I wonder how many characters are portrayed as whimsical and all knowing when they probably started off their day walking into a lamppost then apologizing profusely to it, then contemplated their own loneliness and existence for the next half hour they were out walking.

Amazing Computing September 1992
The “basics” in this issue covered a variety of topics. Part of Don Hicks’s editorial took on a nationally syndicated column from the San Jose Mercury News’s Phillip Robinson with the provocative headline “Commodore lets Amiga die slow death.” In the “Roomers” column, though, “the Bandito” was able to gloat about the impending discontinuation of the “Toogis” (a nickname for the Apple IIgs I don’t remember seeing in print before this issue), proclaiming that since that computer had been introduced with claims to be an “Amiga killer” (again, something the coverage at the time hadn't made a big deal of) the Amiga had killed it instead. (Apple II users remained more likely to throw all the blame at Apple’s management.)

want to register my good days so i don’t forget about them and today was a good day. my very sweet friend picked me up from the hotel where i stayed during quarantine (and honestly bless him so much. i would have never survived without him helping with my suitcases in the metro) then he also took me to a vegan restaurant where we had the best lunch (a warm meal hits different after 2 weeks of the same not-warm thing 3 times a day lol. not that there was anything wrong with the quarantine food, it was okay. but dang) anyways. had amazing food. dropped off my stuff at my dorm. went to han river, walked through a park and rode bikes. I WAS SO HAPPY !!! felt really alive on the bikes and in the park with the pretty views <3
A different perspective...
I was taking some photographs in the "Parisian Room" at the Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe Hamburg and ended up with this weird angle by mistake.
At first I was going to delete it, but the longer I look at it, the more I like how the shot frames the Tiffany lamp in the middle. Sometimes it's good to see things in a new way.
Photograph by me.
