mtv really had product placement for reese’s and then decided to make it a central part of the whole show. reese’s is chocolate and peanut butter, a weird but good combination. stiles offers one to lydia at the ice rink, then talks about unexpected romantic pairs. then, peter eats one when talking to derek about paige and says “perfect combinations are rare in an imperfect world.” the reese’s connects to perfect combinations which connects to the relationships. all because they had to toss out that brand name. they really do not do things half way.
