Artober 2020, Vunerable and endangered animals. Day 26: Iberian lynx
The Iberian lynx is the world’s most endangered feline species. It is classified as endangered and the population is currently just over 400 individuals. This is due to extensive conservation efforts. In 2002 there was only 100 individuals left. The Iberian lynx lives in the Iberian
Pepinsula, the southwest corner of Europe including Spain and Portugal.
The Iberian lynx looks a lot like it’s more known Eurasian cousin but is about half it’s weight. It also, unlike the Eurasian lynx, a “beard” around it’s face.
There are a combination of reasons why the Iberian lynx is threatned. It’s been a decrease in their main prey, rabbits, which in turn has affected the population. They’re loosing habitat due to infrastructures like roads and many of them dies from being hit by cars. There is also some illegal hunting.
What you can do for the Iberian lynx:
-Support WWF efforts to save the Iberian lynx through captive breeding programs and protecting their habitats.
-Support the organisation Projecto Lynx
-Buy wine with a cork in it! A whopping 70% of farmed cork is used in bottles. When farmers are forced to plant other crops the lynx and the rabbits they hunt loose important habitat.

Prompt #5 is Ancient Rituals!
Met the fire bobcat Pokemon Instaflame
The perfect partner for strong willed trainers who search for a way to the top.
The smallest of Izumos Starters with the bravest heart of a true Warrior. Like Hanari it walks on two legs and four. When it fights it stands up and attacks with the wooden sword. Instaflame is always on the search for the perfect weapon. It sharpens the stick on it’s own till it’s perfect for it.
Every Instaflame’s sword looks different. It holds it’s weapon on the short bobtail.
To train it’s strenght it’s not afraid to climb a waterfall in a thunder storm.
Sometimes it’s fearless let it get in big trouble too!
There is a legend that the sign on it’s back was given to him by an old brave leader. This man honored it’s strong will and made him a part of his family by giving him that sign.
It’s attacks are mostly shown with it’s sword. When it trains hard it could possibility able to use a fire sword attack. So it often uses Amber and Scratch attacks.
Instaflame is based on a lynx and a japanese bobtail. It’s also based on a Samurai with a wooden sword.
Instaflames name is a bit funny story. My husband and me were on a camping trip years ago and thought the name of the gas cooker sound like a Pokemon, so we always wanted to draw one. And Lynxes are my husbands fave animals. That’s how Instaflame got it’s design and name.

TRIGGER WARNINGS: death mention, blood mention
Natural selection is a wicked beast, and those who don’t adapt, don’t survive. In a world of predator and prey, she would be the cat, never the mouse. It meant growing fangs and sharpening her talons — perfecting that hiss that made her unapproachable, but her bite was much, much worse. Rules of society had never appealed to her. She was a wild thing, who obeyed nothing but instinct and nature’s most basic law — kill or be killed. The dead aren’t to be mourned, they’re to be learned from. It’s nature. With little empathy outside of herself and an indifferent acceptance that she was simply built stronger and cleverer than most would guess, she slid into the only life that could’ve suited a girl so primal — as a contract killer. Whether creeping from amongst the shadows or sliding up beside a target with a purr and a grin, she always got her kill — but, naturally, had her own fun with them first. She boarded the Horizon stalking her prey, intent on making quick work of her target and neatly disposing of the evidence overboard. She did. But, it wouldn’t matter anyway. No one on board that ship would make it home, her included. She awoke in a new land, and immediately she sensed it. The beings here were greater than human. Like she always had been. Her wild heart belonged with the earth sprites of Terra, and amongst them, her real life began. She didn’t consider herself changed after turning — not really, anyway. All her life, she’d been the apex predator — she simply no longer needed a knife. What she hadn’t foreseen was the loss of her freedom, living caged and hidden while the ancients quarrelled. Boredom is a unique type of hunger, one quite dangerous when left unfed — and she hasn’t seen a new plaything in decades. Until now. And oh, she’s hungry.
