I’ve never done color palettes before, but heres some off of movies I like :>
Pelle: Well we think of life like the seasons. So you’re a child until you’re 18 and that’s spring. And then at some point we all do our Pilgrimage, which is between 18 and 36, and that’s summer. And then from, eh - 36 to 54, we’re working age, which is *fall*. And then finally from 54 to 72 you become a mentor.
Dani: What happens at 72?
[Pelle makes a comical throat slash gesture; Dani laughs]

Here’s another photo of me during the midsummers day sometime during the 1980s. Complete with a floral wreath on my head. It’s obviously not from the same year as the previous photo. Here I look a bit older and not that thrilled to participate in our midsummer customs and traditions. Either that or I were just shy when whoever took the photo. At least I wore my red overall/bib-and-brace. Maybe a favorite garment at the time? I can’t remember.
That little dude right there, wearing a truckers cap and red overall/bib-and-brace is me during the day at midsummer. The exact year is unknown but judging from my young age it has to be during the 1980s. The place is the local garden compound in our city where we raise the maypole and then dance. Not to be confused with the procedures shown in the 2019 film “Midsommar”. 😋
Ok, since I was a dumbass and accidentally deleted my post before,
Anyways yegg, Christian from Midsommar was shitty and all, but the cult Dani joined are literally implied to be racists, and don’t like colored people. Christian was drugged and RAPED so the cult could trick Dani into thinking he was cheating on her, and then they murdered him and his friends.
So yegg, while I do like this film, and I have nothing against the director having these elements in it, since they aren’t glorifying any of that shit, could y’all stop acting like it’s some “woke feminist film” cause the point of it is clearly goin over your heads…
((And btw, im a Latino chick and victim of rape, so it would be appreciated if you didn’t clown on my post, thank!)
Well that’s the last time I watch ANY movie without looking up warnings for it first.
Does he feel like home to you?
So I watched Hereditary last night and I just want to know if anyone else, especially the occultists and demonologists, thought that Paimon was an odd choice for the demon that is worshipped and does weird shit until he gets his vessel.
I mean…Paimon is just an intellectual and good looking AF. I don’t know why he’d be considered to be that violent and cruel. I don’t think he’d mind having a cult, but as for an offering after being invoked/evoked, I…um…idk why he would want cut off heads (unless they were trying to reference the “face of a woman” feature). Not to mention there was like no ceremonial magic to summon him in the first place lol but nuances of it. It’s just a movie so it’s not like I expected them to be completely accurate lol it’s just the way everything was put together.
These are just thoughts. I’m no demon expert but they are fun to study. If I were to pick a different daemon for the movie, I would totally go with Piccolus, the psychopomp from Siberian folklore that will deliberately fuck with your entire family if you don’t honor him with candles after a loved one passes. It would’ve been very interesting for a family cult to have that tradition or maybe even be twisted enough to allow Piccolus to initiate his own fuckery so the family could fight amongst themselves to pick who will be the human sacrifice for Piccolus Lmao. Just saying.
But I still liked hereditary. I also watched Midsommar which was…like…
that sure is a lot of flowers
Sometimes karma comes in the form of being burned alive inside a dead bear. And that’s okay.
