Someone just said Ronan looks like Miley Cyrus and that is the only thing I’ll except from now on
In what world can a 5 or 82 year old do the Hoedown Throwdown Ms. Cyrus? Hm? I couldn’t even do that when I was 9 or even now in my 20′s.
So as we all know, Miley Cyrus, an absolute queen, entered into the world of rock and roll music in November of 2020. I think I speak for most people when I say that I'm glad she's finally found her sound. It's been a long time coming because her start on Disney, while iconic, gave her some rough years. Plastic Hearts sends me on a whole-ass roller coaster, but my favorite song on the whole album is Angels Like You.
I'm not the most well-versed in the world of relationships, but I've definitely had my heart broken into thousands of tiny pieces before. The worst part of getting your heart broken is when you know that it wasn't because of anything your partner did, it was because they were too good. Miley Cyrus does a great job of portraying the sadness behind leaving someone to give them a better life.
"I brought you down to your knees, 'Cause they say that misery loves company" - This lyric makes me think of all the times I brought someone down with my own problems. I think this was Miley's way of explaining to her beau (I just love that word, so I had to use it) why she needed to leave him.
"It's not your fault I ruin everything And it's not your fault I can't be what you need" - This is one line in the song that I can't get out of my head. It sums up all of the pain in this song with breakups, not being enough for someone, the loss of love, and trying to give the person you loved a little bit of peace. You can hear all of her feelings in this one line, which is beyond impressive to me.
10/10 would recommend this song if you ever need to feel better after a breakup or just yell to feel something/get something off your chest.
I'll be back with more soon, but right now I'm going to go listen to this song and scream it at the sky :)
