, always cling onto each other in various positions, no matter the temperature. So if they wake up sticky with sweat they each assign blame, even though they're both super guilty. And Mondo swears he's going to smash Taka's alarm clock everytime it's set on a weekend.
Grocery shopping: "Mondo, half the entire receipt was sweets!?"
Organizing: "Babe, ya got like six diff'rent fuckin trash bins; can ya chill the fuck out?"
Clutter: "YOU HAVE THREE BOTTLES OF THE SAME HAIRSPRAY ON THE COUNTER! THERE ARE CUPBOARDS!"
Chores: "I'm not makin the bed every damn day when I'm just gonna tackle ya into it again later!"
???: "YOU'RE DOING IT WRONG!" -- "HOW CAN I POSSIBLY BE DOING IT WRONG?!"
Not to mention, they'll still make anything a competition. But that might not count because, while the squabble will start out strong, either Taka will stop in order to fuss over Mondo, or Mondo will stop so he can become Taka's cheerleader.
Like I said, the bickering is always brief. Which is good news for anyone around, but it's a better idea to keep a distance when they start making up.
Kiyotaka kinda looks like a younger Phoenix Wright
Taka Naruhodo, maybe?
