I don't want to sound like a conservative old person but i really do think we should talk more about how the music industry has made such a shift in the last decade that songs about sex are so popular and main stream that even little kids are singing them without knowing thats what they're singing about!
This is not me calling out artists btw. You've got artists from lil nas x to nicki minaj to miley cyrus getting dragged on every social media for creating content thats not always sfw and people keep parroting 'think of the children!!' at them and calling for artists to be less nsfw or even take down their work because it doesn't fit the guidelines.
I cannot emphasise enough how good of a thing it is that Artists are allowed to take creative liberties. A lot of content that is breaking boundaries is still even barely acceptable today in most places in the world and 6+ years ago it would've caused riots. We've done a lot to get where we are and i do not want that work to be undone because the people who are asking for take downs and clutching their pearls don't want to step up and be parents and actually guide their kids through how the internet should be used.
But that doesn't mean there not a conversation to be had about how radios and shops will play songs like 34+35 by ariana grande, which is literally about a sex position, where little kids can and do listen to them and then start singing them too! it makes me a little worried because while these songs are not explicit in their wording I don't think subtle sexual lyrics should be commonly known by kids
