~💧~ A few hours ago when Lapis was forced up to eat a breakfast and trek out to the wild for an unwarranted camping trip she was far from pleased. The blackmail that was thrown at her on Both ends was more than enough to force her hand. Her most trusted family friend insisted she would have a good time, but she had her doubts.
She also was not very awake so was she looking forward to walking into the woods with heavy gear? No. Why were they going out to the woods they were Gems why was this even included in the to-do-list of living? They had all the time in the world to live why were soldiers and elder like gems so interested in being one with nature?
Lapis threw on her heavy blue sweatshirt staring out towards the sun that was burning her eyes. How could Cinnabar seen anything passed that blinding glare in the distance. She squinted her eyes that were flinching from the brightness.
“Are you sure you know where you’re going? I can’t see a thing!”

Happy Thanksgiving 🍁🦃
It’s ma birthday!
This sodalite and lapis pendant is one of the largest pieces I’ve woven.
It’s about 3″ high, which isn’t huge, but is for me.
I started it for a smaller stone, but ended up working on it during a timed online test that wouldn’t count if you went through it too quickly but timed you out if you read all the supplementary material. I’d been about halfway through this or so and thought I could at least make some use of the time. But it was such a ridiculous setup that by the time I was done with the test four hours later I’d rage wrapped way past my original planned dimensions!
I don’t know if I’d have been brave enough to dive into a piece this big intentionally, so it worked out and I’ll do another one for it’s smaller cousin someday.
Someone pls send me a fanfiction where Jasper and Lapis talk to each other about what they done and everything ends well (and maybe they end up together, that would be very cool too)
Please it’s been two years since I’ve read a su fic

When Lapis and Peridot’s themes mix together on the Steven Universe movie soundtrack
I just reread the End of an Era book, and realised something terrifying about Lapis on my third reading.
Lapis was “new and naive” when she was sent to Earth. From the timeline, it appeared she came to Earth the same time Blue Diamond’s court was on Earth. So that Lapis silhouette in The Answer IS most likely our Lapis.
The book seems to imply that she was made just before coming to Earth, but it doesnt give an exact age for her, sadly.
This has to mean that if Lapis was brand new when coming to Earth, that she was stuck in the mirror for OVER 99% OF HER ENTIRE LIFE.
And don’t worry, it gets worse. According to the book, gemkind has been around for 20,000 years, and Lapis was in the mirror for 5,600 years. To give you an idea of just how long Lapis was in the mirror, she was in it for 28% OF GEM HISTORY.
And here’s some other comparisons for fun-
Pearl is 11,000 years old, Lapis was in the mirror for 50.91% of Pearl’s life.
Sapphire is 8,000 years old, Lapis was in the mirror for 70% of Sapphire’s life
Ruby is 6,000 years old, Lapis was in the mirror for 93.33% of Ruby’s life
Garnet was first formed 5,750 years ago, Lapis was in the mirror for 97.39% of Garnet’s life.
Jasper is 5,200 years old, Lapis spent 400 more years in the mirror then she has existed.
Amethyst is 5,000 years old, Lapis spent 600 years more time in the mirror then Amethyst has existed.
Peridot is 3,000 years old, Lapis spent 2,600 more years in the mirror then Peridot has existed. (That’s almost TWICE as much)
