A quick sketch of my cosplay squad!
I’m so hyped for the upcoming #desucon frostbite! I’ve never cosplayed, and the fact that I’m going as genderbend version of Majin Buu, is really scary. I’m insecure of my chubs but I’m too excited to let that bother me! ^-^ I’m going with some amazing people so I’m sure I won’t have a thing to worry about! Well, maybe the cold weather haha!
An attempt by Super Buu to absorb Vegito backfires thanks to the latter projecting a barrier at the last second, allowing him to be sent inside Buu and not be made a part of him, only to be split back into Goku and Vegeta unexpectedly. They find their friends and family absorbed by Buu…including the Fat Buu. They remove everyone else, diminishing Buu’s power. Super Buu realises what’s going on and tries to stop them, but Vegeta removes Fat Buu from his pod, intrigued by what Super means when he says ‘I won’t be me anymore!’.
Bad move there. Once everyone’s outside his body, Super Buu reverts back to his buff absorbed form and then Kid Buu, now totally unable to be reasoned with. Fat Buu is eventually spat out, and joins the heroes’ fight against his original self. After a long battle, he’s finally defeated, with Goku wishing he could be brought back as a good person.
Since Hercule reassures everyone Fat Buu’s a good guy, the heroes use the Dragon Balls to not only bring back those killed by Buu but also erase the memory of Fat Buu from the public to ensure he’s able to start a new life living with Hercule. Kid Buu’s soul is purified and reincarnated into a human boy named Uub.
While Dragon Ball Super’s manga had Goku briefly look up where Uub is and what he’s like as a small child, Uub would properly meet Goku in the Tenkaichi Budokai at the age of ten. With no memory of his past life, he’s surprised by his own power and takes Goku’s offer to be trained under him.
In the anime-exclusive Dragon Ball GT, set five years later (ten in the dub), Uub finishes his training and goes to catch up with his family. He returns to fight the parasitic villain Bebi, only to nearly be killed. Buu sacrifices himself to save Uub, and fuses with him, explaining their shared backstory. Uub gains a version of Buu’s outfit, his powers and even lighter skin and more muscle. He assists the heroes throughout the rest of the anime, though he’s nowhere near as prominent and important to the main story after this.
Realising thanks to Goku that he’s actually much stronger than Babidi and shouldn’t need to take orders from it, especially when being verbally abused and threatened to be sealed away, Fat Buu kills Babidi. Now joyous that he’s free to do whatever he wants, Buu waits three days for Gotenks (aka ‘the really strong guy’ Goku promised him) to appear and fight him. While doing so, he befriends Mr Satan/Hercule (’Hercule’ in the English dub because of religious reasons), a martial artist who’s seen by the world’s people as its strongest man, having been an accomplished fighter in his own right and taken credit for beating Cell. Having been sent off reluctantly to defeat Buu, Satan/Hercule ends up realising the fat Majin is essentially a big child who’s never been taught right from wrong and winds up genuinely befriending him, telling Buu that killing is bad and that he shouldn’t do it anymore, which Buu accepts. Satan/Hercule can’t go through with taking him out, especially after they find a stray puppy on the verge of dying and Buu uses his powers to heal it, and the dog Bee winds up as the Majin’s pet.
Two terrible human beings, a rich man and his fat servant, go on a killing spree during this, using the blanket of Buu’s previous rampages to get away with it. They come across Bee the dog and shoot it, greatly angering Buu to the point he’s fuming, though Satan/Hercule beats up the gunmen and shows Buu the dog is still alive, allowing the pup to be healed again. The leader of the duo shoots Hercule in the gut, setting Buu off once again, and tells his new friend after healing him to run away with the dog as he can’t hold his rage back any longer. The smoke that comes from him winds up forming into a thin grey Buu, all of his evil separated from him.
Evil Buu doesn’t talk in the manga, quickly establishing himself by instantly vaporising the head gunman. The two Buus fight, but since there’s been more darkness in Majin Buu than good all this time, the good Fat Buu starts to lose. He tries turning his skinny counterpart into chocolate, only for the attack to literally be blown back him way, resulting in being chocolate himself. Victorious, Evil Buu consumes the chocolate him and pink smokes spews from him as he laughs. Having absorbed his good side, he undergoes a new transformation - Super Buu.
Sporting a muscular pink body and the new ability to sense people’s ki, Super Buu is cruel, cunning and intelligent, letting people’s guards down by ensuring they underestimate just how smart he really is. It’s this incarnation of the deadly villain that introduces us to the idea of absorption, eventually absorbing Gotenks, Piccolo and a newly strengthened Gohan in order to eliminate obstacles in his desire to be the strongest while also adding to his own power and giving him an edge against another enemy.
But first, the moment he’s formed, the fat gunman tries to shoot Super Buu. It doesn’t go well…at all.
Me dodging negativity all through 2020! Happy New Year everyone! 🍾 🎇

Continuing their destructive rampage, Babidi has Buu turn everyone in the next town into chocolate, which Buu gobbles up with greedily, burping with a messy face. After eating everyone, he pats his now full and widened belly with satisfaction.
Chapter 242′s adaptation in the anime has a nice centre shot of Buu inhaling as he gets ready to take in his vast snacks. As he swallows the hard candy, the belly looks snugly contained by the belt before the sudden thud of the food sends it bulging out like a big round ball.
